Same here. I've rented it a couple of times, but I don't know that I would own it if there wasn't a gift-giving occasion coming up.

(I'm still having trouble with the Beefcake/Hitman cage match and the Sharpshooter challenges... Damned slow thumbs!)

Here's a way I heard you can make the game a bit more fun (GameFAQs):

You have a match with your friend or just the computer, and you limit yourself to a specific number of reversals each minute. Lets say you pick 2. You can only perform 2 reversals each minute. Unused reversals don't rollover. It makes it more strategic. Like if you have used up your two reversals, you can try to get away from your opponent, by like going to the outside and taking a breather. You can return with more reversals and work your offense and defense.

Sharpshooter challenge was pretty hard for me, although I did the Beefcake challenge in 1:20. I just kept hitting him with Atomic Drops and then hit his special atomic drop and climbed out.

For the Cage Challenge, just get Bret on the ground and keep on doing the head punches (up grapple?) on Bret until you have all 3 specials filled. Then hit him with a sleeper, and steal a piledriver from him.

Dunno, worked for me.

the sharpshooter challenge was fun for me. that beefcake challenge was a pain in the buttocks.

but what makes the game any fun for me now is makin up my own storylines and creatin the shows revolvin around those storylines.

Same here. In the hardcore match in the weeks leading up to Mania in story mode, I destroyed Benoit. I hit him with every weapon and threw him into every object before finally beating him with an elbow off the pop machine.

Plus, in title matches and triple threats, I just grab a chair and go ballistic.

Next time I play, I'll have to try the methods you guys mentioned for the cage match. Last time, I actually made it to the top of the cage before the whiny bastard knocked me down.

I had the same bother with the Cage Challenge mate, here is a hint for you, almost guarantee you will do it first time! Edit Brutus's moveset, giving him the Pedigree as his finisher! Then, continue to do the head punches and whatever else, once he is worn down, hit the pedigree and climb out

I don't know if there's anything more satisfying in this game than:

STEP 1: Build up your Dirty meter.
2: Knock your opponent down.
3: Pull opponent up so you're standing behind them.
4: Taunt.
5: Low blow!
6: Repeat 3 + 5 over and over and over again until your Dirty goes away.

Something about five consecutive punches to the balls that makes me laugh...

QUOTE] I used to do that, but I've realized if possible use the championship belt. You drop it after 3 hits like everything else, but you can immediately just pick it up again. Also I think it does more damage then a chair, because every hit is always directly on the skull.

I love in this game that when they go through the top of the HIAC they are pretty much knocked out forever.

I have been getting into the clean tactics lately, sure you have lots of fun with the dirty tactics metre, but while you have the clean metre full you cannot be hurt, your skills go up a bit (probably .5 or 1 rating.) and your finisher does double damage, it's good for blocking moves and hitting finishers, I was Christian I reversed a move and ended up behind them, so I thought "unprettier"

extra note: Pressing Triangle while on a table goes behind the opponent and people with behind finishers can perform them on the table perfectly, Unprettier through a table is great to do.

What else... Oh I love placing the two tables (tlc) infront of an announce table (stacked or just side by side) then nailing a 'last call' off the announce table, right through those tables

Oh and what is with Jericho not having the lionsault as a finisher That kick isn't Jericho's finisher, it should just be a sig. move

You can only be backstage if you choose that as the setting for a hardcore match. It's in the arena list with all the shows/PPVs. You can't go from the arena to a backstage area mid-match.

And, I guess the Parking Lot Brawl is technically backstage.

I miss fighting backstage, but I also understand why they took it out. There was no way to move from area to area that made any sense (i.e., I walk through a door into the boiler room and...my opponent's already in there!), and since WWE hasn't had a Hardcore Title in almost two years, it made sense to drop it.

Now, if only they'd do the same for Bra & Panties matches...

well I've went through all those Playstation games from Warzone all the way up to SvR. and I must say that there are plenty of steps up and quite a few steps down.

LIke from Warzone to Attitude there were many steps up, few if any steps down.

From Attitude to Smackdown the steps down included a lot of characters not making it, but steps up included the new engine. The engine that made it easier to do everything.

From Smackdown to Smackdown2 steps up included better graphics, improved engine and the such.

2 to 3 included major steps up since it went from PS1 to PS2 so that really isnt fair except they tok out Create a PPV which was teh dumbest thing they could have done.

from 3 to 4 incldued updated rosters, smoother action, better Create a Wrestler, and the such

4 to 5 included more steps up then down including better graphics a lot better Create a Wrestler, and the such

5 to 6 was supposed to be the ultimate step up but comparing pros and cons it's a step down. I mean sure the graphics are improved and a major plus includes the Create a PPV mode and create a belt mode but with teh piece of crap story mode, the ultra expensive belts, the wrestlers that did make it in the game and those that didn't this game compared to the other has "sucks" written all over it.

This might have been answered already but I just got the game for Christmas and I was wondering what that Diva option is on the match screen.You know when it says Play/Skip/diva.If it is apart of season mode don't worry you can ruin it for me me.

same entrances.. it was awesome i was Batista had Torrie, Stacy and Sable all as my managers.. Stacy was so/so to get but the rest where easy to get as your managers.. just go in with no titles pick the first option when you see Torrie and Tajiri fighting and then at Backlash beat him and you got Torrie.. PM me if you wanna know how to get the rest...
