Well that much I get, but I assume the logic is lesser characters that are better balanced and detailed over a million characters with paper thin move sets (which MKA had in mass).

I am aware of this. I just figure if you're going to do something like this where the characters are the driving force (as opposed to the actual gameplay), it's go big or go home.
