Christian matches have not been interesting I think his match with the Miz was one of his worst showing and b4 its said and done Cody will use Christian name to bolster the worthiness of the IC title. however i do agree with Noid that a fighting IC champ no matter who it is would do wonders for the belt.

Christian is amazing in the ring as a face. That was the thing I missed when he turned heel was those matches where he would do a ton of "facey" stuff in the ring just to play with the crowd. Piper used to do the same thing.

I did see that Frog Splash on Monday.

I could've sworn he was heel, because I thought I saw him cut a heel promo when he came back. Guess not.

I don't really view Jericho as a top guy, never really saw him as anything other than a transitional champion.

he called him transitional i mean this guy is a triple crown champion. He's the first ever undisputed Champion in wrestling history. He's a grand slam champion. He won 2 slammys for superstar of the year and tag team of the year. And though the slammys are rigged he really deserved them. He was even the European champion and hardcore champion. And as already mentioned he was 9x IC champ and this isn't even most of his achievements. Well maybe it is but he still has a lot more. No he was never the #1 guy in the WWE or WCW or ECW but he was never a transitory champion.

And? In any of his World Title runs was he ever booked as the 'Man'? He won the undisputed title but the focus wasn't really on him. You realise its a work right because Raven was a 47 time Hardcore Champion so by your logic he was the most successful singles competitor ever.

Our logic must not meet because the Hardcore title isn't a major title. Its a gimmick title. I mention Jericho having european title and Hardcore title as a "He even won titles that don't exist anymore". It was for boltsering. Still no transitory champion can boast being a triple crown and grand slam.

yes it does because to say he sux is a personal opinion but to say he isn't a top guy is to go against all the evidence. Like I think Christian Sux but he's still one of WWE top mid carders based on evidence.

Simply trying to mix up the metaphors, top guy/ the man whatever, Benoit held major titles in every promotion he was in too, still wouldn't say he was a top guy. The fact that Jericho can be demoted,and I use the term loosely, to the minor titles after being world champ sums it up for me, when was the last time Cena or HHH were competing over IC titles? Even when Jericho was world champion he was never the focal point of the show, no idea who he lost the strap too but I'm going to guess he held it between Cena reigns.

And I never said he "sux", really you should try using proper grown up words btw, I simply said in my opinion he was a transitional champion. I don't think he sucks, I think he's vastly overrated but again my opinion.

I find it a bit odd that Jericho was supposed to wrestle Orton, and now they're both suspended.

well he's certainly not a "long term guy" when it comes to holding titles, he's a guy who draws great heat, he makes people want to see him get beaten up/"get his comeuppance", which is a great spot for a placeholder with somebody else chasing his title, he's not the guy chasing the title and potentially holding it for a long time. Which isn't to say he couldn't be but I'm pretty sure he's "past" career advancement now and is perfectly happy in that spot, he's set for life, can pretty much come and go as he pleases and has probably achieved stuff past any of his wildest dreams. He's always over, people always "buy what he's selling", he can bounce around between the main event and the midcard and even drop odd matches to lower guys and it doesn't hurt him. He's an attraction.

Jericho is definitely a transitional champion. He's not a guy who can carry a promotion, but is great for putting people over, and there's nothing wrong with that.

He's a very effective heel, and does wonders for drawing drawing face reaction to who he's facing.

Jericho could be a long-term champ and "the man" if he really wanted to, but at this point he seems to be happier with the level of success he's had in branding himself in both the wrestling and rock and roll worlds. Probably his one regret is that he didn't achieve as much notariety in non-wrestling TV as he wanted - his DWTS stint and gameshow both left something to be desired.

Reason I ended the argument after CSL explained is because if i continued to argue on it would of been on a play of word semantics. Originally when he said not one of the top guys, I assumed that he meant he didn't get the lvl of push of orton Cena HHH etc. etc.. As far as him being the # 1 guy in the company or at least the # 2 its a spot reserved for few. And it seems that if ur not in that #1 or #2 spot ur considered a transitional champion to those here or at least in this forum. i happen to disagree with that assumption. Thought it better to pick a different war especially since most the people here have been here for a while and are on the same wave length as far as meanings to words.
Did think it was cute to be called an idiot though. Can't wait to see how my insults are taken. hahahahahahahaha (evil laugh). I'll bid my time.

For what it's worth Jericho is probably my favorite of all time so my statement wasn't because of a biased opinion against the guy. Also as far as I know I didn't call you an idiot.
