A-Rod strained his hamstring or something along those lines. If he goes on the DL for any amount of time, any chance of making a run is gone for the Yankees. He is pretty much the whole offense this year.

Here is a serious question.

What do the Yanks do for 1B in the long run?

Slide Damon to first, Giambi to DH? That could work this year, but what about the future?

I say find a way to send a package for Abreu to the reds for Dunn.

Dunn will hit a million homers in NY. he can play RF/1B and DH for the next 5 years. Once he is here, Find a way to Drop Giambino.

200 Million and only 1 Player worth his money offensively.

That has to change. Outside of Melky, jeter, A Rod, Wang, Hughes, I would put everyone on the block and start over. Of course I might have played too many video games.

Well we're thinking about Mark T. From Texas for first if I'm not mistaken. I don't know if I want Dunn though. Doesn't he go on the DL a lot? The Yankees have to many DL problems as it is.

And MatthewAllenHanso If you put Posada and Cano and Andy Pettitte on that list of not to be traded even though I do love Johnny Damon I would put the rest of the team on the trade block. But let's face it that's never gonna happen.

Let's hope A-Rod feels better today it's happened to Jeter where he got taken out of the game for leg injury and then was back the next day. Let's all pray this is what happened to A-Rod.

Yeah. The Yankees also have a huge advantage in that Texas pays a lot of A-Rods contract. The Yankees only pay about 16 million of his 27 million salary. If he opts out though then all that goes out the window. Cashman needs to try and just extend his contract before he opts out. He could definitely offer as much as anyone else, and it would actually cost a lot less.

I dunno. I really don't understand Joe Torre sometimes. Leading 8-0 in the 8th and we bring in Scott Proctor? Joe has some fascination in trying to get Proctor in to every single game no matter the score or situation.

Sorry. Kinda hooked on that line from that upcoming "The Bronx is Burning" series. But I know where you're coming from. About a good 60-70% of the time the go-to guy in the pen is Proctor. I much rather prefer Bruney or Villone to have some more time out there and work out their kinks. I don't know. Maybe that bonfire Proctor had a few nights ago sparked something in Torre.

Yeah, when he's not pitching 6 times a week Proctor is one of our better relievers, so it would make sense for Torre to leave him out of the game every now and then.

Me too! Edwar Martinez was pretty good today. It's not often a rookie gets 3 straight outs without allowing a hit or walk. Will he be the next closer? I have no idea. Adam Dunn isn't injury prone. He's played at least 160 games the past 3 years. But he can't play first. He is terrible at it. If Dunn goes to the AL he'll be a DH for the rest of his life.

This year Milwaukee's infield is awesome, Texas' howeevr have a longer track record. Milwaukee's may become the best, but they're playing over their heads in the minds of a lot of people.

With about 90 minutes left in the final vote, Okajima is leading with the AL, followed by Bonderman. He's basically a lock with the Red Sox Nation and Japan voting for him.

Chris Young is still leading for the NL, closely followed by Zambrano. Hopefully logic will prevail and Young will win as he deserves. C'mon now, Young and Lee in the same dugout would be hilarious.
