Milton Bradley has a new home.
A's trade Milton Bradley to the Padres for minor league pitcher Andrew Brown and some cash. http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2921175 |

Went down to Philly for the first time to watch the Mets/Phillies game. Great time, had seats 5th row right field, right near the foul pole. We're visible in some replays where they show home run trots.
![]() Also, The Sandman came in with his kids and sit 3 rows in front of us. Pretty awesome. Was hilarious when Wagner came in. Got booed hugely, while all us Mets fans gave a standing ovation. But yeah, its a nice park. I'd go again. |

The Pirates protest is happening today. Its hilarious...they are trying to delete messages on the boards, but there are so many.
The Pirates have also reportedly told their TV coverage that they are not to show or discuss it at all during the broadcast. They have also contacted ESPN and have asked them to not show it or discuss it.

This is what I hate about ESPN, they are just corporate kiss asses. They don't give a shit about reporting the sports news, they just want to please the higher-ups in the sporting world. A team's fanbase staging a walkout is a big news story, the "Worldwide Leader in Sports" had a duty to report on it. But hey, at least it'll get replaced with one of those "My Wish" feel-good stories about a retarded kid meeting David Ortiz

Not a good sign when it takes 4 pitchers to get through one inning against the light hitting A's.
Pretty sure all the innings are catching up to Proctor because he sure is sucking lately. Myers has been awful since I can remember. Lefties are batting over .300 against him yet he is still brought into big spots to get out lefties. While this kid Ramirez has a .68 ERA in AAA, with 47 K's in 26 IP. Definitely is a good idea to leave him down there so the bullpen can continue to suck. No way he could be worse than what we have. Last edited by Dragon; 06-30-2007 at 04:56 PM. |

Yeah, if I didn't know anything about Kendall I would think hes a big power bat based on how he hits off the Yankees. I remember last year he hit his first HR in like a year or something crazy like that against us.

