Yeah, the team is in absolute shambles. Sending Nedved, and Dimitrakos down, along with Baumgartner shows management is trying to send a wake up call, but judging by their game last night, the players did not answer.

perhaps, but they've invested a ton of time and money in him and they gave their captaincy to a guy they got as a free agent. that's a bad decision by the Flyers... not that I'd have expected anything different.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Flyers general manager Bob Clarke resigned and coach Ken Hitchcock was fired in a dramatic shakeup Sunday, with Philadelphia off to its worst start in more than 15 years.
Assistant John Stevens will become head coach, and assistant general manager Paul Holmgren will be the interim general manager, trying to become the latest combination to end their 31-year Stanley Cup drought. The Flyers are 1-6-1 and have the fewest points in the NHL.

Quinn might be the right guy for the Flyers. I think he tends to stick around too long in places. But as a new guy coming to that organization, I think it would be good.
