Checked it out. Didn't sign up for anything and only downloaded the app. Has a bunch of Border City Wrestling episodes and a few other Indy promotions. Without signing up though only thing I could watch was Impact recaps and Xplosion episodes.

The reason behind Jacobs being let go was that he posted a photo on Instagram taken at the Raw show in Ontario, California with The Young Bucks, Adam Page, and Marty Scurll. This came when the Bullet Club was doing a mock invasion of Raw for their "Being the Elite" YouTube show.

Jacobs captioned the photo with, "Pleasant surprise to see old friends in lovely California. #BCInvasion #RAW #youngbucks #bulletclub #villian #hangmanpage #WWE"

Several WWE wrestlers had actually appeared on Being the Elite in recent times, including Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, and AJ Styles making cameo appearances on an episode that was released in August, but the situation clearly changed when the reaction to the mock invasion wasn't taken well by WWE.

Lol, that Santino statement is hilarious.

"His overall contribution to the industry has been quite damaging and by no means, is he an authority. He was merely tolerated and permitted, by real men, to be around the business during one of the best eras in history. Hey don’t get me wrong I’m not an authority either but I’ve been around great men in this business that truly are and trust me he is NOT on that list."

Followed up with:

"I was not opposed to learning from him, in fact I regret not being able to"

Which one is it?

"Put it this way, when I grow up I wanna be like Vince, but if I ever end up like you, I will consider my life a failure."

"He sh**s on the comedic component and my in ring ability but duh I’m from OVW so he’s actually sh**ting on himself and the company that he partly owns. He’s also sh**ing on his “friends” Rip, Danny, and Al, that all had a hand in my development and training, plus I can list off many great and iconic comedic wrestlers, 1st and foremost however is the late great Bobby Heenan."

That's just the precursor stuff before his account of events, which don't seem to match what you see in the video at all, or include the part about him accusing Jim Cornette of rape.

*There have been reports that Neville walked out of Raw. That is incorrect. He was never on the road this past weekend as he did not work any of the live events and was not backstage, at any point, during Raw this past Monday. Mustafa Ali worked the Raw house shows, wrestling Enzo Amore, replacing Neville, who was originally slated for those shows.

*The original plan for Raw was Neville vs. Enzo Amore, but that was changed late in the day when it became known Neville would not be at the taping (possibly when everyone was made aware he wasn't going to be there, because there was discussion of making it a non-title match after it was noted Neville technically could "not have" a title shot vs. Enzo), the decision was made to go with Kalisto and put the belt on him as a way to tie him to the legacy of Eddie Guerrero, as it was Guerrero's birthday and he legitimately helped inspire Kalisto to get into professional wrestling.

*According to two different sources, Neville has pushed for a release with the idea of leaving the company and building his name outside of it, similar to what Drew McIntyre did prior to his return to NXT. Obviously, New Japan would be thrilled to have him back and he'd make a killing on the independent and international scene.

*We have been told there were several factors Neville was unhappy with. One source claimed a souring point was being left off of the Wrestlemania 33 DVD, which meant no royalties from what is traditionally the biggest selling WWE DVD of the year.

*Neville is still under contract to the company and has not been released. It is entirely possible the two sides will come to terms and he will return to the company, but as of right now, we are told he is not factored in any of the current plans for the Cruiserweight division or any other WWE brand and is not slated to travel to any house shows.

The amended lawsuit, seeking $1.2 million in damages, now lists World Wrestling Entertainment as a defendant. The original lawsuit listed only Bullard and 1-300 "John Does" as the defendants.

In the suit, Anderson alleges he was placed into an unsafe environment and was physically attacked by Bullard while filming content for Swerved, WWE Network's Jackass-inspired reality series. The incident in question that Anderson was filming saw WWE talent Paige shocking Bullard with an electric shock stick. The complaint alleges that Bullard became enraged and went after Anderson, kicking his camera out of his hand, leading to injuries on his hand, wrist and fingers to the point he could not work. Anderson also claims in the suit that he was instructed to leave the scene out of fear that O'Neil might go after him again and was "whisked" from the scene.

