Lol, I forget the exact situation, but I remember Bertuzzi getting some penalty that killed any chances of them winning one of those games when the Wild came back from 3-1. Lol, I've always thought he was a dumbass since.

zen is right, Bertuzzi is getting star treatment, and getting off light. He would have sat out more games in a lockout. But i'll be happy to see him back.

The NHL is going for a brand new look, and a fresh start after the lockout, might as well get everything delt with so you really can have a fresh start.

Back to Bert and last season(sorry guys and gals). I believe he wasn't allowed to play for any international teams last year because of the suspension. So yes he was penalized for 13 games, playoffs and all of last year should he would have wanted to play.

I feel terrible for Steve Moore and the injury he suffered, but I do believe that there are more than just Bertuzzi to blame for that incident.

1) Tony Gronato. Given the circumstances of the game (a blow out) Moore shouldn't of been on the ice. He was a marked man and the only marked man on the Avalanche line up. I believe this was a very arrogant move on Gronato's part rubbing salt in the wound of the Canucks.

2) The refs. If they would have been smart they would have given Moore a match penalty when he fought earlier in the night to avoid it becoming ugly as he was obviously from the outset a marked man.

3) The media. It reminded me of the hype of the Domi/Probert fight so long ago when Domi was playing in New York.

4) Crawford. You can't tell me he didn't send Bert out there to take Moore out.

5) The League Officials. I don't care what you say. Moore should have been penalized after the fact for the hit on Naslund. If there would have been a suspension perhaps the Canucks wouldn't have been so pissed off and the incident possibly averted.

6) All the players who decided to pile on Bert after the hit. Certainly it looked like Bert knocked him out with the one punch, however the players piling on Bert on a unconcious Moore didn't help Moore's condition. I can't say it caused any injury, but it certainly may have.

My take anyways....

no, saying that a guy who contribute nothing offensivly, takes dumb penalties, can't skate, and isn't even a better fighter than Domi is retarded

Steve Moore was a victem, but he's playing it up way too much.

The Avs signing Brad May should be enough to tell anyone what the AVs and hockey world thing of Moore's lawsuit.

And the Pens have a proven starter

they got Jocelyn Thibault from Chicago for a mere 4th round pick in the 2006 draft. Nice job!

He can play started while Fleury develops and he can help Fleury adapt too given that they are both French-Canadians

http://pittsburghpenguins.com/team/p...rts/1286.0.php

http://tsn.ca/nhl/news_story.asp?ID=133011&hubName=nhl

So now all they need to get is maybe another foward (Stumpel would work) and a decent but inexpensive defensive defenseman and they'd be wicked playoff contenders.

Hossa is going for arbitration. It will be interesting to see what he receives in the new NHL enviroment. You can bet it will be a couple million less than what he would have before.

Anyone else catch the talk on the people going to arbitration. Seemed like all the players had career highs in points going in to the arbitration process. That is one reason why I like that the owners can take the players to arbitration for non-performance. They always seem to play well when a new contract is on the line, then disappear, and then resurface when it is time to re-negotiate.

Yeah they were both dropped after the new CBA was signed. Those two were classic Wild, Brunette was the absolute man in the playoffs in '03. Thanks LL, I wasn't aware where they had signed.

What are the Av's going to be like now? No Forsberg, Kariya, or Foote. They still have Sakic, Hejduk, Tanguay, and Blake, do they still have Selane or any other superstars? Looking back its kind of rediculous how the Avs and the Wings didn't completely dominate the league.

Also, Hossa should sign with the Wild. He is my favorite player, but since he isn't going to the Senators are still my fav team.

He stated he was 250 at the press conference and usually plays at 244. No problem
