He was real bad the last few seasons but he was very good this year. Plus he's still got a ridiculously strong leg. Oakland was kind of in a bind with this signing though. They weren't going to get anybody better in free agency so what can you do?

I could see the Chargers change their offense style to be more passing with the way Rivers has been improving as a quarterback in stats and passing. Wouldn't be as drastic as New England or Indianapolis where its almost 75% passing most of the time for yards but probably favor the pass over the rush in key plays.

It would give Sproles at least a year to develop into a stronger RB or develop a power RB similar to the earlier years of L.T.

I always felt the Chargers would take a RB in the draft since it was inevitable LT was getting released. The RB I can see them going with is Johnathan Dwyer, RB out of Georgia Tech. Bruiser type of back, lots of power, breaks a lot of tackles. I think a tandem of him and Sproles would match up very well.

I'll bet any of you a Kentucky fried dinner that Jimmy Clausen turns out to be a dud. Being a smirky white quarterback from Notre Dame seems to be the only thing you need to get NFL hype.

That actually would be a good signing since he fits what New England does with Keith Faulk in having him be a receiver in short down pass plays and as a 3rd down rusher for short yards.
