It was a 0.09 improvement, I'd attribute that to the Caps improving overall his 2.91 is also good for the 3rd worst GAA of his career as a starter. His save % was down and actually was the worst of his career. Which further tells me his GAA being better was less to do with him and more to do with Team Defense.

Dan Boyle's future in Tampa is very much in play. Sources say the Lighting are close to a deal with three teams, however as many as five teams may be in the mix.

Looks like I was right about a possible trade.

Uhhh dude Roberts is a 4th liner now days 3rd if he's on a bad team. Fedotenko could be a top 6 forward on the Pens because Malkin and/or Crsby have the ability to make players better. See Malone, Ryan for an example.

FYI - Rob Blake is now a part of the San Jose Sharks! (1 yr..5 million).

San Jose might rival Anaheim and Detroit, in terms of having the deepest defense now. San Jose was already stacked on 'D' prior to the Blake signing.

p.s. I wonder how many inter-division games the Kings will win this year?! (SJ 8 times, Dallas 8 times, Anaheim 8 times, Coyotes 8 times).

Kings might be one of the few teams in the league that are more fucked than the Canucks!

Yeah WTF Laraque was a little pricey, but at least it adds an enforcer since Kostopoulos isnt THAT intimidating. Getting Marc Denis as a depth goalie, bullshit.

Habs need to sign some good free agents. Rangers sign Naslund and Redden, they are looking serious although Jagr may be leaving.

Russian club Avangard Omsk says it has signed Jaromir Jagr, a day after the New York Rangers parted ways with the star winger. Avangard announced the signing on its website today but did not disclose the terms of the contract.

Sources tell TSN Dan Boyle has signed his no-trade clause and has agreed to a trade to the San Jose Sharks.
The paper work is now in the hands of the NHL. Pending NHL approval the next step will be the finalization of the deal.
In return for the 31-year old veteran defenseman, it is believed Tampa will receive a package that will include 23-year old defenseman Matt Carle, a first round draft pick, a prospect and a 4th round pick.
Sources say defenseman Brad Lukowich is also part of the deal going to San Jose.




LMAO so yes Tampa Bay really is retarded. Filip Kuba, Matt Carle, and Paul Ranger will be their stars on defence this year. Sharks finally have two premier defencemen so they are looking like a threat.

Well with Price, obviously he is the man in Montreal for a long time. Halak is a good goalie too, if he develops into something above average then we could trade him for an upgrade elsewhere.
