Got to say I'm pretty pleased with my playing right now.

Put on MvC3, didn't bother having a warm up run through of arcade mode and just went straight online. Beat a Master Lords team of Storm, Wolverine and Sentinal (complete with level 3 X-Factor Sentinal) without losing a single team member of my own.
Hope it's a sign of things to come.

Good for you, a few hours ago I lost an entire set of 16 games to the best Trish I ever seen (streams, tournies, wherever).

Other than that, my X23/Dante/Wesker team is becoming my main team. X23's dive kick is a tad safer than it probably should be. In fact many of the dive attacks are great.

Niitsuma tweeted that he couldn't make E3 because he was busy on something. This is likely the next version of MvC3, or perhaps a new Versus game altogether. Either way I expect something during one of the Cons later this summer.

I was thinking. When you beat Galactus he says "How dare you. Now I must squash you, like the bug that you are."
Shouldn't he say that before we defeat him? Maybe when you get his health to 50%?

Unless there is some kind of DLC mode/upgrade or new MvC3 where he comes back tougher after we defeat him.
I noticed there are some lines of dialogue in the gallery I can't recall hearing him say and I've played through arcade quite a bit. Maybe they will have his fight be a two round battle eventually.

Maybe beat Galactus, he says his little line, in comes Apocalypse.

I'm no comic book reader so I'm not sure if he's more powerful than Galactus. I don't think he is if Galactus is supposed to be some all powerful destroyer of worlds.

Galactus is stronger, there's few on his level in terms of power. I suggest they make an AI version of Dark Phoenix with normal HP as the new final boss.

Sometimes I feel like calling for a group session but I can't get past the whole no-spectator thing. That is a killjoy that ripples through time. Still, with Party Chat, perhaps we can coordinate con-current rooms like we did when SSF4 didn't let us connect. Sloppy, but that's what we can do.

Or we can all play Halo, which is seriously fun.

Had to go check out the video now that you mentioned it. You know what's coming.

Ok, 3 seconds into the video and he's picked the most over used characters on the roster, as usual.

Ok, after one fight, he's the exact same as every other Wolverine I've ever seen online. Berserk Barrage, Berserk Berrage, Akuma Assist, Berserk Barrage, Hyper Combo, repeat.

I watched the second fight and that was pretty standard stuff as well.

I'm still waiting for the video that shows he's better than anyone else you see playing the game.

I wouldn't say he was better than everyone in terms of skill. I'd say he was "jammy" more than anything else.

At the last second, he gets lucky and wins. He's more hype than anything, which works to his advantage because he's hyped up as this superplayer so people have more pressure on them when they fight them and even more if they are about to win against him.

I wish people would stop sucking him off like he was some kind of fighting game messiah. (Not aimed at you, Kalyx).

I'm totally aware I need to stop bitching about it but I stopped myself last time he was brought up when he announced he would be playing MvC3 so I'm going to go with this one.

Something I did notice he did with Dante that others didn't was the weird purple projectile that breaks into smaller projectiles. No one really uses that so that was something you don't see every day.

I only use it to 'welcome' characters in after I KO one. trying to add it to a combo was not working for me.

Anyway I'm working on a keepaway Dante these days. Like very few characters, his projectiles (from the pistols) start combos. His prop-shredder (twirling the sword in his hand) also makes for a nice cover when people jump over the forward pistol shots.

This guy was doing this stupid fucking combo that including a few mighty swings that put you in heavy enough stun to continue for big damage. And he used Sent's drone assist along with Tasky's weird normal attacks to get me caught up in it. Our session was like 6-30. I tried everything short of picking new teams to deal with him. When I do beat Tasky here comes Sent with his retard priorities.

On the flip side I went 12 wins straight in Ranked, so this morning wasn't a total bummer (believe I beat your rank streak record actually).

Finally found a use for Dante's Twister. You'd think a tornado of fire would have more uses. It OTGs and leaves opponents in aerial status, which leaves them open for an unexpected air throw. Near a wall I can just jump for the throw, in the middle of the stage I'll need to instant air-dash to get in range. After the air throw all Dante can do is bullet rain to follow up, but with a good assist it can turn into something hurtful (using Jill's Arrow Kick now. After wallbounce perhaps hyper?)

Twister's style cancel, Tempest, is fucking useless. It tosses the opponent into a soft knockdown. I'll experiement with it more who knows.

Yeah that kinda blows. And I'm not a fan of the released pack not having alternate colors. There's simply no excuse for that.

Yeah, I'm pretty let down with the DLC so far. Where are these new characters they had people voting for and stuff?

I'd be happy with new costumes/stages at the very least but I'd love some new characters to spice things up.
