ROFL. WFAN is reporting that Pujols is miffed at La Russa and that La Russa may well have left Pujols on the bench to give the AL a better shot at winning cause him and Leyland are friends and the Cards have no chance in hell of making it to the World Series anyway.

I'd laugh is Pujols demands a trade because of this or something.

I didn't bother watching the game. Well I watched the first 2 innings but I just wasn't interested in it this year. Same as the HR Derby, I watched some of it, but meh, guess I'm bored of these things. Same as hockey, haven't watched the skills games or the All Star game for a couple years now.

Yeah...MLB used to be really the only one I would watch but now its just fairly boring. I can tolerate it for a bit but then it just gets old.

Probably has to do with the fact that the players, coaches, and umps treat it like an exhibition (like Crawford's HR last night...obvious fan interference non-call by the umps, A-Rod's lazy play, LaRussa being an idiot, etc.) even though it is supposed to be a "meaningful" game. It's basically only entertaining if you are in the ballpark I guess...cause I went to a AAA All Star Game once and it was great.

It would be orgasmic...but he would cost basically every remotely decent prospect they have.

I think they should work Interleague Play like this: move an NL team to the AL. This makes it 15 per league. And basically you'll always have one interleague series going on at any given time. However, it won't be in the spotlight usually unless it happens to be Mets/Yanks, Cubs/ChiSox, etc.

Plus this way we don't have both leagues clashing all around for a good two weeks. Annoys the shit outta me cause its so played out.
