Enjoyed every minute I played the trial, up until I couldn't continue on. They really should've made the trial level cap 20 or something. Didn't even get to finish the Sith Inquisitors prologue.

Edit: Nevermind, guess I did finish it, just couldn't advance any farther.

Yes. WoW's "free trial to lvl20" has almost the exact same restrictions this one had.

Started back up on this yesterday. My server is a ghost town and it isn't on the list for character transfer yet.

Sucks because I got 2 flashpoints and 2 heroics I gotta do. And there's nobody to do them with.

I think the problem is two fold; people's expectations vs something that didn't aim to stand out quite as much as it probably should. In the end it is an MMO in the Star Wars universe, something I know many people enjoy. And I'm sure it's great as a Star Wars product, but perhaps people need something more from an MMO to sustain them? This is a very particular genre of gaming, and we're in a particular era of gaming where name brands are losing their power and people are much more critical of what they are playing (one of the few positives of a more informed, cynical player base).

Now that people are hip to the fact that they are, essentially, playing the same games from ten years ago - games that does not have the longevity of classics from 20 years ago, things like 'Star Wars MMO' don't hold like it would have before hand. On all technical levels Old Republic is better than Galaxies, but Galaxies launched in a different time.

People ain't with that old shit anymore.

Played last night and unlocked my legacy. Usually during that time it's busy. Now, I go to the Republic Fleet and I got the whole place to myself.

Gonna do another solo mission tonight, then try to make the transfer.

I've been impressed with out the game has improved since the server thing. My game is way less laggy and I've actually been able to play without the computer freaking out and overheating.

I'm on a server called Droogo's Pleasure Barge or something like that. I'm currently level 38 Jedi Knight named JonLucPicard. I'm on Hoth right now it's pretty cool to finally be in another planet from one of the movies.

Yeah. I ended up on Corellian Run this afternoon after my move. Got right into a flashpoint mission. Had to change my name, only thing that sucks about it.

Yeah, but now it takes away the "looking for a group" tag. It was easier to find people on the planet that wanted to find a group that way.

Wish they would add an option to search for what specific mission people want to double team. Sometimes it's hard to find people who want to double team a specific quest.

Trailer released for HK-51 is awesome. Might have to drag my feet a little bit since you pick him up on Belsaris.

got THE ITCH again after Star Wars hype etc etc. I reinstalled and picked up my Imperial Agent (Operative) again. There's been like 3 expansions since I've last played, and even though my account now is just a Preferred account I might resub for a month to unlock all the new content of the expansions. Don't see myself feasibly playing it regularly for a while but would be cool to finish some of the stories and crap. I feel the game is still really well done, with the main criticisms I'm reading being that the "MMO-type endgame" stuff is lacking, which I'm perfectly okay with never touching again thanks to burnout from WoW.

Playing the f2p style of the game though they really try to hammer the "SUBSCRIBE NOW" thing at every turn, which is annoying but I guess understandable

Highly doubt my server is still around.

I never really finished the story with my SmugScoundrel. Although my rig needs a bit of an upgrade in the near future since it has a tendency to crash.

Did the flashpoints. But never got into the warzones or took on the planet bosses. I was scratching my head a bit when the game was barely on the market a week and players were at max level and gear. Kinda bothered me players were going non-stop with the game.

Loved this game when it came out. Could never find people to do the dungeons though.

I think you can do a lot of the flashpoints solo now... interested to do that. Game is still really fun. Hope I get a few weeks of enjoyment out of it

I downloaded the patch a few days ago but didn't turn it on yet. Got Battlefront on sale with Gold to get my star wars on.
