They should seriously tape the show every week from there, the crowd is what makes ECW. Always did.

I thought Show vs Batista was a pretty decent match, except for the dq ending.

Just got back from the show. Here is a brief account of being in the crowd live:

Dark Matches-

Balls Mahony def. Rene Dupree
-Major heat on Dupree. Balls got a great reaction, obviously.

Roadkill def. Stevie Richards
-Nothing special, except the 'You fuck sheep" chant.

London/Kendrik def. Little Guido/Tony Mamaluke
-Great reation for Guido and Mamaluke. However, the match contained many boring chants because it was, you know, boring. One high spot in the match when Kendrick jumps outside the ring to onto the FBI.

C.W. Anderson def. Shannon Moore
-Lots of faggot, queer, gay, emo queer chants directed at Moore. After the match he goes on the mic and says he doesn't care what anyone thinks about him and that he is out to be the top cruiserweight in the world.

Sci-Fi Show
Test/Knox def. Sandman/Dreamer
-Major pops for Sandman and Dreamer. Crowd wanted to see Kelly naked, and/or go through the barb wire table. Tommy's bump on the table looked devastating, as did the Sandman cane shots.

CM Punk def. Justin Credible
-Major pop for CM Punk when his pre-taped promo was shown. The match felt dissappointing, but CM was over nonetheless. Should be noted that there were many anti-Straight Edge chants. After any CM Punk chant, a group of guys in my section followed by chanting, with 'sucks!'.

Kurt Angle def. Brooklyn Brawler
-Brooklen Brawler was way over with the crowd, telling them ECW is where he can be himself and one day the ECW Hvwt. champion. Angle comes out to a massive pop. Quick squash.

Batista def. Big Show via DQ
-The crowd crapped on this match from the beginning and never gave it a chance to succeed. Chants included, 'change the channel' (my favorite of the night), 'you both suck', 'we want a refund', 'this match sucks', 'boring'. The DQ finish wasn't much of a surprise to anyone, and most everyone there seemed to be glad it was over.

Sabu came to a HUGE pop and reaction when he layed out Big Show. After the match Big Show and Batista shook hands as the crowd voiced their disapproval, not at the showmanship, but for the fact that the match was awful...it felt that way live.

After the show went off the air, a fan was beaten and arrested by security for throwing a water bottle at Big Show. The fans witnessing the arrest chanted, 'ECW' in response.

That was you with the Prom King sign?

Sandman stood right in front of me before he hopped the rail, was on my chair, poored beer all over me, dropped the beer next to me....WOOO FREE 1/6 OF A BEER. Then I gave the can to a kid, made his night.

Punk was way over, lost voice, good debut match against Justa Jobber

Brawler was insanely over, as was Angle, Balcony tried to get a dueling chant going

Batista/Show...amazing for all the wrong reasons.

After Show got off the mic at the end of the night, the guy to my left tossed a beer on him, I almost got taken out by security, nuts

The worst thing that could of happened to this show was also the best part:

THE CROWD.

Knowing Vince, he'll never book a show at another "ecw" arena again... just because you know he is pissed with the reaction Dave got tonight.

The thing was, the match really wasn't THAT bad. The problem was with what I knew it was gonna be: Dave isn't ECW in their eyes, nor is Show.

Yeah, I do feel for big Dave, but he just should have never been put into that environment. The match wasn't horrible, it's just gonna be remembered because of the crowd.

And I go with Slugs' theory that more than likely, Vince will never book at Hammerstein again.

That's good news. Sounds fucking awesome. Best ECW on SciFi show yet! Crowd reaction really DOES make a huge difference.

The Hammerstein crowd is seriously the most amazing crowd ever. Every time I have been there it has been the funnest time of my life.

Last night was amazing. Like an entire crowd chanting exactly what I am thinking. LOVE IT.