In an email to talent today, Gabe Sapolsky noted the company are mulling over different possibilities for how they will stream their events going forward, but made it clear that WWE Network was not one of the current options, noting he wanted to kill any rumors.

As we noted earlier, the company would be dark for November, so this weekend's events in Queens, NY and East Haddam, Connecticut will be the final EVOLVE events until December with SHINE as the final WWNLive event overall until December. As we noted previously here on PWInsider.com, WWN will be cutting back on events as they had expended to five events a month as part of their deal with Flosports. Financially, there's no way WWNLive cannot be hurting, especially given they claim they are owed months of payments from Flosports.

The difference is those talents are stars, while Jacobs was "just" a writer and there is a culture behind the scenes where if you are seen as trying to get yourself over, when that isn't your role, it backfires on you, even if that wasn't what you were trying to do. I have had a number of WWE sources swear to me that a major reason Brooklyn Brawler was let go after decades of service to the company was his social media usage and other things that put him in the sights of the wrong people in the company who didn't like it, because "that wasn't his role ...

However, there was also a feeling from WWE sources that by going outside during an active TV taping when he was supposed to be working as a writer,Jacobs was seen as "ignoring his job" to get himself and his friends over. One WWE source believed that the while the photo was being used as the reason to fire Jacobs, it wasn't the only issue, noting that he had taken some time off to deal with a personal issue before returning to work this past summer, and that may have put a target on his back.

"Our audience tells us what they love, what they don't like and worse, what they don't care about. And you have to be listening, and in WWE, yes, we do, we pivot on the fly," McMahon said. "It's an advantage that we're live. We do set our storylines out a year in advance, WrestleMania being our Super Bowl and then we program backwards, but things happen. As noted, El Rey will pay something for programming, but not nearly enough to produce the show at close to the level it as been done at. El Rey and Robert Rodriguez would maintain having an ownership stake if it moves to a new station. The obvious issue is what television station would want a show with a budget of $400,000 per episode that draws 100,000 to 175,000 viewers weekly over two airings, and more importantly, where viewership generally has been down this season and not up, and overall buzz is way down. According to one person close to most of the parties involved, there is a major divide among the management team. On one side, they want to shut the project down, arguing that the costs are too high and after three seasons they’ve never made any money. The feeling on that side is that you know where you stand, the audience isn’t growing, and anything more would be throwing good money after bad. Two key executives are of that belief. On the other side is Eric Van Wagenen, Dorian Roldan and Vampiro, who all believe in the project and feel it just needs time and better exposure to watch on. Alex Garcia and Antonio Cue-Navarro, who put up the money for the last two seasons, have refused to put more money into the project. Right now it appears that unless they can find new funding, or get a new TV station to pay the costs, the choice is to stay on El Rey for a heavily stripped down version or to close it down.

No, you couldn't. You couldn't nourish all the deer in the world with the people who give a shit about The Young Bucks. And the people who complain about The Young Bucks are on the fringes of that.

It's nice to see marks back, but it's just a shame they're backing a team that will never get over.

The shows will take place at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in New Delhi on December 8th and 9th. Mahal, the Singh Brothers, and Owens will be appearing at them despite it being a Raw-branded tour. Others who have been advertised for the events are Roman Reigns, Finn Balor, Braun Strowman, Alexa Bliss, Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, The Miz, Sasha Banks, and Bayley.

Omega talked about how shocked he was at the reception he got tonight. He said he was only suppose to work the Global Wars tour show in Chicago, but supply and demand takes precedence and he goes where he's needed and wanted. Matt Jackson took the mic and mentioned the Bullet Club "invasion" of Raw to a huge pop. He talked about having the freedom to do what he wants and said he won’t get fired for taking a selfie with a friend or fan.

Matt mentioned how we help feed their families before Nick interrupted to say that they'll see their families on Christmas, referencing WWE having Raw live on Christmas this year. That drew a huge "F*ck Vince" chant. Matt said Vince McMahon takes fun away from fans and told the fans to tell Vince what we think -- with the entire audience giving a Too Sweet.

Omega quoted the movie "Braveheart" about never taking away their freedom, then he said goodbye and goodnight to the audience. The Bullet Club's music played and they jumped into the crowd to end the show.

