Oh, no, don't get me wrong, I love that about Christian/Jay Reso. It's just that, he didn't really have much planned for him, and I was under the impression they'd explain away his absence and take him off the voting polls. Seeing as how the PPV is tonight, I guess it wouldn't make much sense.

I would assume that they didn't play it up last night so people wouldn't vote him in. Of course, the only way to vote is to go to WWE.com, and people are going to see that huge picture of Christian with the word "Quit" near it..

His quitting is not a work or storyline, however knowing WWE’s recent booking style, it could be turned into a storyline later on. As previously noted, he did not sign the new contract that WWE offered him. Christian felt that WWE should have offered him more money for what he’s been putting up with, and has told friends he will give WWE a chance write him out of storylines.

Christian has also told friends that he had a big run and saved his money, and is in a position where he can afford to quit the company. It’s somewhat like the what happened with Chris Jericho, who has almost completely separated himself from pro wrestling.

Something interesting to note is that Christian lives in Florida, which is where TNA tapes all their shows and runs their PPVs. This would allow for a situation similar to Scott Hall or Kevin Nash’s, where he can take the quick drive up to Orlando once or twice a week to wrestle, then go back home to be with his family.
When I caught up to him on the street, he said it was the name change to "Winter Solstice" that really did it.

Good for Jay. I would need to change pants...hell, I'd probably need an entire wardrobe change...if Christian shows up at the next TNA tapings. The man deserves so much better than what he had in WWE, and Vince McMahon is a fool for not capitalizing on what could have been his next big star.

Sorry, but I'm going to be the oddball in this group. Lets say... perhaps WWE wants to use the internet fans, much like they did with the Matt Hardy thing. Thus, Christian comes back in a few weeks, everybody likes him, and he could fully live out an 'Us-vs.-Them' scenario, much like they had Hardy on. But otherwise... God this sucks bawls.

Rumor has it.....

Someone a Higher UP in TNA was in COntact with Several WWE Stars in the past few weeks. Christian being one of them. Only one of those said superstars was very recipiant to what was said to them. Will see soon whose going where.

Just prior to leaving the arena Tuesday night, former Intercontinental Champion Christian offered the following quote to WWE.com concerning his decision to quit World Wrestling Entertainment.

You make this sound like a major big deal and he's heading to TNA, he may have just quit to take some time off, he deserves it, quitting when you know WWE will want you back means, you can take time off as long as you want, when you return you'll probably get a push and he doesn't have to break his back every night. He just didn't re-sign his contract, much like Jericho, he wants time off wrestling.

Christian's been ym all tiem fave since his debut. I'll follow him wherever the hell he goes... most likely to TNA. Him joining TNA could really help the company. But there is hope that the WWE will smarten up, give him a sweet contract, and a permanent main event push. I don't know why they didn't keep him in the main event. He was probably the most over wrestler since Austin and the Rock. I'm sad, but I know he'll do fine.
