God that backstage brawl is terrible. There should be way more weapons around the place. that TV camera being used gets very repetitive. Also I hope that Triple H wasn't the computer's character. that AI is among the worst I've evr seen. everytime he picks up the camera he just stars at john Cena and never hits him.

No thumbtacks. I was hoping for these. It would be cool if you get get the bag from under the ring, spill them out anywhere you want then we'll say you have to whip your oppenent towards the tacks, they stay groggy next to the tacks then by pressing a directional button and circle there are 4 different moves you can do with your opponent to slam them into the tacks. It would look great if the tacks stayed on their back with bits of blood for the rest of the match.

No barbed-wire boards/bats. I was hoping for these since triple h has used the barbed wire bat a lot and the barbed wire board was used at backlash 2004.

No fighting in the crowd. they did this in one of the earlier smackdown games and i thought it looked great. Why did they abolish this?

No proper tag team table match. In these matches when someone goes through a table they should be ELIMINATED. It sucks when you're having a 6 man tag table match then when one guy gets put through the table it's over.

Meh, come on, he has a right to complain. Surely every single one of us has sat there and thought "I wish this was in.", or "That's so gay. Why is that there?", or the world famous "The commentary is wrong!".

Don't get me wrong. I'm not bitching. This game looks like it'll EASILY be the best WWE game to date. I even felt more assured of that when I saw the trophy case with the titles in it ( ), but it's HARDLY the be-all, end-all of wrestling games. It may be great, but it'll be flawed like hell. Then again, every game is loaded with them. You just have to look. I mean, hell, yeah, enjoy it. This game is going to be Jesus. But on the other hand, when the first signs of SvR 2K7 show up, everyone will be jumping on that bandwagon talking about how inferior 2K6 was.

I guess because SvR 2K6 is looking to be a lot better overall than SvR was. Granted, we won't know for sure until we're playing it, but on paper, it already looks 20 times better than SvR did.

Furthermore, the build we see used in the videos is NOT the final build. Why don't we wait until we have the game in our grubby little hands before judging it, hmm?

Basically, what you're saying is that we all thought SVR was hot shit before SVR 2006 was shown to us. Of course we did. Let's take motion-capturing for example. This has never been done before in a Smackdown wrestling game. Of course we all now look at SVR as the retarded half-cousin of SVR 2006 beacuse we were complacent with what we had at the time. And yes, of course we are all going to be praising SVR 2007 and trashing SVR 2006 because it will have even more features that we might not have ever thought of before.

That shouldn't stop us from praising SVR 2006 anyway. And please don't tell me this game won't be the best ever. It has all the makings of a classic, like HCTP and No Mercy before it. Sure, the roster is a bit outdated, but remember the roster deadlines. Besides, that's what the CAW feature is for, which apparently is one of the best CAW features yet.

Oh, nah, nah, nah, don't get me wrong. I agree with praising it. It's not disappointing at ALL up to what we've seen. It's a huge improvement over SvR. It hasn't even come out yet, and I think we all can pretty much come to that conclusion.

It just reminds me of certain people on Xbox Live with Halo 2. I like it decently enough. Granted, I wouldn't pay to see the movie or anything like that, but if you go to a gaming board, there are so many people saying that it's the best game ever. Now I'm not putting anyone down who likes H2, but there are FPS's that have better gameplay, presentation, etc. than it does.

So yeah, I agree with praising it completely. It won't disappoint. On the other hand, next year they'll come out with something better, and something with more potential to be a classic than 2K6 is (I would assume), since it'll have an even bigger roster, probably more matchtypes, and just all around more things to do. I still find myself playing SvR and HCTP quite a bit, just like you said. But after a couple more wrestling games that were as influential as they were, those two will be a memory (I still claim that No Mercy is immune to fading out. ).
