Anyone who says HBK/Taker was booked poorly is fucking stupid. HBK literally kicked out of/countered everything MULTIPLE times. He kicked out of more of Taker's finishers in one match than anyone will probably for the rest of the year. Again, if HBK had won this match and nothing other than the last move changed, you could say HBK dominated Taker in this match.

There was one great match, and 2-3 very good matches.

There was only one really awful match. Were the Legacy and HHH/Sheamus matches so bad? No. They were solid, and that's the midcard.

How many Wrestlemanias are working with much better?

The MITB match was shit! There is too many people in it for each to actually get any substantial offence in. What did Shelton Benjamin do? He steals the show every year in that match.

Dolph Ziggler? Drew McIntyre? Fucking Jack Swagger? I can't remember anything these guys did.

Which is odd because Wrestlemania's have improved a lot in the last decade. Probably because until the 2000s Mania was all about a BIG ASS main event and then a bunch of other filler matches with the odd big secondary match.

WM 23 truly was shit though.

In what lifetime is Wrestlemania 18 better than this? Because it happened closer to the attitude era?

The Wrestlemania 18 card was dead aside from Rock/Hogan (hot crowd for a bad match), and Taker/Flair (great match)

The main event was dead. The rest of the card was shit. Austin jobbing out Hall was no better or different than the HHH/Sheamus match.

People need to get over the old days.

My thoughts exactly. Mania 18 had similar matches and the buildup for several of them (Jericho/HHH namely) as absolute shit. All of the marquee matches for this year's show had a fantastic build.

I don't think Shawn's overall wrestling career is finished just yet, but I think that the week-by-week regular component of it is. He doesn't have to do it anymore, and should take pride in what he's accomplished, be happy with his other stuff in his life, tend to family, enjoy his spiritual pursuits and just take his mind and body and float for a while.

And go out there in the world and have some fun too...get as far away from WWE for the larger body of this year, and maybe make one last comeback for something at the Georgia Dome next April(true last match against Trips, anyone?), and maybe get into the WWE HOF next year.

Shawn 'HeartBreak Kid' Michaels-2011 WWE HOF Inductee...needs to happen.

And for UnderTaker, for a guy who turned 45 just mere days ago, he's shown that he is the Greatest Ever Big Man in wrestling history. It was more logical that he won at Mania this year, and as a loyal fan and true to Taker since Winter 1992, I'm happy he's 18-0. Regardless of the 'Cena Flak' that exists online, I support the idea of Cena V. Taker in Atlanta next spring. It might be the last major opponent Taker would need to face at Mania anyway, so you might as well blow the farm on that for the Georgia Dome.

And if Taker wins that match, give him a break at WM XXVIII in Spring 2012, let him win that match, see him get to 20-0, and then...well, who knows beyond then, huh?

The UnderTaker and Shawn Michaels...rivals in the ring, and Icons Both.

Thanks Taker and HBK. =)

And Congrats, DeadMan. 18-0! =D

This mania was good. Why shit on it. The Tag team titles wasn't given enough time IMO, but MITB, Rey/Punk, Edge/Jericho, were good. I dont care about the divas, HHH/Ginger was good and clean and I truly feel that Cena/Bats was good until the botched Powerbomb spot, and the sloppy ending. I couldn't expect more out of them actually, so they get a solid 3 stars.

Taker/HBGod was great. I KNEW the outcome, and found myself rooting for Shawn ot kick out. I marked like I haven't marked in a long time( 12 months actually). I love how Taker built frustration, and even showed frustration/remorse for Shawn not staying down. Loved it to death. And I had Goosebumps when Taker helped Shawn up,and hugged him. It was a great moment for two of the most loyal WWE'ers left.

It definitely isn't. The Iron Man is over-rated as shit if you ask me.

I think people (myself included) forget that there has only been like 5 or 6 really good Wrestlemania's, so this is actually one of the better ones.

I'd just like it more if this forum as a whole would admit to not liking it because of what year it takes place in.

There's like 3 Wrestlemanias out of 26 that have more than 2 high quality matches. The battle is won and lost based on how good the undercard is.

for the 10th billionth time, it's all matter of opinion. I thought 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 14, 15, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 were all good shows. I haven't seen the next five so I can't judge.

I guess I am easy to please

Yeah, remember in the Attitude era where a good amount of the undercard was thrown in seemingly at random? At the biggest show of the year I'd rather watch a match I actually gave a shit about going in than just seeing Wrestler A thrown into a match against Wrestler B with no prior build.

I'm not saying this was a terrible Mania, but I really didnt have high expectations coming into the show. But hands down, the worst match was easily Bret/Vince. Vince had little to no offense, and it was mostly Bret's family that did all the work. Bret even had to sit down during the middle of the match!

My only other complaints is the usual wins by Rey and Cena. Though I do like that Jericho gets more than a one month title reign.

My Thoughts...

Cena going to that part of the crowd with the I Hate Cena T-shirts and just holding up the title was Epic. I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

Also I didn't see this discussed but I also LOL at the HHH fears Divorce sign and how it was confinscated right after it was on TV. Awesome.

Bats-Cena the end was pretty hot and Taker/HBK lived up to expectations. Greatness.

Hart-Vince was so hard to watch but what did we expect I guess. It was what it was.

MITB was good imo too. Swagger was a shock of a winner so intrested where they take that.

Jericho winning made my night too. I was looking for an Edge win so the suprise win by Jericho there was nice.

I don't think it was one of the best but certainly wasn't one of the worst either, some people just get too cynical. Sit back and enjoy sometimes ya know.

Some of you are complaining that Bret Hart sat down in a chair during his match with Vince McMahon. What. The. Fuck. Are you so fucking dense that you can't realize Bret was taunting Vince by doing that? Seriously, what the fuck.

He was visibly blown up at that point. Like, really badly. I get the point of the spot, but it was legitimately used as a resting spot for Bret.

What was good about that match?

The chair beating and the finish needed to be done and if it was only that, I'd have said I expected it, whatever. EVERYTHING before it was unnecessary and drawn out. I'm not the only one who thinks this. About 70k people at that stadium agreed. They popped for exactly ONE spot, the rest of the match was dead silence.

You're going to tell me that a man getting blown up and looking like shit in the ring is entertaining? Bret looked sad in there and he should have stayed out as far as I'm concerned. He just revealed himself to a whole new generation of fans, and those fans are going to look at that match and never think twice about watching a Bret Hart match. They won't want to.

Triple A just replaced Ryan Clark's WM results page with his own. Its a must read with comments like

"So much fucking screaming/shrieking.
Dunno wtf is going on right now.
Gail Kim in, does some shit.
Some blonde chick.
Maryse.
“The French Kiss” on the Asian chick.
Some chick who is black I think comes in."

Now why do we need RC again?
