Lebron and D Wade driving at D12, with Bosh getting after him too? Tell me you can't see this moron picking up early fouls?

OH NO! The horror! Not foul trouble for Dwight! Then we'd be stuck having to go to Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, or Pau Gasol! How terrible!
73 wins here we come! |

If the Cavs pick up Bynum as the third team in this deal and can convince him to re-up there long term they might be the biggest winners of all in this whole deal. Kyrie is one or two seasons away from top PG status and Bynum would be the best center in the East and both of those guys are young. The Magic are rebuilding and the Lakers probably have a two year window before Kobe, Nash and Gasol retire.

Definitely agree those two teams would be 1A and 1B and that would be one hell of an NBA Finals series. I think it would come down to whatever team was healthier.

Celtics and Rockets close to a deal which would become a sign-and-trade deal once done.
Celtics would get: Courtney Lee Rockets would get: JaJuan Johnson E'Twaun Moore Sean Williams a 2nd Round draft pick |

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/81...re-free-agency
So now the possibility of a Dwight Howard deal to LA is in jeopardy after DH's agent says that no matter what team trades for him, he will not sign an extension and will test the free agent market after the season. Fuck this guy, man. He's so ambivalent. |

I think ESPN's "experts" fuel a lot of the confusion too. The Dwight signing an extension with L.A. thing was based on a "source" as was the claim that Dwight was trying to get out of his contract with Orlando by claiming he was blackmailed. These guys are just making shit up as they go in some cases.

I don't see why Dwight is in such a rush to leave Orlando.
It's a great city. He should go like "I'll take a discount, sign a 2 year deal and if things don't change, then I'm gone. Now, y'all go out and find some good players to put around me, let's do this". |

Its the idea or at least the perception that superstars only want to play in certain cities and in recent years form their own Big squads. Been an issue for the NBA for years but only became a lot more visible the years after Jordan and stars started to get coddled a lot more regardless if they really deserved it.
Orlando might be a great city but why play there when Brooklyn or Los Angeles is a lot better in terms of big market exposure and a lot better on paper than the Magic are. |

Celtics trade for Courtney Lee was finalized earlier today with Portland being involved in order to balance the cash on both sides of the trade and for Lee to be guaranteed a long term contract with the Cs.
Celtics get: Courtney Lee Rockets get: JaJuan Johnson E'Twaun Moore (expected to be waived) Sean Williams (expected to be waived) 2nd round draft pick Portland get: Sasha Pavlovic two second-round picks cash considerations |

Signed Jamison, resigned Hill. That alone helps the front court. Need, at the very least, some young legs that will be pesky defensively to come off the bench for the back court. Even if not, there's no doubt this Lakers squad is already better than last year's.

This has to be the worst way to handle free agency. Just horrible, never seen a guy handle it as worse as this guy in any sport.

Also, Sammy, you adorable scamp, I hope my yearly custom of picking a new team to root for doesn't offend you. But it seems like it has for whatever reason. I hope we can remedy this before the season begins.