There is an option built into the contract that would renew, and most expect that it will be renewed, given that Lesnar will be 41 next summer and that’s simply not the age you sign a three-year contract and turn your back on WWE. And Lesnar’s programs with Goldberg, Joe and Strowman jump started the main event scene at two different times that ratings were in the toilet and things were kind of blah. WWE does have certain rights to Lesnar that, if a new deal isn’t signed, will go through the first week of August. The entire dynamic has changed in the sense the Jon Jones fight would have been so lucrative that Lesnar would have let his contract expire, signed with fight Jones, and then, after the fight, probably returned to WWE. But that fight is off, and unless Jones gets a one-year suspension out of all this, it will probably never happen. The feeling across the board right now is that Jones vs. Lesnar will never happen. If Lesnar does want to do another UFC fight, if they wait until August, that would be the cleanest way to do so in the sense WWE would have no rights to him. One thing is that Lesnar evidently felt the deal last year, where he wrestled through Mania and fought in early July, left him too little time to get into top shape. It worked out because he won, but he would rather have a four month window as far as getting back into that kind of shape before a training camp, so if he did want to fight next year and the opportunity came up, he really wouldn’t want to do so until August anyway, so that explains why White said that date. Plus, those inside say that even though WWE is repped by WME IMG, the owners of UFC, that things aren’t smooth. White has said he has a good business relationship with HHH, but it’s more difficult with Vince.

Some other sheet news includes:
  • Based on fan reports, The Young Bucks debuted a new chant and hand sign during ROH Global Wars: Buffalo show called the "One Sweet." Its pretty much just making the number one sign with your finger.
  • WWE recently added a new collection series to the WWE Network called "New to the Network" which is basically curated new programmed added each week to the Network.
  • Sports Illustrated had a recent interview with Joey Ryan talking about how much money he makes in the WWE, if his character could even work in PG Era WWE, and his status in Lucha Underground. http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/...racter-in-wwe/
  • Facebook recently held an interview with Triple H talking about if he will wrestle again, his relationship with The Rock, and possible plans for a match against The Rock in the future. http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/...-wrestlemania/

It's good that she finally has her own merchandise, but I can't help but think that it's just about three years too late.

If this was on sale when Fox was at the height of her crazy gimmick, then I'm sure it would have sold quite well and we probably could have had more of the crazy Alicia Fox.

Now, she's not that crazy these days. Nowhere near as crazy as she was back in 2014.

And again, I can't help but think that this T-shirt won't really sell well for two reasons.

1. It's not even listed on the "New Arrivals" section of WWEShop.
2. To someone who doesn't watch wrestling, the design would insinuate that the wearer is a furry.

If we're only counting the wrestlers who have never left since debuting, then Natalya is actually the longest serving female wrestler but only just.

She debuted in April 2008 and Alicia Fox debuted in June 2008 and both have been with the company since.

Our sources were unable to confirm if she left the show angrily … however, we’re told Jax HAS been granted a leave of absence for personal reasons by management. It’s unclear how long she’ll be gone or what spawned her decision.

We’re told filming for Total Divas is complete, so this likely won’t affect her role on the show.

Wouldn't Kane be going after Roman Reigns because he retired The Undertaker? If The Undertaker comes back to defend him, then why would Kane fight him? It makes no sense. Therefore it goes up in likelihood.

So Enzo was helping the 3rd hour ratings whereas Roman hurt them? Listening to the SCG Radio podcasts on the timeline, it's incredible to look back and see how much information WCW had in 1999. Things were going well in 1998, but they were getting feedback from the ratings where certain acts were scoring lower than the average rating for the show. It's obviously not that dramatic, but the 3rd hour doing well under Enzo but not under Reigns makes a very clear statement that is going to be very frustrating in retrospect.

PWInsider.com can confirm, however, that Jax was not at this week's Raw taping, although she was originally slated to be there. One source believed that the original plans for Sasha Banks going into the TLC PPV was for her to face Jax, not Alicia Fox.

Since Jax was not at Raw, the idea she "walked out" of the taping cannot be true.

