yeah computer is retarded in superstar mode. cant manage the clock at all. at the 30 yard line with 10 seconds left down by 6 and no time outs, what they do, no they dont snap the ball even though they had 10 seconds to do it, they let the clock run out and lose the game.

it is also annoying to see 20 dump off passes to the fullback which go for a 3 yard loss every game.

You can call timeouts as any player on the field. If your defense, go to the options tab when you pause, and in one of the settings you can change the offense from Supersim to Your control, so you play a normal game whenever your superstar is off the field.

oh forreal, that should stop the problem of being on the 32nd ranked defense team 3 years in a row. but still i am saying if you have no time outs they still let the freaking clock run down like they are retarded.

I have no idea. I can't even find where friend requests are in Xbox Live cause I looked around and didn't see anything just now. My brother plays too and my shit signs on automatically each time the 360 is on so maybe he checked it I don't know.

Odd thing happened. I decided to let Strahan and Toomer walk after 2007. Still great players, but they were old and I wanted to get my team younger. I drafted a wideout and signed Terrell Suggs, so their absense won't be much a problem.

But to my surprise, nobody signed them up during the 30-day period (despite Stra being the top free agent) and then after the draft ended they were gone from the FA pool entirely. I'm certain they didn't retire or anything because Stra would be in the HOF.

There is something fucked up with the FA pool. I think there was/is a patch that is allegedly supposed to fix it but I don't know, you would have to look into it.

Well its a flaw in the game. I don't even have my 360 right now to play, and to be honest never got that far in a franchise to notice this stuff. I read about it online at another forum. If I actually had the time to invest in a lengthy franchise, it certainly would bother me. I've read the franchise pool dries up, so that for some positions there won't be any free agents. What the hell are you supposed to do if you need a FB and there aren't any? It forces you to trade, and in turn you have to give up something unnecessarily.

Shit, I hadn't thought about that.

And IIRC, in my game there aren't any free agent FBs already after just one off-season. And I think I read that if a CPU team has an injury happen to them leaving them below the minimum but no one to pick up, the game can't continue. So you'd have to basically turn injuries off and that would blow.

Guess I just have to hope I don't get screwed. It's a shame you can't edit positions anymore or you could just sign some HB and convert him to fill the roster void

Lost my first Madden game against the CPU in ages, 17-14 against the Ravens.

Kinda got screwed in retrospect...last play of the first half, I try a hail mary bomb to my rookie wideout, and he caught to to my surprise. Got tackled 2 yards shy of the end zone but when he was tackled he was tackled into the endzone. It didn't give me credit for the TD

Brandon Jacobs is absolutely disgusting tho. 10 games into the season and he's got 19 TDs.

Yeah so my Franchise Mode is fucked.

I'm in Pre-Season Week 1 in year 3...and the game freezes whenever I try simming anything...be it one of my games or a CPU game.

What a waste of time.
