Meh at the ending and not because Cena won but how he got his "superman" moment and doesn't bother to sell all the abuse he got from the Miz as he's chasing and attacking him until after the bell rings to end the match.
Match itself was decent and I thought Miz was going to use the kids more until the fake recording ( at when the ref finds out he was duped). The ending just felt a big let down after all the abuse and Cena barely did anything in the match.Good PPV overall though. |

I really enjoyed Over The Limit.
I'd say it was better than Extreme Rules. |

Yep.. Gay. Cena gets his ass beat for 30 minutes... Miz gets whipped for 30 seconds and quits like a bitch...
Very anti-climactic ending to an over all decent PPV. Match of the night goes to Orton/Christian IMO. |

Now I didn't watch the PPV but I'm hearing that a (top) babyface refused to give up in the face of adversity and the cowardly heel gave up as soon as he was in trouble. Imagine that on a pro wrestling show.

I thought the main event was quite good.
At times I thought Cena would actually say "I Quit". Also, Miz quitting as soon as he's whipped a few times and put into an STF plays right into his character. He is just a cocky jackass who is all talk and is actually just a wuss. That's pretty much his character. ![]() But I do think Match of the Night was Orton vs Christian. |

That last match was pretty brutal. Felt like a half an hour segment rather than a match. The end result of making Cena not only look like Superman, but Jesus (the Jewish guy, not the guy who stabbed him in a nightclub) too. Then making Miz look like an absolute pushover.
Otherwise pretty solid card. Christian/Orton was a fantastic match with one of the best crowds I have heard in a long time.... EXCEPT CHRISTIAN DID NOT WIN. |

What a great year for PPV's so far, every one has been very good in one way or another and I thought all around this was a good PPV, nothing bad nothing mind blowing, but everything had it's purpose and the matches had great stories. Props to R-Truth and Mysterio I dug that match a lot, also Sin Cara and Chavo did great work together, Sin Cara is a star.

Ending was kinda eh but it was expected. But the rest of the match was very well done. Miz showed up big time tonight.

Thing is, Miz has shown his ability to not be a wuss. The few weeks leading to Mania where he did NOT have Alex Riley and still beat down Cena could have been the start of making Miz more "legit" but they decided to go back to the cowardly heel who can't win except by cheating.

Also, how long are people going to hide behind the argument of "we want heels to go over" every time Cena wins? If this was Christian getting the face push you wouldn't hear a peep (
) out of anyone.

The cowardly heel is the basis of wrestling. The crowd cheers for the strong face. They boo the cowardly heel. They know the face would win in a fair fight, but the heel refuses to fight fair. COME ON

I had two problems with the main event.
1. Miz recruited Riley for it. That angle would have been fine, had Cena not run them both off after no-selling a lead pipe on Monday. 2. The entire match was essentially nullified once it was overturned and Cena was pretty much back to full strength. He wasn't selling jack shit once he started his comeback. Would it have been that big of a deal for Cena to show SOME humanity to him by selling that he was just in a thirty minute beatdown? That's really my biggest problem with Cena. His lack of selling after his final fire up. Otherwise, the match was fine. I wasn't thrilled with the way Miz tapped out immediately, and I think that could have been done a bit differently, but I agree that it showed Miz's cowardice and that does make it ok. That said, it was a pretty good PPV. Great match between Christian vs. Orton, and really opened the possibility for Orton vs Christian as the SummerSlam main event, if they simmer it for a few months. |

Triple H and Vader can pull off badass heel. Other than that, cowardly heel is 500000000000000000 times more entertaining. No exaggeration.

Also, the Michael Cole/Lawler match was pretty much what it should have been at Mania. Straight up beatdown of Cole, decisive Lawler win, post-match Cole humiliation.

-Rey/Truth was a nice opener, and it was definitely the right move to put Truth over here. I wonder if they'll actually push Truth to the title.
-Barrett/Zeke was better than I had predicted. Nothing too special, but it set up a rematch well. -Cara/Chavo was a decent showcase. Can't stand that stupid lighting though. And what the hell was that finish? Oh well. -Tag Titles was entertaining to me for biased reasons since Punk's matches seem to be my favorite. -Divas match was decent also. Not quite sure what the whole "Kharma's not here now" thing is all about, but w/e. -Orton/Christian was MOTN by far. Nice to hear that Christian was getting a great (possibly better) response than Orton was getting. I can tell we are still in Act 1 of this feud, and this still has plenty of legs. Really anticipating where this one is headed. -Lawler/Cole was what should have happened at Mania (as LJ said). Nice to see this one finally done with. -Main event was an entertaining ass-kicking. Told a good story and had a cool false finish. I think I enjoyed this one because of the low expectations I had for it and I was surprised on some parts. Nothing special though. Overall the PPV was probably the worst of 2011 for me, which isn't a bad thing since I feel all the PPVs have been at least very good. If you haven't seen it, the only must-see is Orton/Christian. |

at least change things up a bit... The old "face starts off strong then gets beat up by the heel for 20+ minutes then the face miraculously comes back to win" schtick gets really old the first 1000 times you see it

Ok, so... just getting home from the PPV, a couple things I noticed...
Daniel Bryan got a strong response all through the dark match. (It's to be expected though.) The crowd wasn't particularly into the first half of the show. They tended to be pretty mixed for the matches they were into. Very few obvious crowd favorites. Chavo limped out with a ref supporting him after his match. Big Zeke does clotheslines, bodyslams, and... no, that's about it. Strangely, he seems to have copied Mason Ryan's move set. Christian and Orton was by far the best match of the night. At least around me, anyone over the age of 14 who wasn't a female was pretty disgusted with the Miz vs. Cena match. I don't know how it came across on TV, but by and large a lot of us were bored with the whole "I'm gonna hit you twice and then talk to you for five minutes" schtick. We became quite certain Miz's secret plan to make Cena say "I quit" was not, in fact, Riley -- it was to bore him so bad that he would quit just to make Miz shut up. |

Was there live with a great seat.
Bryan/Drew: Very good dark match. Drew came out to mixed reactions. Bryan got a massive hometown pop. Pretty solid match ending with a Labell Lock. Rey/Truth: Just wasn't feeling Truth the whole match. Rey was very popular around Seattle including his KISW interview with BJ Shea. Huge reaction for Rey but didn't feel the ending. Zeke/Wade: Enjoyed the match a lot actually and loved Jackson's power display. Disappointed that the ending didn't include a 450. Sin/Chavo: Massive pop for Sin Cara. Liked the entire match until the botched ending. BigKane/Nexus: Huge pop for Punk (and Del Rio for that matter). Really solid match with a standard finish. Thoroughly enjoyed myself. Bella/Kelly: Sigh.....Twin Magic. No Kharma. Wish I'd taken a smoke break. Orton/Christian: Fantastic match. No fault in my eyes. Great crowd reaction on both ends. Amazing ending. Lawler/Cole: Pretty much everything you'd expect out of that match.....until BRET HART BRINGS 16000 PEOPLE TO THEIR FEET!!!!! I and 6 others reported tears at the sight of him. Great pop for JR and King. Cena/Miz: Great pop for Miz, 50/50 for Cena. Looked like a good snuff match for a while and then the "ending" which just didnt go over well, neither did the actual ending. All in all, good show, very happy i was there. Diesel - Seattle |

Really wanna see this Christian/Orton match.
Also, Cena winning is perfectly fine, but no selling a huge beating is a legit complaint. |