PWInsider.com can also confirm that Jax is no longer scheduled to film material for the new season of Total Divas this week in New York City. She had been slated to film content tomorrow and Friday, one source close to the production of the reality series has told us. So, Jax is absolutely off the road for dates that she was originally slated to work for the company - but the root cause of that, whether that be approved time off or something else, remains to be seen.

On Wednesday’s Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez and Mike Sempervive discussed the Nia Jax rumors. It’s an odd story because no one has officially confirmed anything, other than a denial from WWE about her leaving. There’s also the story from Pro Wrestling Sheet with a source telling them that she took a leave of absence.

Alvarez said, “According to WWE, Nia Jax has not gone and she never left. That’s what they say. She was not at Raw on Monday so she didn’t walk out – that’s for sure.”

“I know that Nia Jax has been unhappy about things. I was told that Nia wanted the match with Asuka at the [TLC] pay-per-view and she’s not getting it. God bless her, I’ve seen that match live [and] I don’t want to see it at the pay-per-view. There were some other things that she was unhappy about.” To me, the fact that Emma got the match should not be taken as a slight to Jax because it’s likely that Asuka will get a squash win at TLC. Jax should be someone saved as a future (and more credible) opponent. Alvarez later added, “Something’s going on but I don’t know what it is. WWE claims there’s nothing going on. But things are going on but I don’t know what’s going on. Does that make sense?”
Quote:
Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso reported that she is unhappy with her creative and pay scale. We noted earlier that she has leverage due to her family link with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson so there are options for her, namely with The Rock’s 7 Bucks Entertainment. Eva Marie is signed with 7 Bucks and the same company has been working on a movie about Paige’s family.

When Jax returns to WWE, the betting line is that she’ll probably have a bigger paycheck.

It appears Neville's decision may be influenced in-part by Austin Aries, who left the company on amicable terms earlier this year. The SI report notes that Neville learned Aries would be making more in the next six weeks on the indies than Neville would in the same timeframe while with WWE. We noted before that Neville had pushed for his WWE release with the idea of working the indies and making a name for himself there.

Regarding his match being left off the WrestleMania 33 DVD, not only was Neville upset about missing out on the pay but he was said to be "infuriated" that the company "would disregard his service and value" after being as dedicated as he was. Neville reportedly felt that he was viewed as "nothing more than a very talented 'get-over guy' used to enhance" other Superstars

The idea of doing a Universal Champion vs. WWE Champion match for Survivor Series has been discussed for a long time, according to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The current mentality within WWE is that this is not considered a major match. There's also the idea that this will just be something for Lesnar to do on a big show, to build to bigger matches for him. It's likely that Finn Balor will be Lesnar's opponent for the Royal Rumble in January and then the plan has been for Lesnar to face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 34.

No word yet on the finish for The Beast vs. The Modern Day Maharaja but The Observer notes that Lesnar losing to Jinder makes no sense due to his recent wins over Bill Goldberg, Samoa Joe and Braun Strowman. A loss by Jinder makes SmackDown feel more like the B show. A finish with outside interference for a DQ or No Contest is always possible but finishes like that at major shows usually don't sit well with fans.

The likely reason for Michaels being added to the show is because Ring of Honor has a show in San Antonio head-to-head that night.

Originally McIntyre vs. Cole was to headline the TakeOver show in Houston until the decision was made to revive the War Games concept.

Omega is the second wrestler to be announced for Supercard of Honor 2018, joining Hiroshi Tanahashi. ROH has yet to reveal any details about the matches they'll be taking part in.

With both Omega and Tanahashi announced, it means NJPW isn't running a major date at that time, and also means that much of the New Japan talent will likely be available. Normally NJPW runs a major show at Sumo Hall in Tokyo on that weekend, and thus, the New Japan stars haven't been available to ROH for its annual Mania events.
Seems the plan by ROH is to break their all-time record for attendance which was set at last year's Mania week show. Link to the announcement: http://www.rohwrestling.com/news/bre...card-honor-xii

The current title for the series, we are told, is WWE King of The Ring. Obviously, that is a repurposing of the title of a tournament that has been around since the late 1980s, initially as an annual special event in the Boston market before graduating into its own PPV event in 1993. The King of the Ring PPV was halted in 2006 but was brought back from time to time as an attraction used to elevate talents to the next level. It was last used in 2015 with Bad News Barrett winning the tournament.

