Poor Mick McCarthy. Man he has some idiots in that team who have let him down. They seriously played quite well in the weekend but stupidity from Breen and that Collins defender cost them. Generally he has done well for the Mackems and is a nice guy I think, if I ever met him I'd buy him a pint.

He deserved the sack after the first month into the Premiership. He is hopeless. His transfers sucked. With the possible exception of Arca and Elliott who might get into maybe one or two other teams at a stretch, they have zero players who have enough quality to play in this league.

No doubt his transfers sucked. However I'm presuming no amount of bad managing results in a defender doing that shit that we saw on Sunday or making Gary Breen such a dickhead. Sunderland's season has been littered with fucking idiot things which the players have to take the blame for.

Sunderland have always been competitive in their matches and haven't been humiliated by anyone. Mick had them punching above their weight. His hands were obviously tied in the transfer market but he built a team capable of competing in the Championship, which is Sunderland's level at the moment.

Sunderland don't have the financial clout of even Wigan or West Ham. Mick was doing a fine job in difficult circumstances and his sacking is fairly senseless at this point.