I was bored, so here's my predictions for the All-Star Game rosters.
American League Starting Lineup CF – Ichiro, Seattle Mariners SS – Derek Jeter, New York Yankees 3B – Alex Rodriguez, New York Yankees 1B – David Ortiz, Boston Red Sox RF – Vladimir Guerrero, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim LF – Magglio Ordonez, Detroit Tigers C – Ivan Rodriguez, Detroit Tigers 2B – Placido Polanco, Detroit Tigers Reserves OF – Carl Crawford, Tampa Bay Devil Rays SS – Carlos Guillen, Detroit Tigers OF – Torii Hunter, Minnesota Twins 3B – Mike Lowell, Boston Red Sox 1B – Justin Morneau, Minnesota Twins 2B – Dustin Pedroia, Boston Red Sox C – Jorge Posada, New York Yankees OF – Manny Ramirez, Boston Red Sox OF – Alex Rios, Toronto Blue Jays OF – Grady Sizemore, Cleveland Indians OF – Mark Teahen, Kansas City Royals SS – Michael Young, Texas Rangers Pitchers RHP - Josh Beckett, Boston Red Sox LHP - Erik Bedard, Baltimore Orioles LHP - Mark Buehrle, Chicago White Sox RHP - Dan Haren, Oakland Athletics RHP - John Lackey, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim RHP - Jonathan Papelbon, Boston Red Sox RHP - J.J. Putz, Seattle Mariners RHP - Francisco Rodriguez, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim LHP - C.C. Sabathia, Cleveland Indians LHP - Johan Santana, Minnesota Twins RHP - Justin Verlander, Detroit Tigers 32nd Man Fan Vote RHP - Jeremy Bonderman, Detroit Tigers RHP - Bobby Jenks, Chicago White Sox C - Victor Martinez, Cleveland Indians OF - Gary Sheffield, Detroit Tigers 1B - Kevin Youkilis, Boston Red Sox --------- I dunno, it’d be fairly weird if Leyland batted his 3 starters at the bottom of the order…but I can see it. Definitely some AL Central bias in the 32nd man vote, but ah well. Youkilis deserves to be in the 5-man vote, mainly because Ortiz took up his spot on the ballot at 1B. National League Starting Lineup SS – Jose Reyes, New York Mets 2B – Chase Utley, Philadelphia Phillies CF – Carlos Beltran, New York Mets 1B – Prince Fielder, Milwaukee Brewers LF – Alfonso Soriano, Chicago Cubs RF – Ken Griffey Jr., Cincinnati Reds 3B – David Wright, New York Mets C – Russell Martin, Los Angeles Dodgers Reserves OF – Barry Bonds, San Francisco Giants OF - Eric Byrnes, Arizona Diamondbacks 3B – Miguel Cabrera, Florida Marlins OF – Matt Holliday, Colorado Rockies 1B – Ryan Howard, Philadelphia Phillies OF – Carlos Lee, Houston Astros C – Paul Lo Duca, New York Mets 1B – Albert Pujols, St. Louis Cardinals 3B – Aramis Ramirez, Chicago Cubs SS – Edgar Renteria, Atlanta Braves 2B/3B/SS – Freddy Sanchez, Pittsburgh Pirates 1B/OF – Dmitri Young, Washington Nationals Pitchers LHP - Cole Hamels, Philadelphia Phillies RHP – Trevor Hoffman, San Diego Padres RHP – John Maine, New York Mets RHP – Jake Peavy, San Diego Padres RHP – Brad Penny, Los Angeles Dodgers RHP – Takashi Saito, Los Angeles Dodgers RHP – Ben Sheets, Milwaukee Brewers RHP – John Smoltz, Atlanta Braves LHP – Billy Wagner, New York Mets RHP – Brandon Webb, Arizona Diamondbacks RHP – Chris Young, San Diego Padres 32nd Man Fan Vote RHP – Francisco Cordero, Milwaukee Brewers 2B – Orlando Hudson, Arizona Diamondbacks RHP - Tim Hudson, Atlanta Braves 1B - Derrek Lee, Chicago Cubs SS – Hanley Ramirez, Florida Marlins --------- Pretty solid, but I do hate leaving guys like Hanley out (it was a tough call between him and Derrek Lee for the last guaranteed spot) because I need to put Pirates and Nationals on the team. Coming up with a lineup was also tough. It was either gonna be 3rd or 5th for him, and seeing as Beltran is now going on a tear, I put Sori 5th. Last edited by Evil Vito; 07-01-2007 at 12:39 AM. |

Yeah, that reminds me I forgot all about Kevin Youkilis. I took Cano out of the 5-man fan vote and put him in. I think they might put him in it as compensation for the fact that barely anybody bothered to write-in vote for him.

I did not think there was any way to hate Julio Lugo more, since he's basically been relegated to pinch running, but that pathetic attempt to steal 3rd on 2 outs with Youkilis at bat made me hate him that much more. I guess he figured that taking baby steps to 3rd and trying to plow the 3rd baseman over after the throw was going to work. Not sure whose idea it was to steal 3rd there, but if Lugo is so fast and in scoring position then he shouldn't have had to steal and force the last out at 3rd did he?

Chris Young and John Maine got jipped out of an All-Star slots...I mean Fuentes? A guy who just lost his job? Valverde? Seriously? Good one.
Also, apparently Bonds beat Sori out in the vote at the last second so he can start...willing to bet that was rigged. Last edited by Evil Vito; 07-01-2007 at 07:49 PM. |

Final Vote Canidates:
AL: Jeremy Bonderman, Kelvim Escobar, Roy Halladay, Pat Neshek, Hideki Okajima NL: Tom Gorzelanny, Roy Oswalt, Brandon Webb, Chris Young, Carlos Zambrano ----- Kinda ticked Maine didn't make it, but even if he did I would vote for Young because that is just a snub of epic proportions. I mean the man has like the 2nd or 3rd lowest ERA in all of baseball for fuck's sake. |

Oh c'mon guys, Fuentes and Valverde have 20+ saves this season, clearly they deserve to be all-stars no matter how many runs they give up per appearance.
I'm surprised Dan Wheeler wasn't elected with his stunningly horrible 5.87 ERA. |
