Disturbed's Countdown Notes: 80's Hogan


Video 1 - The Entrance

Real American starts up and 80's Hogan comes out and does the ear taunt on the ramp. He walks down to the ring and his name comes up on screen as Hogan 80's He gets in the ring and does the ear taunt again and his muscle poses.

Video 2 - Fight Time

Match starts out with a tie up, which Hogan wins. Hogan lands with a couple of punches on Kane and hits a powerslam and suplex.

Video 3 - The End

Hogan hits some more punches, this game is really realistic. He clotheslines Kane down and then hits the legdrop and gets the three. He then celebrates.

Video 1 - The Entrance

I knock off of the nWo porno music plays, it's not that bad actually. Hogan comes out strumming his guitar and walks down to the ring. He gets in the ring and does more air guitar and muscle flexing.

Video 2 - Fight Time

Oh what a fucking suprise, Hogan landed a punch on Flair He follows up with two powerslams and a backbreaker. He finishes off with a nasty looking DDT.

Video 3 - The End

Hogan botches a clothesline to the back of Flair's head and slams him down to the canvas. He then drops the big leg and covers Flair for the three. Hogan then celebrates.

Video 1 - The Entrance

Exactly the same as 80's Hogan, but with feather boa's.

Video 2 - Fight Time

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! or a variation of it by Hogan on HBK. A powerslam follows and a backbreaker. Hogan then hits a running next breaker, to which HBK replies by smacking Hogan in the balls.

Video 3 - The End

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU! Punch, clothesline, legdrop, pin, celebrate.

They should have called the 80's Hogan, Hulk Hogan.

And just put "The Hulkster" above his name, so that on the selection screen you have a choice of Hulk Hogan, Hollywood Hogan and Hulk Hogan. Instead of Hogan 80's, Hollywood Hogan and Hulk Hogan.

Big news, according to someone that went to IGN Live:

the massive trophy in the trophy room is apparently "GM of the Year Award", meaning GM Mode is the new mode....hopefully that's true

Also heard that Mankind has his old theme and that only a few guys (Cena, Carlito, HHH, Kane, Austin) have alternate attires

On the subject of the Hogans...

'80s Hogan = great. You can really tell the difference between Hogan of then and Hogan of even WCW era.

Hollywood Hogan = thumbs down at the lack of actual nWo music, but that theme isn't too bad. Is that really '02 nWo Hogan? The blacked-out stubble was actually kind of cool. No problems with that Hogan at all, really. He didn't look -that- much different in '97 save the fact he didn't have that stubble for a long while.

the recent Hogan is kinda useless though. But LOL @ at him doing a "F-U" style move...kind of exposed the fact that until Cena used to fall with the other guy, that finisher was nothing more than a glorified fireman's carry with a little flair on it.

I plan on going through the whole game with every wrestler, but the idea of doing it with Charlie Hass first sounds like fun.

Of course I plan on making my stable of my own CAWs that I've used in e-feds years ago (Daniel Knight, Mynd, "The Reason For The Ratings" Lance Silver, Alex Case... not that you care about the names)

I absolutely adore the fact that CAWs will be able to use any superstar (aside from Divas, I'd say) voice template, as well as 5 or so original ones in season.

looking at that last pic, I think its quite cool that you can regain stamina while doing moves, nice technique

HCTP's season was the best because it was so flexible, you could bring in all your CAWs and see them in season mode storylines instead of the same wrestlers over and over. You could have your own stable of your own CAWs in season. And most importantly, it was anything but linear.

I have always been against voice overs, I am fine with just reading text as long as I get all of the above back.

All we need is commentary, not friggin voice overs for every wrestler.

I agree with voiceovers not being necessary and actually hindering the game.

And yes, there is a Hassan mode. The more wrestlers' promos you interrupt, the higher your Hassan! rating will be. Once you reach 100, you get a trophy and it unlocks Teddy Long in the Fulfill Your Fantasy mode.

Honestly, I am never going to even touch the FYF mode. I used the B&P mode like once or twice in SVR to try it out, but I lost interest very quickly.

But yeah, if this was SVR, I would say no, that Female CAWs could not be used in that mode, because of the 2D-ness of clothing. But now that all clothing is 3D, it could very well be possible. But I doubt it.

If it were, then I would actually use the mode to further storylines with my female CAWs
