Nah I know, was making of myself earlier about that actually.

Finished Halo 1 couple of days ago. I've just started Halo 2 actually, should finish it in about a few days then I'll go buy Halo 3.

On a scale of 1-10 I think I'm a solid 4 when it comes to Halo. I'm not too good at all for some reason. I think it's because everyone else has has it forever and I was a PS2 guy and it just takes some time getting used to. Like I have to get used to the fact that 4 consecutive 3 shot blasts to the back of the head won't kill someone. Or two shots with a rocket launcher won't kill someone. And the sword has unlimited reach and what have you.

Like when I was in UofA these two dudes would be playing Halo 2 NONSTOP. So, like and idiot, I would join them thinking I would be able to compete but the just crush me. They memorized the spawn points, thats how big of nerds they were. I just got frustrated and left.

So I'm going to hone in my skills on Halo 2 for about a week then I'll start with 3. And then you guys can kick my ass.

If you can actually aim, the BR -will- kill someone in 4 shots from the back. Once again, if you can actually aim, a single rocket will kill someone. The sword does not have unlimited range. Honestly don't know what you're even complaining about because none of the problems you just stated even exist in the game. If you don't know how to play, then yeah.. you'll have some problems and it will -seem- like these things are happening, when in reality you're just not actually aiming correctly.

I love it... Only done the first mission on heroic though so...
Atm I am loving it like hell... I prefer this to cod4 though and you know I gavet hat game a fair chance

Edit game (press X), go to the general settings and turn it off. The options are crazy. I made my prized variant Jeep Wars on Halo 3 and it is the ultimate version. I just (like 30min ago) put the fine touches on its Forge map and Game Settings for balance and all that. Can't wait to finally play Jeep Wars how I always imagined it. Hell, I'm gonna post a 'how to' pic-message here and on Bungie if I could.

I spent 7 hours on the game fixing up one game variant; I didn't play any matches tonight. That's "Four hours in SvR CA-Modes" crazy, and I love it. $60 well spent.

What's crackin, lil bitches? Kalyx here, ready to tell you all about Jeep Wars; a game variant me and my buds enjoyed in Halo CE and Halo 2. The deep game editing options in Halo 3 makes this the greatest Jeep Wars yet!

Isn't Valhalla beautiful? This is the site of Jeep Wars! Carnage will ensure very shortly, but first some info from the purple dude.

Jeep Wars is a Team-Slayer gametype, dedicated to and built around the Warthog.

The first rule of JW is: You don't talk about Jeep Wars. The second rule of JW is...

YOU DON'T TALK ABOUT JEEP WARS! Sorry, had to do it.

The real first rule of Jeep Wars is the only real rule. An Honor Rule that you DO NOT ATTACK ANYBODY OR ANYTHING WHILE ON FOOT. This may feel restrictive at first, but this is the essence of Jeep Wars and why its so fun.

You may only attack on the Warthog's turrent...

Or in the passenger seat, the only spot where you get to use your default weapons! See that hammer? I wonder when I'll get to do a drive-by melee kill...

At all times there are four Warthogs on the map. A true Jeep Wars game features four teams of three, each team with a Warthog. Choose your driver carefully, they're the key to victory!

Thanks to Halo 3's Forge, your team will start with a fresh 'Hog right in front of them! Notice the Tripmine at the side? "But I thought we couldn't fight on foot..." Patience, Jeep Warrior!

There's also Two-Way Teleporters I called 'GTA Ports' for this game. They'll lead you to another team's spawn area. But remember, you can't battle on foot! This network of GTA Ports gives a respawned player a chance to steal another team's 'Hog if they're not there to claim it! A team with two Jeeps has double chances to win, don't they!?

Another new feature in Jeep Wars are One-Way Teleporters called 'Great Escape Ports'.

When a fully loaded Warthog is bullying you, run for the hills literally! A Great Escape Port waits at the edge of a cliff... be brave!

If you make it, you'll be zipped to a safe spot nearby. "Nearby? Why not far away?!" That's the best part...

...Watching your own Great Escape as your bullies hopefully have a harsh landing! Remember to find cover before they recover, they won't be too happy!

Behold! That Tripmine Equipment you seen? That's your only defense against the Warthogs when on foot. Timed right and you could score a Triple Kill! Remember: Jeep Wars' appeal is based on honoring that 'On-Foot' regulation. Trust me!

But I'm just fucking with you. 4 shots in the head from behind with a BR will kill someone, but since it is from behind you have to be perfect with your shots. Even some of the better players can have troubles with it because you're bound to miss the head with one or two shots. I've watched people do it over and over though, so I know for a fact that it's not impossible. It takes better aiming than from the front obviously, and most people aren't good enough to get the shots perfect. Hell, I know I'm not. I don't get perfect 4 shot kills like that but once in a while. But if you're behind them, it's best just to place a grenade perfectly and follow it up with a shot or two. Easier kill that way, and you don't have to worry about them turning to shoot you either.

Also, for an easier time, do 3 body shots and pan up to poke them in the head. Same concept, easier to do if you can't shoot them in the head that well.

I guess I'm only bad when the overshield is on. Because I played my first game with it off and won 25-12. I just have to get used to being persistent as fuck with that shield on.

Are you talking about the regular shield that everyone has? Because if it's off, the only thing that matters are headshots. One shot to the head on an unshielded person will kill them. Takes 3 shots to the body to get the shield down, which is why the 4th will kill them if it's in the head. If not, it can take several body shots to kill them.

Also, try what kalyx said. I play on 2 sensitivity, and just from changing to that I instantly got better. Used to play on 4 or 5 ish.

I got some great files in my File Share right now. I had some decent matches in Big Team Battle with some buds and I got some material off them, including the damndest accidental betrayal you'll ever see for a while (I recorded that one twice).

It was a pretty amazing shot. We reviewed it over and over. It was a double team VIP game, and I was the VIP at the time. I came running around the right side on blue side narrows, they were on left side of the other one. Just as I came around, I barely dodged a sniper shot (it was literally inches from my head after watching the video), and about two seconds later DS crouched and aimed a shot at the guy's head. The bullet was already travelling across the gap just as the invis guy ran around the corner behind their sniper. BAM. A perfectly lined up double kill. It was amazing.

Then I got the final score of the game with their non-VIP running at us under the bride around a corner. I stickied him, backed up and watched him die, then ran forward and stickied the VIP dead center not even a second after the first died. It was great. Love this game.

There is a hidden skull which is very hard to get... You have to jump through rings and compose the halo theme with the noises the rings make when you jump through

I finally had a real Jeep Wars match and it was the most fun I had in Halo 3 so far. I'm gonna do another gallery with highlights, but with so many kick-ass moments I'm gonna upload the entire game in my File Share later today. We had so much fun we made a 'Mongoose' Wars game that might be better than Jeep Wars! That game will also be in my File Share if you don't believe in the 'Wars series yet. It's fun stuff.

Looks like Bungie bought it's name back from Microsoft and they are no longer working together. So it's possible that you might see Halo 3 on the PS3 and there is a Halo game in works on the DS.

From what I've read, even if Bungie and Microsoft do separate (the official announcement is coming soon), Microsoft will supposedly keep all rights to Halo, and will also have first refusal rights to any Bungie game, meaning they get first choice as to whether or not they will publish a title.

I've been playing on Heroic by myself when my bro isn't around. Gotta hone my skills. That first room past the ops-center, on your way to rescue the marines in the barracks is a bitch. There is at least 8-10 brutes with carbines, brute launchers etc. One guy with a hammer. Fucking it was a bitch.
