I guess I'll buy it when SSBB comes out. Prob gonna get Xbox360 this week and pick up "gears of war" merely for the fact that I love the song in the commercial.

It's not that big of a hassle, it's just plug in three plugs, put the batteries in, and off you go. I didn't have to sync it or anything.

So far, I have no problems at all with the sensor bar.

I'm talking about multiple controllers that are constantly being switched from different machines. The setup was the worst part for me. After setting up a third Wii and keeping it organized out of the box it was a lot less overwhelming but having to set the date and time and update the machine with the Wiimote is annoying to me. The update seemed rather long for being as pointless as it was to me. Just seemed like there was a lot of things that I shouldn't have had to do.

They only have a certain number of games for the virtual console right now and like half the features aren't even ready.

I know people say that Sony makes products that feel like they've been rushed to release but Nintendo did a horrid job with this. I guess if you're a die hard Nintendo fanboy, which I realize there are a few on this board, then I guess you'll see past it all but it's pretty ridiculous. Give it time before you buy it.
Trauma Centre, Excitetruck, Rayman and Zelda are all getting decent reviews. Can't wait for Dec. 8th.

I watched Gamespot's On The Spot Wii special, I didn't see them have to take the battery packs off to sync it.

I've been playing Zelda since about eight o'clock this morning, and I'm in love with the Wii. The controller is bad ass, and the graphics are quite an improvement (at least from the last Zelda to this one). Enough of posting here. I need to go beat this game.

You only need to sync up each additional controllers once with their original machine. Otherwise, there is a one-time sync mode for when you bring yours over to a friend's house.

I love it. ExciteTruck is better than the reviews I read made it look like. Wii Sports is pure party fun. And Zelda... AWESOME.

lol, what the hell is this with wireless internet?

You can use a USB adapter to connect, right? Because honestly, if you have to go through 20 kinds of red tape to connect using wireless, that's pretty gay. I don't even know if that adapter thing has even come out yet.

For the wireless, just type in your SSID, WEP (if applicable), and you're done.

The only annoying this is the ridiculously slow updating

Well, I meant I'll be using wired internet, and there seems to be a lot of confusion (at least on GameFAQs) as to how that works exactly.

Wireless should be pretty cut and dry, but what about wired internet? I know there's that USB Adapter thing, but I'm not quite sure how that bad boy works, or if it's even out yet.

Ugh. Excite Truck was another failure. I mean, as far as an arcade-style game it was kinda fun.. but I got bored extremely fast. A game is going to have to keep my attention for a lot longer than that to be considered a good game IMO.

So played my Wii last night, Wii Sports is a lot of fun. Good party game as mentioned. Also got Red Steel, controls for that I'm still iffy on. Takes time to get used to it. As to why I didn't buy Zelda, I have a lot of homework/papers coming up in next few weeks and I know that will just be a huge distraction. So waiting until Xmas time when I have basically nothing for 2 months.
Now for some bad news. Woke up this morning and my Wii doesn't want to display video or audio. Tried it on 3 tvs, called Nintendo he even said that was a new one. Getting sent a new one in 3-4 business days. Other then that, I liked what I played for it.
As for camping out, that wasn't worth it. Originally my friends and I were trying to go to Walmart or Meijers that were open 24 hours for midnight release. Those lines were already past the limited amount the stores had. So we went out to eat, 2 of the people we were with dropped out. We decided we had nothing else to do, so we camped out at Best Buy. We were 9 and 10 in line. Some friends came to visit, one decided to stay. He cut infront of about 5 people. But yeah, people were getting there a half before store opened and still got one. But the camp out was fun. Until it rained at like 3am for like 3 hours.
Suppose I can give a little review for Wii Sports for those interested. The game is a lot of fun, it was smart for them to pack it in. My family saw me playing and gave it a try, they all really enjoyed it. Certainly some of the games could use some improvments, Wii Baseball coming to mind. Interested to see how an MLB Baseball game will be done on the system. Golf I'm still iffy on too. I think with more practice it will get easier, but it's hard to judge how much power you are going to give on your hit. Boxing is a lot of fun and a workout, however not all your punches get recognized. I'm curious how 2 player boxing would be. Tennis and Bowling are a lot of fun and easy. Both are responsive and easy to pick up. Overall great game to package with the system.

I picked up Marvel Ultimate Alliance today for the Wii and it's really awesome. The graphics are better than I thought they'd be. I was apprehensive picking this up because I didn't know how the controls would feel, but they're pretty good.

I got an 360, since I didn't want to be one of the only people left, without an next gen system..

The next day (yesterday) I get an call from my mom in Florida...asking if I got an Wii....the shocking question of it baffled me abit, as I haven't discussed buying an Wii, except to one person, my sister who I work with....

More strangeness persued, when she said...the Toy - R - Us in Florida, only had about 10 of them....the fact that my mom was at Toy R Us in the first place is shocking...yet looking for an Wii...should I be putting two and two together?

I think I'm going for the Wii guys. I dunno, I'm all excited about gaming again all of a sudden.

Question cause I forget what I read before:

So this controller. Can you make it like a Gamecube controller? I think I saw a picture where it looked like a regular Gamecube controller. Or maybe not.

Are you finding it hard to get used to this remote type of controller deal?

You can use Gamecube controllers. There are 4 slots on the top. There is also a classic controller for like $20-30 which is stupid and no need other than nostalgia.

The worst thing about the controller is also the best thing about it. It can either make the game that much more exciting or it can completely kill any fun you would have in a game. It's very left and right. Just read reviews from gaming sites and peers or give them a rent before you buy it because you really can't judge from previews of the game or videos.

That wa my biggest concern about this, but as soon as I turned on my Wii and used the wiimote, I fell in love it right. Instantly I got the hang of it. I was surprised.

It was a little hard getting used to it for Marvel Ultimate Alliance because I'm so used to the PS2 controls. But it didn't take too long.

It feels very natural right away... well at least for me it did.

I agree. The moment that I picked up the controller I felt pretty comfortable with it. It took a little while to get used to swinging the remote around to use my sword (Zelda), but it's definitely a step forward.
