People bitch about this shit every year. No matter how the show is, you can BANK on coming on here and hearing about how dissapointed people were.

24 was amazing and I heard the same complaints.

Also, I think the rose colored glasses of nostalgia are set to full strength if you call this a "one match show", and then put over Wrestlemania 12, or 13. Or 3 and 6 for that matter.

Honestly I think it was more the length of the match than anything. When Bret has to fucking sit down to catch his breath, you know you booked the match about 10 minutes too long.

I don't think this was a "one match show" as much as people were hoping something on the undercard would be a great match. Everything on the undercard was, well, undercard material. Nothing made a moment for itself. The Vince/Bret match was painful to watch. Rey and Punk were solid, but not enough hype for a great one. Edge/Jericho were solid to good. Bats and Cena were solid. But nothing jumped out.

And of course everyone is going to be POed that Shawn lost. This streak is getting damn stupid. There is no one that can me me believe that Taker will ever lose at Mania. Ever.

IF HBK cant beat Taker, what the hell chance does Ted Dibiase Jr have?

Theres a handful of guys that would make a good match with Taker at WM right now. Cena, Jericho and HHH stand out as guys that would be options for ME calibre matches with Taker which the streak has gotten. They could also go with Kane again based on backstory but he is really nothing more than a glorified jobber at this point.

Fair enough, but if this was a bad show for those reasons then there have been a lot of Wrestlemanias that are bad shows.

I thought 4 matches on the card were pretty good. It wasn't "Oh my god best show ever", but it was better than a lot of Wrestlemanias. Not in the top group, but nowhere near the bottom.

I was thinking 8 was better but I guess that show only had one "great match" in Savage/Flair and Taker/HBK tonight was better. Piper/Hart was pretty good but tonight had Jericho/Edge. I don't know really..... all I can say is that I was let down but this Mania wasn't one of the worst ever. I think it is going to get harsher treatment because it had really high expectations going in, where as last year the card wasn't anything special so no one cared it was a one match show.
