A great move 6 years ago. I often freak out that Cashman is always half a decade behind the times it seems. Ex. Andruw Jones, Eric Chavez, Freddy Garcia, Tony Womack, Gary Sheffield, etc... It's nice to have veterans, but not alllllll veterans.

It's been all downhill for him ever since he signed with the Mets, TBH.

Should've stayed in Minnesota. With that ballpark the Twins have now, he probably would've won every AL Cy Young up until now.

The Tigers just handed a contract extension to Justin Verlander that will keep him in Detroit until 2019 with a vesting option for 2020.

He'll earn $180 mil. over the next season 7 seasons, the option will give him $22 mil., add in this and next year's money, he'll earn a grand total of $202 mil.
