It was for a charity. Only bad thing was him saying "I just wanted to feel like a winner" while wearing the Manning jersey compared to how bad the Titans are right now. Would be crazy to fire him though since it was a charity event.

So The Govenator gives the green light to build a 75,000 seat stadium outside of L.A. Chargers, Raiders, and 49ers are on the list of seven teams to be approached to see who will make the move.

So football fanatics, which team is due for a change of scenery? And, who do you think are the other 4 teams?

Would be crazy to move the 49ers since that team is an "elite" NFL team in terms of history. It would be like moving the Bulls out of Chicago post-Jordan. Also don't really see the Raiders with their decent fan base or the Rams with their decent support as a sports town loosing their teams.

Its probably going to end up the Jaguars leaving regardless if they get Tebow or not since most pro sports don't work well in Florida (except for Dolphins and maybe the Heat).

I dont think jacksonville will move.

If anything else happens with the coaching staff at oakland, then I see them moving back down there.

The state of michigan might form a milita and march on the rest of the united states if they take the lions.

St. Louis is a good chance too.

I can see san diego a little bit too.

Unless it is one of the cities like jacksonville or buffalo you can expect an expansion team in the next 5 years once they move a team.

If they expand they would need to get it to 36 teams pretty quick or else it would be messed up like it was before the Texans came in with an odd number of teams. I doubt they would expand in this economy BUT if any of the major leagues could pull it off it would be the NFL. Maybe an International Contingent with Toronto/London/Mexico City/Some other City in Europe

3 6 Team Divisions per Conference with the playoffs being the top 2 in each division and no Wild Card teams. The 3rd #1 seed would play the worst of the #2 seeded teams and the other 2 #2 seeded teams play each other. Best 2 #1 teams get byes just like now. Yay for going back to AFC/NFC East/Central/West as well. 18 Game schedule implemented as well. Each team in the division twice, plus all 5 of the same final standing in division teams from the previous year just like now, plus one additional team from the opposite conference's 3 divisions making for an even 12 In Conference Games and 6 Out of Conference Games (similar to 12 and 4 now)

Im not saying the Bills will never move, but they wont move to LA. If the NFL wants a team in Toronto, it will be the bills. But they wont move them to LA.

My money is on the Jags. All the CA teams are making money, Jacksonville is a pit.

Even that would be another issue in how much the CFL would allow its Canadian fan base to split support from its own league with NFL during the season.

A team in London is such an awful idea. What free agent is going to want to move to England? Who's going to want to put up with that travel schedule? London to San Diego is like a 16 hour flight. A London team is just going to be a bunch of rookies and castoffs that can't find other work.

I don't want a team here. It just wouldn't work. Unfortunately every time it gets mentioned it results in the most retarded, xenophobic elements of the NFL fanbase coming out chest thumping and flag waving about "their" football, but to be quite honest apart from the logistics of it all the sport is not big enough here yet to support a full time team. We don't even have MNF right now because the TV rights cost more than any channel is willing to pay for a program that will be shown at like 1am, taking into consideration the falling ad revenue that is occurring everywhere. It sucks but it's the reality of the world we live in right now.

They're talking about having more than one game a season here, I don't want that either. It will a) take the shine off the one game that we actually get (even though tomorrow is going to be an asskicking of epic proportions, unlike the great game last year), most people won't be able to afford multiple games, especially in the current economy, and when people start picking and choosing which games they go to, overall attendances will fall and the whole thing will just end up falling away. One game a year is fine.

Ok, I have never been much of a fan of football, perhaps because I never really understood it/had interest in it.

Could someone explain how it works>

I mean with Downs, how points are scored, etc.

You get 4 chances to go 10 yards, if you get 10 (or more) yards, you get another 4 chances to go 10 more yards. If you don't make it in 3, though, you usually punt it away or kick a field goal if you are close enough, because otherwise the other team will get the ball where you left it. Field goals are when you kick the ball into the big yellow goal post thing. They are worth 3 points. When you reach the endzone at the end of the field you get 6 points and then you kick the extra point which is a mad easy field goal to make it 7. You can go for a 2-point conversion which is one chance to get a touchdown from 5 yards away I think. That has a much lower success rate though so teams usually only go for it when they need two points to tie the game or to be trailing by a convenient amount such as 7.

Ok, so let me get this straight then.

Game starts between say Patriots and Giants (first two teams came to mind)

Giants win coin toss so they go first.

They get 4 chances to gain 10 yards and gain 15 (putting them at the 65 yard line) they then get another 4 chances and punt it to the 80 yard line.

Then the Patriots start at their 20 yard line (80 years from the opposite TD zone)?

So regular field goals are worth 3 points and ones after touch downs are 1 point?

Or they could choose to do a conversion and try to get the ball 5 yards to the TD zone again?
