I played my buddy tonight. He was up by 20 points at Halftime and I wanted to quit... BUT, I figured out what he was doing, so I adjusted at the half and came back to win in the final minute. He had two chances to come back, but in the end the gayass Chargers defense held on to beat the Vikings.

OMG Burleson caught almost 300 yards against me.

FUUUUUUCK. THE RB MINI CAMP DRILL ON ALL-MADDEN IS FUCKING IMPOSSIBLE.

I have golds on every other drill, and I'm trying to get a gold on this one but its way too hard. No matter how good Jamal Lewis might be, he is nothing compared to the Ravens' defense (which I think consists of Lewis/Suggs/Reed/and some white guy who is really fast)

Someone attempt it and see if you can do it. Then, tell me what the secret is.

Well after my first game, Giants vs. Browns in which I was the Giants I sucked with the QB Vision thing. I used Eli, Jesse Palmer and Tim Hasselbeck and none of their cones is larger than a sugar cone from Friendly's. I found it difficult to "look off" defenders or when I'm throwing outside the cone to get any accuracy at all. I can understand the ball being a little off target but these passes aren't even in the same area code.

God damn, I just played again. Giants vs. Panthers, Giants again as it is the 2nd preseason game. I got picked 4 times in the first quarter. Every time I got picked I would look at a WR, switch my vision to where I was going and throw it a split second later. The defense was insanely jumping the routes in that split second. Definitely a huge learning curve this year.

Wierd. I played the first regular season game and went 20/34, 300+ yards with 3 TD's and 0 INT's. Still using the Giants and Eli Manning but it was against the Cardinals, so who knows.

Punt returns are impossible. All of my blockers just either completely miss their blocks or run right in front of me and turn their backs on the defenders.

Well there's usually two guys, and your guy turns right around when the other dude gets there which should give you time. If there are two guys though, you have to fair catch. If only one dude gets through, then you can "risk it," I guess. But remember 2005? You needed to bring a dude back into coverage to help you block, and switch out of him at the last second. I haven't tried that yet, but I wonder if it workssssss.

yeah word Bean, thats what I do. Desn't work as well, but the best thing you can do on a punt return is manipulate your blockers so the defense in a way runs into them :=/

I remember my main complaint now: they got rid of the blocking thing where you'd move R3 and you could control your fullback (or whoever was blocking nearest you).

I never realized how much I relied on that.

I keep getting better with every game.

The problem is... singleback still doesn't work the way it's supposed to. Your line doesn't hold blocks long enough for you to pick a hole. Either the LB gets you, or you evade the LB and the end gets you.

I was just tearing up my new season, then I got beat down by the Jets. I was up 21-0 at the end of the first and down 38-21 at half. Final score of 55-21. Eight thrown INTs, 4 returned 70+ yards for scores.

WHAT IN THE FUCK.

I played online again. Was killing this guy by 10. He tries the same play over and over. Finally, after a 3rd down, I get "disconnected". And now, it won't let me sign back in. I think I might have gotten mod-chipped or something, but with the way this guy was playing, he couldn't be smart enough to even own one.

Picked it up yesterday and I like what I've seen so far. I am going to kill EA for taking out online AGAIN, I guess they think the europeans wont want to play it online due to be an american sport or some stupid shit like that

I've seen a couple of reviews where they slate the QB Vision Control, but I quite like it. It's not that hard to get used to and it makes sense.

Just started out in the superstar mode. Got 80% on the IQ test and got drafted to the Broncos. So far I'm 2-0-0.
