This is quite possibly the worst preseason game I've ever seen.

I know, it's only stupid preseason but jesus christ. I normally only watch the starters and will maybe watch for a drive or two of the backups. The starters hardly had the ball the first quarter, looked absolute crap in the 2nd, so they're back out there for the 3rd.

Oh yeah, and Jonathan Cooper, the first round OL pick this year, just had what looked like a very serious leg injury.

Coughlin said none of his starters are likely to suit up next week. I dunno...the first team offense looked shit aside from David Wilson. Eli has been horrific this preseason. I know preseason means nothing, etc. but if the O-line and passing game looks that bad in the regular season, it'll be a long year.

Just got Legatron as my Mr. Irrelevant pick. It was a conventional draft (which I now HATE, although at least it's fast). I had the #2 pick so I was sweating Martin vs. Spiller. My friend drafted right behind me so I figured the pick would define both of our seasons. Went Martin, but then he took Charles instead.

But before his second pick, my friend got logged out and it took James Laurinaitis. He got back on in time to take AJ Green and Frank Gore. Then it logged him out again and it took like 4 defensive players in a row. Never seen Yahoo fuck somebody over like that in a conventional draft. He had no pre-draft rankings. It was supposed to just take the highest player available to fill out open spots on his roster and instead it filled out all of his IDP spots, including a few bench spots.

Autodrafts kinda suck. Obvs for something like a TPWW one it's necessary but if you're in a draft 'vec broskies doing an online draft is incredibly boring/terrible.

Going to my 2nd big money draft later this afternoon and feeling like I am going to destroy everyone.

Legatron is the best. Gonna hit multiple 60 yarders this season.

He might have a good chance of staying or become their starter considering both E.J. Manuel (knee) and Kevin Kolb (concussion) are currently hurt.

Bills want Manuel as the season starter but need him to start practicing before Week 1 while the Bills are worried Kolb's recent concussion has the strong chance of being a career ender.

Could care less about kolb would rather have Leinart than him and that's saying something.

Manuel is still on for week one. Kolbs career is over and Manuel wins the job by default, even though he would have anyways. He has looked good.

They only signed Leinart because they need bodies for the last preseason game, and their only healthy qb for that game and practice is Jeff Tuel.

They also added Thaddeus Lewis for another arm at practice.

The plan with Manuel from the start is for him to be back. That's why they put him into surgery on a Sunday right away. Word is he will be back on the practice field this week without pads but won't be ready for the preseason finale but will be full go a week from today to prep for week 1

I really like EJ Manuel as a sleeper for fantasy this year. Madden comes out this week too. Swear to God, football season is my favorite time of year. The summer heat turns to the crisp, cool air and every Sunday, the week starts off with NFL games all day.

Plus Kris P will be silenced on Week 1 and I won't have to hear any bullshit from him until the delusions of grandeur return November 21st.

Yeah I don't see Bills weren't going to start Manuel regardless. Feel bad for Kolb, never want to see that kind of thing happen to anyone, but there was like a 10% chance he was going to start any games for the Bills barring a Manuel injury

Some people already have Madden. So far I've heard that the losing team gets the huge celebration after the Super Bowl, changing your defensive schemes doesn't actually work (if you change from a base 3-4 to 4-3 and change player positions accordingly, the player ratings will still reflect 3-4 making the feature useless), and even if you relocate your team, you'll still see the old city name all over the place.

Passing on this one unless there's a big patch. I'm still happy with Madden 12. I've played it long enough where Eli has now retired and I have a rookie QB.

There will be a patch, they probably just haven't released it yet since you aren't supposed to have it before tomorrow. I haven't played more than a couple games in any Madden since like 07 or 08 on PS2 I always end up bored of it after a couple games, but my brother gets it most years and last year I remember him complaining about not being able to change player positions and some other features that you had been able to do for years and they eventually patched it up (not day 1 though). So they always make mistakes like this, but at least they are pretty good about fixing them.

Last year was ridiculous. They took away editing positions, numbers, info, etc. even though those were features that had always been in Madden. It wasn't a glitch. They did it because they felt that being able to edit your players would ruin the point of the new Connected Careers mode. They only added it back in after everybody was upset about it.

In the past few years there appear to have been a LOT of glitches in these Madden games. I don't think they even do any quality tests before releasing it. Why bother when you can have people pay $60 to test the game for you? If they had 2 years to make a game they'd have time to iron everything out, but at this point they're expected to churn out a new game each year.

Exclusivity licenses need to end. I want my EA MVP Baseball and NFL 2k series back.

Have you never played any game ever before, patches happen all the time. 90% of minor problems will be fixed within a month of game being released (which, for the record, isn't actually until tomorrow anyway)

Is that why they did it? I figured they had a reason, but I don't think I even played last years version at all so I didn't know what it was.

I still have 2k5 laying around, been thinking about loading it back up when the roster update site I've seen gets around to updating week 1 rosters. It's been so long since I've played it, I wonder how it's aged.

Used to love making Koy Detmer league MVP. The AI had so much trouble picking him off. His arm strength rating was so low they would mistime their int attempt and jump before the ball even got close to them and leave my receiver wide open for an easy first down so often.

Funniest actual thing ever lol

Worst is people who cheesed the game by putting Randy Moss on punt returns (99 or 100 SPD stat, I forget which) because you basically could just run sideline-to-sideline to get the AI way out of position then get a return essentially 100% of the time if they kicked to you at all.