PWInsider.com has also been told that one of the broadcasters WWE is pitching is ITV, which is interesting on a number of levels.

If the show isn’t renewed, there is a lot of good talent on the free agent market and even though WWE is making money and ROH and New Japan have both grown, the latter two already are overloaded with talent, and while I could see ROH making a play for guys like Penta 0M and Fenix, or perhaps others, there’s a finite number of people they can probably add. WWE can add as many as they want, but WWE is cutting back on spending to get their profit margins up and it’s not that there is a hiring freeze (although that term has been given to me when it comes to some departments), but they are very judicious in who they sign and most of the offers are not big money offers.

WWE's tour of Europe will kick off in Glasgow, Scotland on November 1st.

Jax is just resting up since she wasn't figured into any major storylines, but according to those close to her, stories that she stormed off at Raw (she wasn't even at Raw to begin with), asked for a leave of absence, or is unhappy with her pay are all untrue.

There have been two concepts floating around over the last several weeks:

The first would be a reality series similar to Total Bellas, but focused on the Miz and Maryse. The potential series, we are told, would focus on their in-ring exploits as well as their personal lives and adventures as a married couple in Hollywood. With the couple expecting their first child, one would think that could be one of the hooks that drive the series as the Hollywood night life is far removed from being first-time parents, We are told the concept for the series is that it would also feature the couple's best friends from real life, including WWE star Dolph Ziggler.

The second discussed series would be something of an amalgamation of the old Tough Enough series, the old Diva Searches and the competition era of the WWE NXT brand. The concept would "seek out" a new female WWE star. We are told the idea that has been passed around would be that the series places its competitors on the road with WWE as they all travel together via tour bus. There would be weekly competitions that would lead to eliminations before one final winner is crowned, earning a WWE contract. WWE has been looking to revive the Diva Search idea for some time but has yet to actually do so, so this may just be the latest effort in that attempt.

The WWF did test seriously from 1992 to 1996, and during that period, things got a lot better. But for a combination of financial reasons, and competition reasons, they dropped the program. WCW tested, but everyone involved would acknowledge the WCW testing was a farce and during the early stages of the wrestling war, a generally older WCW main event roster was more physically impressive than a younger WWF roster. At one point Vince McMahon got so mad about it they ran skits accusing Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage of being on steroids, and at another point challenged WCW to do the same level of testing they were doing. When WCW started gaining in popularity, McMahon made the call to drop the testing. The death rate of wrestlers in the late 90s, and this cut across WWF, WCW and ECW, and all were bad, on a percentage basis there wasn’t much difference, was horrible. It was not the same in Japan and Mexico.

Not really an Impact Pizza just two Wrestling themed pizzas that fans will vote for. 6 sided pizza was a lay up though and they missed it.

The Sriracha Scissor Kick (spicy jerk chicken, roasted corn, black beans, salsa fresca, red onions, jalapeños, sriracha drizzle)

The Pulled Pork Piledriver (smokey pulled pork, pickled onions, red chillies, jalapeńo peppers, smoke bacon, BBQ drizzle)

They also have a drink the Atomic Drop made up of gin, tequila, rum, blue curaçao, 7-Up, and a splash of lime and lemon. Pretty sure its just a promotional thing for Bound for Glory and Impact tapings that follow.

Raw finished third for the night on cable. The Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles game did 11.28 million viewers, and the other show that beat Raw was the SportsCenter episode after the game ...

The three hours were:

8 p.m. 3.33 million viewers
9 p.m. 2.97 million viewers
10 p.m. 2.56 million viewers
Turns out the drop was the largest since RAW went to 3 hours after some more data crunching by the Observer.

Meltzer noted that the WWE is planning on adding a special guest referee to the match, though the company hasn't yet settled on who that would be. John Cena's name was mentioned as a possibility, and Bryan Alvarez pointed out that it would make sense to insert Cena into the match in order to set up a storyline with Mahal for the future.

