Swagger is ok, but he's no champ right now. The ECW title should be vacant, with a good tournament, using some Raw and SD! guys that aren't doing much of anything right now. This way we can have an ECW title scene with some seldom used talent, and thus a more entertaining angle than what we currently have now.

Shut up destor. Anyhow, I just saw yet another Swagger match, this time against Finlay. I like Finlay, and it seemed like Finlay was doing everything in the match and Swagger was mostly play the part of a broom. I'm not saying Swagger sucks, I'm just saying that Finlay was out their wrestling and Swagger was being told what to do.

It's odd. They clearly have high hopes for Swagger, but they're almost using the championship to turn him into a good worker. The issue with that is your champion should always be one of your ring generals. They shouldn't have to be lead through their matches as that severely limits your possibilities in terms of possible feuds.

Swagger might one day be good, but he shouldn't be training to wrestle and have the 3rd highest belt in WWE. I mean I know we watched Batista get trained, but he wasn't the champion while training.

I barely watch ECW because it airs Friday night at midnight, but what I've seen from Swagger has been "meh". He has the look and personality of an under midcarder. He could be the kind of guy who will grow into their role after a few years. I'm not doubting his ability at all. WWE wouldn't have given him the ECW title if they didn't see something special in him. I just don't think he's ready to be any kind of champ so soon. Maybe a tag champ if he had a real partner. But this is also pretending that the titles actually mean something these days.

His music does not suit him at all. It's way too cool. They could have given that to The Brian Kendrick, Morrison, Miz, or someone else.

They needed to get the title off Hardy. I am 100% sure that is why Swagger has the title right now rather than 6 months from now.

It's not really been hot shotted though. He had a good defense against Hardy at RR. Hardy had to drop it to someone, and Swagger was probably the only viable candidate only ECW at the time, but I don't think it's worked out badly.

Why, Henry and Hardy have history, Mark could have gotten another win over Hardy. Mark and Tommy Dreamer could have fueded till maina, Tommy could have won the ECW as a last hurrah, and then lost it to Swagger after Swagger had gotten his name out a little more and had a series with Finaly to get him less green.

All those choices are terrible except for Morrison and he is preoccupied.

Also, I think it fit better with the storyline for Hardy to not even be able to beat a rookie at this point in time while his brother is far surpassing him in the main event. It helped build the frustration imo.

1) We just saw Hardy/Henry. If anything looks like "hotshotting it would be a putting the title back on Henry.

2) They seem to be saving Dreamer for the summer. For that to be viable they need to build him up too. Yeah, he's Tommy Dreamer, but on ECW, he hasn't exactly been HHH. That's why he's in an angle where he says he's going to retire if he can't win the title. For him to up and beat Henry at Mania would be pretty iffy right now.

3) Any of the other guys in ECW, not viable. Miz and Morrison are solidly in their team. Finlay and Dreamer don't make sense because they would be booking face v. face, which is a rarity in the WWE.
