Doesn't manning count for like 17-18mil on the cap next year? any word if he would renegotiate? or does that cause the remainder of that signing bonus to hit right away?

I've read that Manning and Harrison are due a nice chunk of the money next season. I dont know if either are gunna renegotiate or not. I wouldnt expect Manning to renegotiate at all. He's worth every penny IMO. People were saying Manning should do it for the better of the team 2 years ago. He didnt and now we are as good as ever. I think alot of trust will be put in the front office to get what needs to be done, done. Plus someone is gunna get franchised. Probably not Edge, most likely Reggie Wayne if the are aloud to franchise unrestricteds???

I'm pretty sure you can franchise unrestricteds,

If I remember mannings deal, he got like a 34mil bonus (which cap wise breaks over 7yrs, I think it was a 7yr deal), and the first 2 teams of his deal were like 500K to 1mil, because they had cap problems... then it explodes I think next year...

I'm sure they'll figure it out, but a renegotation doesn't mean your not worth it, but in some cases it's worth less money to have a better team, also what they can do is say give him a new deal, with a new bonus and low yearly, so he gets his money upfront, and they can break it over more years at a lower cap hit.

Haha yeah anyone remember that commercial where Strahan was on a laptop at the gym looking up the single season sack leader? He was like "Let's see who holds the records for sacks in a season?" then he goes "Oh look! It's Michael Strahan!"

Hilarious.

Remember the commercial with Strahan and Chris Bober?

I don't recall exactly how it goes, but Michael Strahan is a funny guy. I bet he told a joke and made Favre fall down with laughter.

Yeah yeah one bogus sack. I know I know. That shouldn't go so far as to say he didn't have a great season, considering he often is double teamed.

I remember everyone being shocked when Billicheck delt him to the Bills.

Then everyone figured, Billicheck always gave Bledsoe fits and now he (had) has a QB in his Division that he feels he can beat every time.

"In Bellicheck we trust".

Interesting article I just saw on ESPN by the way. It noted that Strahan, in 13 games against Eagles OT Jon Runyan has 11.5 sacks. Strahan pretty much pwns.

I feel pretty sorry for the 72' Dolphins. It seems the more the Colts win the more writers write about how the Dolphins are jackasses. I dont really no how much of that is true. Or how they celebrate and stuff, but they've been getting blasted for there toastes to the final team to lose. O well. 12-0 . Jacksonville will give us one hell of a game this week. Thats a division game and they are a really good team that no one talks about at all. They are gunna be out there to prove something. I would not be shocked if we lost this game, but i think we will be prepared and ready for anything they throw at us.

Is Garrard still under the helm for the Jags? They seem to be doing quite well in spite of Leftwich's absence.

Decent article on some upcoming free agents. Reading that I'd be surprised, if he's available, if Denver don't go for Wayne instead of trying to pick up TO. Far less hassle and far greater long-term potential.

But you know damn well TO is thinking he deserves one. I think TO is going to be in a huge predicament at the end of the year. Whatever team actually does want to sign him, won't want him to a long and lucrative deal, which TO wants. He is going to get something for the short term, not flashy and thats gonna cause another media shitstorm.

and not ONE Viking on there!

And by the way, my brother tried arguing that Rosenhaus is responsible for TO's shit. No, TO is responsible. You take risks when you sign with Rosenhaus. He's the heavy hitter, he "gets it done."

When you're an amazing player, usually your contract will work itself out. Everyone else needs to go to a special Agent who can milk it. Like when you need corrective surgery, like when you need money fast... you take risks. Surgery could kill you, short-term loans will destroy your credit. And when you sign with Rosenhaus, you have to be prepared for a holdout. Terrell Owens doesn't know how to hold out. He's getting a bad rap because of one client; and remember -- it's just one client.

If I had this guy as an agent and saw what he did with the TO situation, I would drop him in a heartbeat. I mean, TO gets enough bad PR himself but Rosenhaus just adds to the troubles. If I was another one of his players I would most certainly give him a call and search elsewhere.

Like him or not, like Scott Borus for baseball, he gets the job done and gets his guys top $$$.

Look at MCGahee, he got a guy who they didn't know if he'd walk normal again a 1st round pick.

The best was he pushed that Belicheck was scouting him, the truth was Belicheck was there looking at someone else, and McGahee was around and helped out or something...

Hey Bean, how about CJ Mosley now? Sid Hartman has been singing his praises for the past two weeks. Watch out!

Let me guess: Sid is saying he's said all along that this CJ Mosley kid is something special?

I hope they have signature "voice of the team" crap for the emails/newspapers in Madden in the future... we could have Sid saying "I told you so" about everything.

If i had any football talent. I'd take him as my agent. The argument that Rosenhause is resposible is just dumb. If TO is not getting paid, Rosenhause isnt getting paid. Its pretty simple. And considering Drew has had way more success then he has had failure. I would say T.O screwed T.O.

I think Rosenhause has cornered the market on Florida period.
