I remember when Albert debuted, as Darren Drozdoff's tattoo artist/piercing-guy. I'm not sure if I should be amused or not that I didn't know what a Prince Albert was at the time. Am, though. They were a shitty tag team, sometimes he'd try to pierce somebody after Droz beat them, and I'm told they had some drugged-up loony named Key as a third partner on a few episodes of Shotgun Saturday Night. I couldn't confirm, as it was never on any channel I got.

I remember DDP about to join the Wolfpack (which woulda been huge for me as I was a mark and they were my favorites outside of Goldberg) and then fucking Hogan/Rodman attack him from behind with a chair before he can put the shirt on
![]() Also, for some reason I seem to be able to remember the exact cards and results to most the of the early PPVs I'd seen (Fall Brawl '98 up until Suberbrawl or Uncensored '99 I'd say)... |

I remember Mr. Perfect "screwing" Wildman Marc Mero out of the Intercontinental title by aligning with HHH, which I believe is the first recorded instance of a HHH-induced glass ceiling.
I remember the free-for-all at Wrestlemania 13. Flash Funk vs. Billy Gunn. Suppose it doesn't count though, as it was the first match I saw live. |

I remember Hardbody Harrison getting a WCW Television Title shot against the Disco Inferno on WCW Saturday Night in the spring of 1998. I remember it because I was both a Hardbody Harrison mark and a Disco Inferno mark. H2 almost won, but Disco hit the Chartbuster out of nowhere and got the pin. I was 9 and by god that was my Rock vs. Hogan.

I remember Ice Train and Scott "Flash" Norton as the tag team "Fire & Ice." Young mark I was, I always wanted to see them get a run with the belts.
I remember Glacier, several years after his debut and a few months away from being some vague coach character on Worldwide, trying to sell his armor to Sonny Onoo. Last edited by Xerzes; 03-06-2006 at 08:44 PM. |

I remember when Jericho have a suprisingly ok feud with Chyna, and breaking her fingers with a hammer... and I remember thinking that was disturbing.
I remember the Hog Pin match with Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Henry O. Godwin I remember the first match I saw from ECW... FBI v.s The Hardcore Chairswining freaks, and Smothers did a sick blade job and my grandma was freaked out by it. I remember one of the coolest "fan made" gimmicks of all time, Golbergs body count until his first loss to Kevin Nash at Starcade and I marked out like crazy... I remember being SHOCKED when Eric Bischoff said "WWF" in an interview to Hall and Nash at The Great American Bash 96, and then a huge OMG! moment when Nash powerbombed Bischoff through the set. I remember the awesome potential of Chuck Palumbo when he was on Saturday Night. Hahaha I remember in the main event of Starcade 97 Bret Hart came in and decked Nick Patrick, and Patrick over sold the punch to no end, me and my brother laughed about that for years. Kevin Green v.s The Giant I remember WWF totally blowing Paul Wight's momentum by not puting him against Austin at WM 15... instead on Raw. I remember an AMAZING match that kicked off Nitro (I belive in the summer of 96) with Dean Malenko v.s Rey Jr... where Malenko hit Rey with a back breaker off the very top rope!!! totally holy shit moment. Hahha I remember Nash tossing Rey Jr. into a trailor like a dart ... |

the time that Val Venis "Tattooed" VV (Though it looked more like a W) on Albert's hairy ass. (I have nightmares to this day about that.)
Dean Malenko vs. Mr. JL ending in a Malenko Leglock after Deano-Machino executed a fireman's carry into a Gutbuster off the top rope. A time when everyone thought this beanpole called the Lightning Kid was the next big thing. P.N. News Jacqueline vs. Disco Inferno for the TV Title. Steve Williams and Terry Gordy _DOMINATING_ the Steiner Brothers. JR's call after Barry Windham's first Implant DDT: "He Spiked him! He just Spiked Johnny B. Badd!" |