There are other names being floated around, so Cena is not a lock to referee the match. Without naming names, Meltzer said the other possible referees might not want to do the match, so Cena might end up getting the spot by default. The WWE's main goal in adding a special guest referee is to put someone in the ring who would be intriguing with Lesnar.

Alvarez raised the possibility of the referee being Goldberg or The Undertaker, considering they are two superstars who would definitely add some intrigue. Meltzer refuted that idea because both those rivalries have run their course and he doesn't see the WWE going back to them any time soon.

What happened was Jarrett was to work shows in Calgary and Edmonton this weekend for Real Canadian Wrestling (we had mistakenly called it River City Wrestling yesterday as our first report just came in as RCW). He showed up in Calgary, in no condition to perform although he did do a match and it was said to be similar to his performance at TripleMania. The promoter said he didn't know Jarrett was in such bad shape until the match started but others there said that couldn't be the case because it was clear backstage. He told the promotion that he was held at customs and was told he had to return the next morning and would have to miss Edmonton. The promotion later found out that Jarrett rebooked his flight from Sunday morning to Saturday morning and left before the Saturday night show in Edmonton. The promotion said that Jarrett boarded a plane and left the country on his own accord Sunday morning and later said Jarrett "chose to leave the country due to his own issues."

Well, I don't even know if the gaga in the main event was a good thing. They generate this interest for something and then they cut it down. Finn Balor has, by all accounts, a tremendous showing, and then he gets squished by Kane in 2017. How does one invest time into this?

To me, it doesn't look good for Braun Strowman. They could do so much with him, but aren't. Now the latest with Kane returning to help him win the match with RR. Why would BS need help? It seems to take a lot of air out of the balloon, or am I just not getting it?

I like that you wrote BS for Braun because bringing Kane back felt like BS to me when it happened on Raw. I don’t get it either. It was totally unneeded to add him to the match. It actually made me care less, not more. The one good thing about Reigns getting sick was that at least they get another chance to do The Shield reunion. Hopefully they will do it the right way. They sure messed it up by making the TLC match a 5 on 3. As for Braun, I agree. Having him lose to one measly F5 in his match with Brock Lesnar was a huge mistake. WWE booking keeps making those. The fans want new, fresh talents to believe in and WWE just won’t give them to us ...

I saw the Impact One Night Only PPV pictures on the site. Was the crowd that bad for the entire show?

From what we were told, yes it was. We heard the number of fans for the show was 161. It says a lot about the drawing power of Impact, or lack thereof.

WrestleMania makes Forbes' Fab 40 list of most powerful sports brands

WrestleMania has once again ranked on Forbes' Fab 40. The Showcase of the Immortals, which just celebrated its 33rd edition this past April in Orlando, ranked at No. 6 on the magazine's long-running list of the world's most valuable sports brands, above institutions such as the UEFA Champions League and the Daytona 500.

This year's WrestleMania broke the Orlando Citrus Bowl's attendance record with 75,245 WWE Universe members from all 50 states and 62 different countries. The previous Orlando Citrus Bowl attendance record – 74,635 – had been set by WrestleMania XXIV in 2008.

WrestleMania also ranked on Forbes' list in 2014, 2015 and 2016.

The key are increases in profitability in most categories, with only WWE Studios and home entertainment falling below last year's numbers.

WWE Network profitability increased from $15.7 million during the third quarter last year to $24.3 million, due to a combination of more revenue and lower spending due to producing fewer original shows.

However, the 1,507,000 subscribers for the Network, while up four percent from one year ago, was a decline from the last quarter. There were 392,000 new sign-ups and 453,000 cancellations during the quarter. During the third quarter last year, there were 388,000 new sign-ups and 455,000 cancellations, so the trend was very close to identical.

This shows that the strength of the pay-per-views, as the main events were stronger this year, only has a very minor effect on subscription numbers. The other take is that the Mae Young Classic, with all the hype, really meant nothing for subscriber numbers.

They also predicted another drop in Network subscriptions, as much as 50,000, in the fourth quarter.

