Riiiiiiiiiiiight, got the game mid morning and have played it solidly till mid afternoon/evening. Here are first impressions/thoughts:

- First match I did was a ladder match between Kennedy and Vito, who I randomised. Love the new way of finishing the match. Oh and Kennedy is awesome

- So far I've unlocked a couple of achievements and legends, the secret ones are stupid ones like "create a superstar in CAW mode" and the same with create a belt. Got two secret ones left to do, probably create a ppv and something else.

- Money in the Bank is the biggest cluster fuck match ever. The AI is terrible, always setting up ladders, taking them down, then setting them up, and taking them down again. Took over 40 minutes to complete the match, I managed to get the guage down to the bottom and then got pulled off, and about 15 minutes later RVD managed to climb up and just yank it down.

- Season mode is going good, had a couple of interesting storylines. Benoit and Taker were fueding and then I managed to get in the mix. Then after that one, I was named Number 1 contender for the World Heavyweight Title, which Johnny Nitro didn't like, but he ended up my tag partner/image consultant. I won the title and now he is saying I was ungreatfull for his help, so it looks like I'm gonna fued with him now.

- Found the CAW layout abit of getting used to, which resulted in a rather dodgy looking guy, but I'm gonna go back in a bit a play around with it some more.

- The challenges seem to be all matches this time round, so will probably steem through them pretty quickly.

Really enjoying it at the moment, haven't gone online yet so cant really comment on that yet.

The other secret ones are Create an Entrance, Create a Stable and Create a PPV yeah.

EDIT: you also don't get an achievment for completing superstar challenge mode, I got one more to do on Legend now so I'll see if I get one for that.

EDIT 2: No, you don't for Legend either. Spoiler about Special challenge, highlight to read: There's only one, You as Mickie James against The Great Khali.

And you can't even go out the ring...

Hmm didn't get one for create an entrance or at least not that I noticed. Do you need to do the basic or advanced option? I did advanced and got nothing.

Must be simple, I did that first hoping to tweak it in advanced :P

You get an achievment called curtain call.

Yeah, you get cash, but the final challenge doesn't even unlock anything. The other 2 unlocks the ECW and Saturday nights Main event arenas along with a couple of belts, but all you get is a little bit of cash for the final one.

One question, and I apologize if it's already been addressed, but I'm skimming the thread now as it seems that people have got the game and are posting spoilers, but has the AI for ladder matches been fixed or are we still stuck with the CPU being a fag, diving out of the ring immediately, getting a ladder and going straight for the belt?

2 questions.

How's the Royal Rumble and does the crowd actually count down before the next wrestler comes in?

Also in Hell in a Cell and Cage matches are there enterances or do they simply go straight to the match like in the previous games?

No and yes there are entrances for cages/cells, with the structure hanging above you.

FFS, you can't TRADE CAWs with logos either. Whos fucking shitty idea was that?

Oh, and money in the bank is piss easy to win. Once a ladder has been set up in the position, set up a ladder on the ladder (Shelton Benjamin style) and just run up it. Find the sweet spots and it's yours.

I noticed the AI has trouble shaking you down from the ladder in MITB/ladder if you set it up shelton_style, although I haven't really done any more MITB matches.

Had a couple of matches online last night with Extreme Angle, experienced no lag what so ever. First match we had was a TLC match, he was Orton, I was Kennedy, he won. Second match was an Ironman, I was Angle, he was Khali. Khali is like a giant troll, bloody huge. Ended 3-3 after I spammed out two headlock submissions in the last 10 seconds to draw

Then we had a ladder match, CAW vs CAW, insanely gay how they cant have logos or letters on them if you want to play online. My guy looked like some generic wrestler, his looked like K-Fed. I won after about 20 minutes with a Razors Edge over the top rope to the floor, and then yanked the belt down.

Just finished my first season mode "year" and have just been traded to Raw. One thing that got slightly annoying with being on Smackdown was all I ever fueded with in storylines was Benoit and Undertaker. Won the WHC three times in that "year" but have now lost it due to going to Raw, but but was given the WWE title, boo.

Was the online match done with someone in the same country and were you the guest or host? I've never had any lag problems as host, only when I connect to someone else

I just got it through. Of all the days Royal Mail chose to get to me at 4pm, its the day they have this. Oh well, I've got it now. Just experimenting a little bit before I go to season.

Also got 48 hours of free Live Gold which is pretty cool

Well this was weird, im playing through season mode with taker, me and batista go to raw for some matches, batista vs masters, me in batistas corner edge in masters corner, i go round and crack edge with a chair and batista gets disqualified,. How the fucks that work, edge wasn't even the one fighting the match? Also it seems its fine and dandy to put them through the announce tables but use any other form of weapon and the dq always happens.

Also anyone seen the 360 review of this game? Ign basically copied and pasted the ps2 review and gave it the same score, funnily enough they scored the 360 version 8.0 for graphics and the ps2 version 8.5... i guess xbox live online play, faster loading times and better graphics don't mean anything to reviewers these days.

Anyone find the create a stable option kinda weird? Nomatter what when you enter as a tagteam it only ever annouces whoever was the first member of the group, then yo can't alter anything about the entrance in terms of camera angles or pyro

Hmm just noticed that if you win witha created stable tag team it announces both wrestlers as the winner but not when they enter.

My team of hogan and piper (the hip replacement club stable) just got both anounced as winners.

I think it depends on the entrance animation. After doing mine in advanced, he doesn't come out with the title, has it on during the ramp part of the intro, then it's off for the rest

The spiner belts are fun, i just got handed the wwe title on raw, hammer the right trigger (or just hold it down) on the entrance and it spins.
