Getting bored of waiting for the DLC for 360 now. They announced it before it came out, and its taken them 3 months to deliver. I don't think there will be a 'Pack 2'.

Give it another year. 2010 might be something else. They're real close to a winner. Get 2009 for cheap, though.

Def a rental. I got it through Gamefly, played it for a week or two and beat just about everything. After that wasn't much more I was interested in. Not one to keep just doing random matches all the time.

In bad news for WWE & THQ, the SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 video game has not sold nearly as well as the previous year’s version. Sales were down 22% at of the end of the year compared with the same time period for the 2008 version of the game. THQ was hoping to break even this year, but lackluster sales for the WWE game as well as the SpongeBob SquarePants game (down 19% from last year) will make it difficult for the video game publisher. “The WWE decline is particularly concerning since that franchise had been one of THQ’s last bastions of strength.” The decline was said to be more alarming since this year’s game had considerably better critical reviews compared to last year.

Exclusive: Publishing giant THQ have today announced to its staff that it will be closing down its studios.

THQ have contacted N-Europe and debunked the story. Meanwhile our source has apparently confirmed that THQ's office in Woking, Surrey was allegedly closed this morning. The site is the home to THQ Wireless, a main UK branch of the publisher. Check back for an official statement soon.

An insider source confirmed to N-Europe this morning that THQ's staff have been informed of the company's imminent closure this morning.

THQ were established in 1989 and have since been responsible for producing numerous critically acclaimed titles, including fan-favourite De Blob and the WWE series, and are set to publish Deadly Creatures for the Wii next month.

THQ closed five studios back in November due to financial difficulties - sadly, it appears that the company couldn't get past their troubles.

It is not yet known how many jobs will be lost or which games will be cancelled, but a formal announcement should follow according to our source.

Oh fuck. After the best SvR in years? I have theories on how all these studios hurting will be the greatest thing to ever happen to the industry come 4 years, but for now it's looking sad.

Pros:
-Best SvR in years.
-Road to Wrestlemania actually good.
-Career mode is decent (with Ability guide in tow).
-Tag Team gameplay is fun.
-Highly customizable (rosters, move-sets, entrances).
-Fun with four guys who know what they're doing.
-Highlight Reel is cute.
-Crowd says "You can't see me!" during 5 Knuckle Shuffle.

Cons:
-SvR's been half-assed for years so...
-CAW is okay visual options wise, but the ability system is ass-backwards. You have to earn each ability rather than simply setting them right from the outset. And until a patch comes, you can't even clone a complete CAW - you have to earn them again for any more CAW's. Gay.
-Custom themes (360) still need individual playlists on your XBox HDD.
-Online mode is elephant dick rape.
-Submission system is broken, illogical (Tazz can't submit you with Taz-fucking-mission?!)
-Crowd says "You can't see me!" during 5 Knuckle Shuffle.

- IF YOUR FUCKING (insert however many years ago it came out) GAME HCTP IS SO MUCH BETTER ON A LAST-GEN CONSOLE YOU HAVE A PROBLEM
_ In fact, fuck that. If your previous games in the same fucking franchise on Nintendo consoles were better, you have a problem. (WM 2000, No Mercy and both DoR's. Hell, even enjoyed WM19 more than SDvR)

I mean come on, it's a one fall match with KO's on, Triple H is about to hit a pedigreee and I just got up, I should be able to knock them the fuck out before hitting the move. WHY DO WE NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO HIT PEOPLE MID-MOVE.

I'm sick of PS2 and I popped in No Mercy for N64 the other day. I've been playing that for a little bit, had fun with it for a little bit then got kind of sick of it. Probably cause I played it so much back in the day.....old game...

Finally getting a 360 this month, which I'ma get this game for it. I honestly could really careless about custom themes. Is that just during the entrances? I never actually took the time to watch the entrances...I just want to play the game.

Kalyx, the submission system, to me, has been broken for a long time. There were times were I was wrestling a great match and I put someone in a finishing submission hold and the CPU doesn't give up then I get put in a headlock or something and I give up. F-ed up.

Yeah so I'm hearing a lot of people say that WWE leaked the info of the 2nd DLC pack by mistake before pulling it from their website (probably when they realized the first one never came out for 360)

It was meant to be:

-Vladimir Kozlov
-Primo
-Mike Knox
-Manu

Plus The Brian Kendrick as an extra character (similar to how Jericho's new attire is a separate guy) as well as alternate attires for Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton, Shawn Michaels, and Carlito.

Release: May 2009.

LOL wow, I was just checking to see if The Pitt had been fixed yet, and apparently the DLC pack for 360 came out about 4 days ago, and nobody seemed to make it public knowledge. Super Crazy is still in it, and it includes the Chris Jericho attire.