WWE also increased profitability of house shows, although it was by running more total events as the average attendance dropped from 5,300 to 4,900 per show.

Licensing profits went from $4.6 million to $6.7 million due to an increase in mobile game sales.
The Network's numbers dropping instead of growing is not a good sign. Still stuck in the 1.4-1.5 million range when they were expecting the 2-3+ million by now for original plans. Also some of their money increases has catches to them which can become a big issue down the line.

The company pushed the new television negotiations. The deal with NBC Universal expires on September 30th, 2019, while deals in the United Kingdom and India, the other two largest revenue television deals, expire on December 31st, 2019.

They are targeting a new U.S. deal and announcement sometime between May and September of 2018.
Right now its probably a safe bet the next US contract won't be a major increase and could probably include the removal of the 3rd hour if WWE can find a way to recoup the $20-$40 million it brings in annually.

The match is now being planned for WrestleMania 34 in New Orleans. One reason the match has been pushed back until then is because there's a RAW vs. SmackDown theme at Survivor Series, where the match was once rumored to take place. Another reason they're waiting until 2018 to do the match is the feeling that the extra time will help them get Rousey, Duke and Shafir ready for the ring.

Baszler continues to train at the WWE Performance Center under her WWE NXT deal and Rousey was at the Performance Center this past week. No word yet on the rumored Rousey vs. Flair singles match happening in the future but it was once rumored for WrestleMania.

No word yet on talks with Rock or Austin but the issue would be if they want to work the match, and with The Rock the main issue would be if his schedule would allow it, and how much WWE would have to pay him. It's unlikely that a Lesnar vs. Rock or Lesnar vs. Austin match would come out of the special referee gig at Survivor Series. The belief is that Bushiroad, the New Japan parent company, found out about his UFC marijuana test positives and in Japan, marijuana has more of a stigma than in most places, and the deal fell apart and there is no start date ... Riddle twice failed tests in UFC and had wins overturned due to positive marijuana tests. This is a key reason why WWE has held up on ever making him an offer. Some time back at a conference call I was talking with Paul Levesque on this subject and Levesque said that everyone deserves a second chance, although I don’t know they’ve made him an offer even though it was WWE who originally hooked him up with Evolve after he did so well in a tryout shortly after he started in wrestling, but they wanted to test how he’d do before offering him a deal ... Usage of marijuana is prevalent in pro wrestling which is why this seems so weird from a WWE standpoint, since WWE does fine people $2,500 a shot for marijuana, but doesn’t suspend them for it, and it’s viewed in WWE as the pot tax

That’s the company that was interested in Vince Russo for creative, but I don’t know that the deal with him is in place or not

The last episode of Lucha Underground season three aired on 10/18 and the final graphic said “To Be Continued.” People are hoping that meant something but there is still no deal made going forward.

Chris Roach, one of the writers, was on The MMM show and talked about how the reason they put the title on Sexy Star was a way to build heat for Mundo to cheat to have to beat her. The feeling is that if Pentagon was the guy who Mundo beat that his losing without coming back strong for revenge would have hurt him, and the idea for the season was to put as much heat on Mundo.

PW Insider wrote a story regarding the proposed U.K. television show and the basic gist behind the delays is as we had noted, they are looking to get a paid deal on TV in the U.K. for the show rather than have it be a WWE Network exclusive. The costs of the pilot shows where they did the U.K. tournament were very high and that’s why, after announcing they would be starting a weekly series, nothing has happened. It is still in the planning stages but it takes time to make TV deals. The PW Insider story said the working title for the show would be WWE King of the Ring. They noted the show was being pitched to ITV, which is the same thing we’ve heard, basically it’s being pitched everywhere. ITV would be the killer deal because of the reach of the station and because ITV itself was planning on doing its own weekly Saturday afternoon wrestling show.