Los Conquistadors!
GTV Pierre I always remember some guy in white punching Godfather in the stomach while he and I think Bossman fought through the crowd. I guess that was Key. I actually thought that it was a fan as they didn't give him a close up, you didn't even see his face and security dragged him away and he wasn't seen for the rest of RAW. Austin/Benoit for the WWF title on SmackDOWN! in 2001. Eddie dating Chyna (he MUST have been stoned) Right To Censor Blackman vs Richards (as Blackman) then Blue Meanie (dressed as Dude Love) coming to ringside. I got such a kick out of hearing the music as I'd only ever heard it on WWF War Zone on PlayStation. |

I remember Mr Hughs as Chris Jericho's bodyguard.
I remember he went by the name Gotch Tracey before his real name was revealed. I remember the WWF I remember Mr Ass and Chyna spray-painting DX on Road Dogg and X-Pac. I remember they botched it and got the majority of the letters on the ring mat as opposed to the wrestlers like the nWo did (which I assume they were supposed to be ripping off). |

Two Chris Benoit moments:
- him saying on Heat (after a hilarious Chris Jericho promo in which Benoit was called the "Canadian Crappler") that if you put two letter Fs at the end of the name of the Jerichoholics' hero, that you'd have his exact opinion of him (for those not following, Benoit implied the name "Jerichoff"). - after a promo from John Cena on SmackDown, he said that he was tired of Paul Heyman's crap...and tonight, he'd make a few bitches (in this case, the FBI) tap. "Word, Life". (Thankfully, I finally have this as a video file. This was CLASSIC) Also: The very FIRST time The Rock made fun of Triple H in a vocal impression, not that time before Armageddon 2000. This was 100x funnier, since HHH was very much a hated heel, and The Rock still had a bit of his "heelishness" intact. For some reason they never included this goldmine of a promo in Rock video packages -- it was one of his funniest moments ever. Anyway, it went like this: "Tonight-UHHHH.... I am the Game-uhhhhh.... and I'm going to be talking about absolutely NOTHING-uhhh...." meanwhile King is spazzing. "Well, The Rock says... uhhhh-UHHHH....YOU ABSOLUTELY SUCK!" More spazzing from King. "Triple H, you come out here and run your mouth about how it's gonna be another DX Night. Well, Triple H...it's not gonna be another DX Night, because frankly, the THOUGHT of another DX Night makes The Rock want to put his finger down his throat and spew The People's Vomit all over your candy asses!" ^^^^ GOLD. If anyone has this in video file form... UP IT. |

No, this happened in early 1996. The high heel shoe incident occurred in late 1995 when Elizabeth first turned on Randy Savage.

I remember Hunter hearst-Helmsley's first televised WWF match, on an episode of WWF Superstars. I remember his finisher, which I never saw or heard mentioned again. "Pedigree Pandemonium." It was a a Diamond Cutter.

They broke up because they sucked as a team, and Lex Luger was killing all of Davey Boy's credibility... I guess that's why they turned him heel. He had no face heat left. Cheers, Lex!

I remember Henry O. Godwin before they introduced Phinneas I. Godwin.
I also remember what a big deal the commentators made about the initials. I remember "heel" JR and "his" fake Diesel and Razor Ramon. I remember JR before the first of his two strokes. I remember David Flair. (But wish I didn't.) Wasn't Damien Demento the guy who first brought Dafnee to WCW? I remember going to a live ECW event and thinking that Dawn Marie was extremely overrated after seeing her in person. I remember The Kat's removing her bubblewrap top and flashing the audience at a PPV. I remember Big Bossman's attempt at becoming a full-fledged face with the "Guardian Angel" gimmick. |

Damien DeMento was a bizarre looking heel in the WWF in late '92/early '93. He was quite unique and could have been a player but he disappeared soon after. He also wrestled as Mondo Van Kleef(?) or something along those lines. His real name was Paul Theis(??) I'm too lazy to look this stuff up so correct me if I'm wrong.

Oh yeah, that's right. Then who was that goofball that had Dafnee as his valet in WCW before she went over to David Flair?
And now that I'm thinking about it, wasn't there another jobber in WCW right around the same time with the same name? EDIT: Just remembered... Devon Storm. I think there was a red headed Devon Storm and this guy with dark hair became "Dangerous" Devon Storm. Last edited by parkmania; 03-22-2006 at 08:29 PM. |
