Playing yesterday on Xbox One, I experienced server connection issues. I would spawn, take a few steps, and it would freeze up. By the time I reconnected, I was watching a killcam. Repeat process. I left the game, but I'm pretty sure the server was modem pausing or something, like they used to do on Halo 2 back in the day.

Anyone playing on PC? Been torn on whether or not to get it on there. Worried my computer will have trouble running it. I ran the beta fine. There a slight bit of slowdown when things got really fucking crazy, but otherwise it ran fine on low/medium settings, which is all I need. Is there anything more intensive in the final game?

Not really (I've been on X1). There's less going on than a game of Battlefield 4. And you were spared the launch day issues which have been smoothing out.

Respawn Entertainment states they have started to move cheaters from the PC version into their own server which they described as the "Wimbledon of aimbot contests."

They also warned people to not join parties with someone on the list or else they also get moved to the cheaters server but can play normal servers by leaving the party.

Note that if you join someone's party that has cheated you will be stuck playing against only cheaters too. Once you leave their party you'll be back to your own happy world of not assholes.

Respawn states they have tweaked the “Gooser" Gen 5 challenge requirement from needing 50 pilots to be killed in mid-air to now just 5 are needed.

Figured it would look fine. Titanfall isnt breaking visual barriers. The 360 shows its age with frame rate on this one im sure...hell, even the One struggles when there's a good amount of Titans in one big brawl.

How's this title holding up a few weeks post launch? Need to get a new title for Xbone but wasn't sure if the longevity is "there".

Respawn has posted the full patch notes for the update on the game’s official website. The number of bug fixes, balance tweaks, and new features is too much to list in full, but here are a few of the biggest changes:
  • Private match beta support added, allowing you to start rounds with as few as two people and manually select game modes and maps. You won’t earn XP, challenge progress, or achievements while in a private match, however.
  • Members of your party now have their names highlighted in green so you can better tell them apart from your other allies at a distance.
  • A wallhack exploit has been fixed.
  • The Gen 5 “Gooser” challenge has been reduced from 50 to five.
  • The 40mm cannon default and extended magazine capacity has been reduced from 20 and 25 to 12 and 16, respectively.
  • The Quad Rocket now does more damage against Titan shields, and the default and extended magazine capacities have been bumped up by one apiece. The Rapid Fire mod’s capacity for the weapon has been increased by two.
  • The Amped Kraber burn card now gives the weapon a huge (eight times!) damage boost against Titans, making it an effective anti-armor option.
  • XP/score rewards have been altered for Hardpoint and Capture The Flag game modes to reward offensive actions—capturing a point or capturing a flag—and lessen the gains for defensive actions—defending a point, killing a flag carrier, and returning your team’s flag.

I may get it but vids pretty show it's a lower resolution Titanfall that runs at 30fps.

During Respawn's Titanfall development retrospective panel at PAX East, the game's development team announced the first batch of DLC for the popular Microsoft exclusive mech shooter will be available next month.

The "Expedition" pack contains three brand-new maps set after the story of the main campaign. The first map, Swampland, is just that, a swamp but with plenty of trees for wall running and archaic alien technology to use for something(?). The second is Runoff, another water themed area that's a bit more industrial, as it swaps the trees for pipes. Map number three is War Games, which takes place inside of a Danger Room-esque training simulator.

The developers also said free updates such as additional game modes (like 2v2 Last Titan Standing) and new Titan burn cards will continue to roll out over the coming months.

As for other additional features, players can expect a #hashtag-based match making system, Titan customization options, and daily challenges at some point down the line. A Hud-free option for Spectator Mode is currently under consideration.

Game was never meant to be an Xbox One exclusive but happened that way because of two reasons: Sony wanted a Vita version instead and refused to help on a possible PS4 version.

Cleaned up with the smart pistol tonight.

49 minion kills in one game.

Doesn't work on larger maps, with more open spaces though. Needed to run Carbine on those ones.

Seriously though. Smart pistol + Silencer + Cloak + Bot Finder just DESTROYS the other team's support.

Grinding the bots adds up after a bit.

I was having a harsh time since I restructured my classes. My Titan classes are fine, but I'm still trying to nail my Pilot classes. Nothing feels quite as at-home as when I finalize classes on Halo, Battlefield, or Transformers. When I find the right combo I should get with the program. Sensitivity is still too damn high for my tastes, even at their version of low.

Fignuts will never know how I saved his life from half the map away with my Titan's charge sniper thing. When that guy's shields suddenly dropped and then he was Doomed a few moments later for you to finish; ME.

PC version had CTF and Pilot Hunter removed as their own playlists with the official reason being too few players were playing those modes. Respawn Entertainment did state those 2 modes are likely to return in the future with some new tweaks to make them more interesting to play.

Yeah I also took advantage of the sale and got Titanfall and the DLC packs so I will be down for this in due time. The base game is going for $10 and the Season Pass for all the available DLC is $6.25.

I'm thinking this means a sequel will be announced at E3 or whenever but for now prepare for Titanfall.

They had the Deluxe edition for $12.50 which I thought contained the base game and all DLC?

Either way, after the bit that I have played, I would be down for a sequel. Game is great.

This game is sooooooooooooooooooooooooo good.

Love the fast pace, twitchy feel. Auto Titan = winning on Hardpoint matches. Managed to hit level 29 this weekend
