This new information isn't that devastating as many of you are making it out to be. I'm still holding hope that it won't suck, but the lack of options does mean I won't be buying it till the price drops below 40.

Suppose the game has one thing going for it, and that is it seems the wrestlers themselves are doing the mo-cap so moves should look as they do on tv. Suppose it helps the finishers look more authentic, smackdown series has yet to give big show a chokeslam that looks convincing.

Near sure yukes just use random japanese wrestlers.

Just watched the gameplay video, it doesn't look 'terrible'. I might just pick it up, could be an interesting alternate to Smackdown.

For the SVR series, they were using one of the Bashams. Can't remember which.

You can fight outside the ring, it shows that in the videos. I think by 'ring area' it means you can't go up the ramp and stuff.

That last singles spot that went to Fatu was a bitch to decide. I really wanted to put Petey Williams in for the Canadian Destroyer.

Choosing between the Steiners, Team 3D, and VKM was a bitch too...but I think they'd opt for the Steiners.

Though the article suggests the number can always go up.
I really doubt they'd leave out Chris Harris and James Storm since they've pretty much been mainstays since TNA started.

I don't think they'll include Rikishi in the game either regardless of cutoff date. And I also doubt the inclusions of Ron Killings and Elix Skipper. If anything I see the roster being something like...

Sonjay's basically confirmed as he helped do the Mo-Cap and has commentary recorder. If he's still in TNA come January he'll be in.

Totally forgot AMW though. I think Elix is a safe bet though so they can keep all of Triple X. Elix has been with TNA from the start too.

Imagine if Pacman Jones were in the game as a celeb ala Fred Durst. I'd love beating the shit out of him.

Just because they are involved in Mo-Capping, doesn't mean he is confirmed to be in the game.

And Elix has been in TNA off and on during its run, not to mention he really hadn't had the airtime other guys have gotten except when a part of XXX and even then he's taken a backseat to Senshi and Daniels.

I just checked out the new trailer and the Sting vs Angle gameplay video. In all honesty I was pretty impressed, but only because this was an obvious early version of the game. I say that because both Angle and Sting were doing X-Division moves, some of which are exclusive to specific wrestlers. One example was Sting doing the springboard moonsault into a reverse DDT combination made popular by AJ Styles. I'm highly assuming that this is only because the game is still in developement and they just wanted to show off some overall moves.

I really don't care about going back stage or refs. Although I do feel that the developers are not taking advantage of today's technology by leaving these things out. I'm focused on the game play. If I buy this game it will be because I can have fun, realistic matches. If I'm playing as AJ Styles against Christopher Daniels, and I have a fun match full of high spots and good wrestling... I could care less about anything else. I want a game that feels legit, and I'm willing to sacrifice backstage areas and refs to do that. Only time can tell if Midway has truly dropped the ball. If I had to guess I would say they have, but I'm hoping they're not.
