Apparently the White Sox are only paying 2M for Youkilis for the rest of the year.

He has sucked this year but kinda surprising this is the best the Red Sox could get for him.

In a way he sort of killed his own value with the constant complaining and issues from last year's collapse but Red Sox got something decent out of the deal. It also didn't help how hot Middlesbrook has been to the point people wanted Middlesbrook to stay on the roster.

Any deal was going to involve the Red Sox "eating" most of his contract since nobody wanted to touch it. His last rant probably was the final straw and they wanted him gone as soon as possible.

just realized even though the yankees are 2 games ahead if the os, the os have played 11 mre games vs al east (32 to 21) and yankees are only 11-10 so..that makes me feel good

Damn. Not really that bummed about it all things considered. I knew they weren't coming back against the Yankees bullpen. I'm just glad they got Dickey off the hook and managed to come back against Sabathia.