A key point is that ITV earlier in the year was looking at doing a ten week run and then evaluating it from there. That was one of the reasons the deal with Impact fell through, although there were others regarding who would pay what costs. ITV has not dropped the idea of the show and was still looking at trying out wrestling at some point in 2018, so on the surface, WWE producing such a series makes sense for both sides. ITV gets a solid promotion which has top guys under contract and if they are on ITV, pretty much would be able to sign any U.K. talent except the guys with the New Japan or ROH deals. But one would think WWE would want more than a ten-week commitment
Some details regarding WWE's UK show plans and ITV's own wrestling show plans.

Below are highlights from the interview.

On Ric Flair’s Health

Flair: “Oh, he’s doing really well...

On Her Brother Reid’s Drug Overdose

Flair: “I got so frustrated towards the end. He was in Japan doing well before he passed. He asked me to promote something for him, and I didn’t want to because I was just angry at him for making mistakes, and I have a lot of guilt - if I had done things differently. But that’s my thing about the book. I was getting to write my letter to him, letting him know that what he wanted to do and become, I’m making sure happens. And I still haven’t really accepted that he’s gone…And I know it’s hard on my mom, for sure, hard on my mom that the only thing the world sees is her son dying of an overdose, instead of what a beautiful soul he was… So I think getting to write about him and what he meant to me in the book, meant a lot.”

On Getting Out of an Abusive Relationship

Flair: “At that time, we were young, and he had family issues as well, and I was constantly trying to make up for those - but when, in reality, we were both in unhealthy situations. And I kept thinking, 'Well maybe if I looked a certain way or acted a certain way, or if I did this better he wouldn’t do xyz.' But it really had nothing to do with me, so I was continuing to make excuses. And when you’re in a codependent relationship like that, you’re listening to what the person says, but even though they do something else and say, ‘Oh, I’m sorry. It will never happen again,’ but that’s not really how it is if the behavior never changes.”

Along with Darren Young and Summer Rae, Emma was part of a round of WWE roster cuts that were announced on Sunday morning. Rush first referenced Emma losing to Asuka in Asuka's first two main roster matches at TLC and Raw last week. In a tweet that has since been deleted, he wrote: "I guess these are the things that happen when you're not TRULY ready for @WWEAsuka."

The joke received criticism pretty quickly, including Peyton Royce pointing out that Rush just got to NXT and telling him that professionalism goes a long way. Bray Wyatt was one of the wrestlers from the main roster to respond, saying that Rush "ain't gonna make it here with the wolves."

In response to the blowback, Rush issued a statement on Twitter (with paragraph breaks added by us) just a few hours after the original post:

"At the end of the day, there's a certain level of respect within professional wrestlers in the sports & ENTERTAINMENT industry that is noted within peers. With that being said, Emma I respect you and everything you've done for our business. It saddens me that the 'controversial tweet' got completely blown out of proportion and looked at in a very insensitive way.

As a family man with a 4 year [old] son and expecting another, I would never laugh or mock the fact of someone loosing there job because of how it can affect self person and there families. Whatever the situation may be regarding the release, You're an amazing performer and respected athlete by yours truly and I'm sure you will excel beyond [expectations].

To my fans who may have seen this as inappropriate as well as Emma's fans, I apologize and I love you ALL regardless of the responses. On Behalf of myself and the WWE Goodluck!"

While Jack Gallagher, Dash Wilder, and others weren't as accepting of Rush's apology, Scott Armstrong (who works as a producer for WWE) called Rush a class act and wrote that rookie mistakes are made to be learned from.

Matches from both venues will air on the broadcast and will feature wrestlers from Raw and SmackDown, along with legends making "special appearances" at the Manhattan Center.

The Undertaker (who hasn't been on WWE television since losing to Roman Reigns and indicating that he's retiring at WrestleMania), Shawn Michaels, and Kevin Nash were the first three legends announced as being on the show. WWE has yet to reveal any other details about their scheduled appearances.

A one-night return to the Manhattan Center is WWE bringing Raw back to where the first episode of the show took place. The venue was home to Raw in the early parts of its run.

The episode will also be the go-home show for the 2018 Royal Rumble, with that pay-per-view set to take place at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 28th.

The only reason the Sin Cara character ended up where it did was because the original Sin Cara shit the bed and they pretty much gave up on the character after that. It’s been three weeks that they’ve actually put any effort into getting the guy over and it’s been going great
