I agree Alge is def a top 10 (or maybe even top 5 since after Gates and Gonzo theres usually debate) and Hall is a top 10 CB in the league and Brooking is one of the more underated LBs in the league.

I dunno.. Mcmichael can contribute. Klopfenstein and Byrd are gonna be great as well, Klopfenstein really showed some flashes last year.

Fahkir Brown missed a test, he didn't do anything to get that 4 game suspension. He said it was simply a misunderstanding of the testing time or whatever. Also, Bob Sanders is on the PUP list. Tough guy.

Also, I thought coming out Klopfenstein and Byrd were going to be nasty, and they still can be, but sticking them behind McMicheal is not helping. This is one of the few times I think youth over experience would be a plus. Randy will pull some attention off the others, so I guess it will work out, but I dont know if I would have done it. I guess that is why I dont have a job as a gm.

Dude, he just turned 28 and he's only been in the league 6 years...

I don't think he ever lived up to his full potential in Miami, we'll see what he does in STL.

Also, the Patriots have been very succesful making TE a key component, signing free agents and drafting, Grahm 1st round 2002, Watson 1st round 2004 and then Dave Thomas 3rd 2006

Damn Chad Scott just got put on IR ending his season...he was projected a starter at CB for the Pats since Samuel still hasn't signed. Really gonna have to sign Asante now, since right now the starting corners for the Pats are Ellis Hobbs and Randall Gay or maybe Brandan Meriweather who played safety in college

There was talk of putting merriweather at saftey and wilson at CB...

Not sure Wilson thrills me at CB, and gay/hobbs hold their own, but their asking to get burned, especially by 6ft WR's.

Russell is going to hold out it seems. He wants at least 30 mil guarnteed.

Culpepper should start for Oakland then either at the later part of the season or the start of next they should start Russell.

I really have a problem with people holding out, you're getting paid to live a dream and you are gonna miss training camp to get an extra million dollars or something. If I was in that position I would seriously play for no salary or the minimum required salary no matter who I was.

I totally agree AM, but guys look at it like ''I am better than so-so at my position and his team is paying him double what I am making, so they expect a large contract like that for themself.

I dunno I disagree and I don't think thats what they are thinking about...Personally I think players feel that teams aren't loyal to them..so why the fuck should a player be loyal to the team?


Granted these guys make a ridiculous amount of money, but still, it's a business. If a team is ready to cut a player and totaly void his contract at any time why shouldn't a player hold out for more money? They are the only ones generating all the money anyways...Nobody is packing the stadiums to watch the GMs play on Sundays you know?

It's very rarely, if ever, about that. It's more about agents trying to get the most money they can for their clients. If an agent does what turns out to be a bad deal then the next year other agents can point it out when recruiting - "I wouldn't sign with that guy, look at the lousy deal he got for his client last year".
