You know it's coming. Only with Kinect 2.0, of course.

I would like to see what they'd do with Battletoads, though. A new PD or BK should, hopefully, be closer to the originals. I'd like classy Joanna over the Zero Joanna. I'd like to have a platformer like BK1 and 2 rather than something like N&B.

I know it's different people. It really cannot be that hard for them to grasp what people liked in those serieses or from those characters.

Think a new Perfect Dark or Banjo would be more likely than a new KI or Conkers. At last with PD, they can use 4J Studios to help out (worked on XBLA port).

Don't think anyone who worked on the KI or Conkers series still works at Rare. Might have missed out on the window for KI considering Capcom recently stated the fighting market is way too saturated and declining again.

Don't want Kinect, and apparently the X1 won't function without it, so f off microsoft.

Also, having to run it online once a day just so microsoft can fill your dashboard with fresh ads? Shameful.

But we see just that all the time, do we? Inheriting developers miss the point 80% of the time. You have XBL, same as me. Is it really so different now? I've been off lately but overall we (and many of us here) were online whenever we booted up. I understand I may lean toward this attitude since most my interest in gaming is playing online, so my gaming reality already hinges on whether they could keep their damn servers up and running.

Yeah. I'm not fed up with fighters but, if they think the market is saturated, they only have themselves to blame.

Turned my XBox Live off of auto-renew. I barely use it as it is and there's no reason to keep it running as right now, I will not be getting an XBone at launch. Don't think a lot is going to change my mind.

Bunch of Xbox One news mostly in regards to games, avatars, and the controller itself.

In regards to games:
* Ryse confirmed to be an Xbox One exclusive according to Crytek
* Destiny confirmed to be having an Xbox One version
* Microsoft currently thinking of doing a "1 vs 100" type game for the console
* Unlike the PS4 and Wii U, indie developers can't self-publish games for the console nor have as much control over the games.

In regards to the console and other things:
* Gold accounts will be unified to work on all Microsoft-related systems so having a Gold account on the Xbox 360 means you have the same Gold account on Xbox One.
* Microsoft stated Xbox Avatars will carry over to the Xbox One and corrected a mistake from the Xbox Event which stated they weren't.
* Microsoft also confirmed the hard drive is not replaceable but HDD size can be increased by the use of external USB storage devices (similar to the Wii U).
* The controller itself has been reworked to have a smaller dead zone while being more responsive with the buttons.

I can accept that. It's being stated before release that it's HDMI only. My issue with the 360 was that it was released to be both SD and HD yet more and more gamesrequired an HD tv above a certain size.

I wont have an HD tv for a while yet* so no Xbox One for me.

*HD tvs are around £300 and I'm running an entire house (not just a flat/apartment) and I'm out of college/work right now. The new bedroom tax doesn't help. No way can I justify that price tag for what is a luxury item when my current TV still works perfectly well. That on top of the actual console is an impossiblity.

I sold my Xbox 360 and got a Wii U instead, it was a great console but I just always preferred my PS3 and the Sony exclusives. The dashboard was bothering me though with all the advertising, I just hope the next Sony dashboard isn't the same.

Honestly from what I have seen out of Microsoft so far, I am not really impressed by the Xbox one. Even though I didn't pick up a PS3 this gen, I may be swayed to get a PS4 for the next gen, if I get a next gen console at all. These days gaming seems to have lost its luster for me, I have a Wii and an Xbox 360 but I don't play either one all that much, time will tell if I cave in and buy a new console.

Used games from retailers will still work, but they have to sign up to MS's terms and conditions so they manage all the licenses AKA the publishers and MS still get a cut.

I'm pretty sure this will lock out private selling of your own games.

Don't see how most retailers would bother to accept that plan if it really does leave them with just a 10% cut while MS and the publishers get to haul in 90% of every used game purchase.

The 10% cut on new games is a big reason why those same stores carry used games since it barely covers the costs needed to run a store in the long term.

When I worked retail, the markup on games was often far less than 10%, to boot.

I agree with the basic premise. One of the main reasons we have this issue in the first place is that the markup on games is shitty, which makes it hard to work a business model around it.
