So much for the promise by the Marlins that if the public paid for the stadium they would make a serious effort to be good and not just dump players all the time like the old Marlins.

Either their GM is a moron or nobody really wanted Hanley even though rumors stated otherwise.

Maybe not for Dempster. I think it just comes to the point of who they are going after. For example, if they were going after Garza/Greinke they may have to put Zach Lee in the trade. (I did hear they were eyeing Garza and might be willing to trade Zach Lee for him)

Days earlier the Brewers GM stated Zack Greinke will be traded and now ESPN hints the front runners are the Rangers and the Angels for him.

Miami after basically being laughed at for the previous 2 trades now are asking for a lot in order to trade Josh Johnson with one source saying its so severe in asking price (several top prospects as s start) that a bunch of clubs are beginning to drop out.

Pitching has been such a disaster besides a few good players this year for the Red Sox.

Cook stinks and no clue why they went back to him even though Morales was a lot better for being a quick convert from bullpen to starter. Worse is the rumors of the Red Sox won't be making any big moves to fix the pitching this year.

Their minor league team in Pawtucket is pretty stacked with depth this year but not at starting pitching.

I don't think Grienke is gonna be there long. He is a free agent after this year. So something tells me he'll go somewhere else in 2013. Do you think Texas might have to trade for Johnson or Garza now because of the Angels picking up Greinke?

Dang, but would the Angels still be able to afford Zack Greinke given the amount of money they're paying Albert Pujols and CJ Wilson?

I believe Greinke will become a free agent, and the way Boston's season has gone, they'll make a push in the offseason to sign him.

Nah Greinke won't be going to a big market and even though he's now in LA, the Dodgers are the bigger team there than the Angels (sort of like the Mets vs Yankees except without the crazy NY media). Then again the Angels are a LA team in name only considering they never moved from Anaheim.
