Okay haven't read through this thread, so I dunno what everyone's thoughts are, but I really enjoyed this PPV. The Kofi/McIntyre match was really good, and the DiBiase/Truth match was also really good, plus the Truth win was totally unexpected.

The Punk/Mysterio match was awesome as would be expected, and the tag match was one of the best I've seen in a long time. Both of these matches had a lot of false finishes and nearfalls. The tag match was a solid, evenly matched contest, instead of the usual 'isolate the face, hot tag etc' formula.

The Orton/Edge and Swagger/Show match were both going good until the endings, which kinda spoiled what would have been a good pair of matches.

The diva match = meh, and the main event was good for a Cena/Batista match, but certainly nothing special. Cena sounded way to calm everytime he said 'no', and lol at Cole at the beginning saying 'this is one of the biggest matches in the history of the WWE'.

Overall, really good PPV. It makes a change coming home and not being disapointed.

Glad someone on here enjoyed it. Too bad I can't say the same for myself. I mean, come the fuck on...7 out of 8 matches on a PPV where you have the faces win (Kofi, Cena, Show [albeit by DQ but whatever], Hart Dynasty, Rey, Truth, and Eve)?! Plus, Show wins by DQ, and I guess it was really out of their hands for the ending to Edge vs. Orton, but I was SO hoping to see them at least try and finish the match...I would've liked to have seen Edge with the "Spear! Spear! Spear!" for the 3 count, but I guess they were just "playing it safe" with the whole double count-out thing. Still, though, can't honestly remember the last PPV I saw with multiple no contest/draw endings. Oh, well. Maybe (yeah, riiiiight...) Fatal 4 Way will be better.

Wow, gotta say that is likely the worst live WWE show I have ever been to. I tried to get my TPWW sign on tv, but not totally sure if it did or not. I was on the first row of the lower bowl section right of the announcers, left on tv. I also took a CM Punk Straight Edge Savior sign as well.

The match being stopped due to Punk's blood loss really is worse live. Even though a bunch of Rey's fans were just cheering him for him to get back in the ring. And Punk even looked legit pissed off about it.

Though some of the matches were solid, this ppv has to be one of the biggest botchfests of the year. Swagger getting a DQ win and Edge/Orton having to be stoppped by injury really killed this ppv for me. Not totally worth the $70 tickets.

I didn't watch the show, but I predicted everything except for the draw in Tipsters. Definitely one of the easiest PPVs to call this year.

I hear ya loud and clear. It was easily, IMHO the worst PPV so far this year. I think the only way it could have been worse is if Show had won Swagger's title. Thank God he didn't though.

Honestly I agree. It wasn't terrible, but it wasn't too great either. I called the finish to the WHC match. Pretty sure it was obvious Hart Dynasty was going over. It was a good show. Not a good PPV, but a good show.

Outside of the main event, nothing had a "PPV" feel. For the amount of money ($45?) you pay for it, it's not worth it.

It would be a fine Clash of the Champions-like show, not a Pay Per View.

All in all, the undercard was solid and everything fell apart at Edge vs. Orton.

SCHLOMEY'S **OFFICIAL** OVER THE LIMIT REVIEW


Pre-Show : Cool set. I KNOW the cars will play a part somehow. I dig the logo, the name and the set. Now on to the show...


1. Drew McIntire vs Kofi Kingston - I didn't even know this was on the card. Not a Drew mark at all. In fact he bores me. BUT Kofi got a good match out of him. Decent opening match with a good finish. 8/10.

2. Ted Dibiase vs R-Truth - Forgot about this match going into the event. I really love Dibiase right now but this match sucked. He was off his game from the start. Either that or these 2 just don't flow well in the ring. I wasn't thrilled with the lame anti-climactic finish. 4/10

3. Rey Mysterio vs CM Punk - Match of the night for me. The got the time they deserved and it was executed perfectly.
As far as the blood goes....I was very sympathetic to WWE about executing the no blood policy but honestly, after seeing blood here I want it back. It gave the match a little extra. I didn't mind the match stoppage at all because when Punk heard the BORING chant he quit giving a shit and went on Rey like a bat out of hell. I am not thrilled to see a bald Punk (he looked like Charles Manson) but DAMNIT that was a good match. 9/10.

Why the hell did Kane come down?

4. Randy Orton vs Edge - What happened here? Such a SLOW match from the very beginning. The lame duck of the show for sure. Poor Orton trying to be emotional just cost him....2/10

5. Jack Swagger vs Big Show - Show is great as a face. His vignettes last week on SD and the hijinx from the 2 weeks prior have really set up a good match here. The action was tight and Swagger did a better job this time around dealing with the big man. Again, shit finish that I kinda expected..Just not so early in the match. Coulda been 4 stars but because of those factors it drops to a 1 or a 2. 4/10.


6. I SKIPPED THE DIVA MATCH

7. John Cena vs Batista - I was actually really stoked about this match. Not a fan of either of these chaps but this feud has actually been decent. High hopes for a swerve. My favorite Cena matches:

1. Cena vs Edge - TLC
2. Cena vs Edge - Last Man Standing
3. Cena vs Orton - Iron Man Match
4. Cena vs Umaga - I forget the gimmick but the match was awesome


This match could have made the top 3 but lacked energy to me. Seemed rather forced at times and plodding. The finish made me die inside. Couldn't let Batista go out strong they had to take his character and totally change it all around to make him go out like a big pussy. Fuck them for that. I did enjoy him going through the stage after the bell though. 7/10.





Overall it was pretty weak but far from the worst PPV ever. Glad I didn't pay for it but I also think some good things did happen.

I was really disappointed with this show, to be honest. Punk/Rey and Jericho & Miz/Hart Dynasty were the only matches worth watching. Everything else was meh. Orton getting hurt sucks
