Unfortunatley no, but that laugh that Angle gave off makes me think he'll be a heel. Well, Monty Brown is meant to be a heel, but they just cheer him anyway.

Now...for those of us who just joined the forum, Kurt Angle jumps ship...alot.

He jumped to the Alliance then to ECW now to TNA.

Hence my comment.

I was about to blow my load upon hearing this, but I do agree that TNA has a long way to go.

Remember, TNA wants to start traveling like the WWE does for house shows. The Bound For Glory PPV in Detroit is only the start of their road shows. Which means that Angle is going to start competing in TNA, whenever that may be, right when TNA will start demanding a more taxing schedule. Second, it only takes ONE SECOND for a wrestler's career to be completly over in one form or another. We have Owen Hart to thank for proving that (sorry if that seems cold, but it's the truth). All one needs to do is to land one move the wrong way to snap Kurt's neck. But Kurt is one who knows that age old saying that wrestling isn't ballet.

Don't forget, too, that this will be a changed creative team. Vince Russo is back into the creative team in TNA, and I do believe (I could be wrong) Kurt came into the WWE during Russo's final days in the WWE, so him and Russo have worked together before (if I got that right). That could be good news for TNA, but also remember what kind of storylines Russo is known for making (Viagra On A Pole Match, anyone?).

The new time slot is good, but TNA needs to also work on being live. Get that unpredictability factor in there. It should be good if they try to do that.

These are good announcements. While TNA has a long way to go in order to get to being in a league of their own, Angle can carry THE ENTIRE TNA ROSTER, and he is main event material that you can sell as either face or heel. VERY good aquisition. Just be careful, TNA.

Christian I can see getting a good run against Sting post his title victory. Leaving what? Christian/Angle after Angle goes through a feeder feud? That's not sounding like a big money draw. Face on Face Angle/Sting would be good, but would need some time.

Also Angle CAN NOT BE HEEL. It doesn't matter what TNA or Angle want. He can't pull it off. All the WWE viewers he pulls over are going to cheer him by default, not to mention the retard TNA fans will cheer anything, and considering he will be booked as a Hero (leaving the cooperate monster in the name of the TNA fans) heel isn't even an option at this time or the foreseeable future. Even IF he waned to be heel, this is out of his control. Angle is borderline destined to be their ultimate babyface.

PS Angle will have to get new music. That will be odd.

Why are people going on about the no compete clause? Vince fired Angle, so Angle has a right to do what he wants, as happy as I am for TNA getting Angle, I'm worried he wont last long. However, the positive is they dont travel like WWE, so obviously they get less injuries which will benefit Angle.

I think they need to do a Angle/Christian feud, that would be huge.

Btw I havent read this thread past page 3.

Look at what hiring him has done. Everyone is spewing out "TNA's going to kick WWE's ass!" messages. That's what they need. Fuck not offering him a contract because he's broken down. If he wants to wrestle, let him do it. He's not a child.

As for Angle and Russo, Angle didn't make his television debut with the WWF until after Vince Russo was already in WCW.

Honestly, TNA doesn't have the luxury of being on top and having an already deep roster like the WWE does. If TNA sees an opportunity like Kurt Angle, then in the business that is professional wrestling, quite frankly, they have to take it.

Yeah, at the end of the day... its still just TNA. But I am going to check out their primetime show this Thursday night.

Er, they don't move to primetime until November 16.

The more time that goes by, the more it seems like Vince has infiltrated TNA. I hope that is not the case and that angle can help TNA. It really needs direction.

Christopher Daniels
Alex Shelley
Austin Starr
Aj Styles (can actually wrestle quite well...Not just spot fest)
Simon Diamond (works well)
Christian Cage (Can work a match)
Sting (Not the greatest wrestler, but can work a match)
Eric Young ( )
Chris Sabin
Jay Lethal
Ron Killings
Senshi
Samoa Joe
Hell Raven would be able to work a great match.

Ok so most of them can't go toe to toe with Angle in wrestling moves (chain wrestling n all that) but they can still have outstanding matches with him. Angle had great matches in WWE against people half as talented as these guys. Not a fucking clue what you're on about.

Several thoughts here, so bear with me...

2.I don't know if anyone ever mentioned this when it happened but...

To add to the conspiracy theory, TNA is owned by Panda Energy, right? What's the mascot of the organization that made WWE change it's name?

3. When Kurt DOES come start in-ring action, I hope TNA has the sense to use him with the SAFEST talent they have at the beginning, regardless of how OVER they are. I mean, what long-term good does acquiring Angle do for TNA if he dies main eventing his first PPV with a sloppy wrestler?

I think it's pretty cool. I would have hoped to see Angle take more time off to recover, but he definetely did get people talking. Also, at the very least their is some real interst in TNA now. Not that TNA is a direct threat yet to the WWE, but they did make a huge splash, which is good news for them. Finally people are talking in a positive way about wrestling, which is awesome to hear. I am looking foward to see how this plays out.

Wow, totally suprised by this. As much as I love Kurt, he is a huge idiot, he needs to rest and heal up.
