Yeah i've seen Heinze play once,just looked like a solid defender.Mind you with Ferdinand back i'm not sure if he's really needed.

From what Ferguson was supposed to have said Heinze signing will put the emphasis on O'Shea to really step up and prove himself in one position as opposed to being more of a utility defender.

I think the main thing you'll need is a good solid defence and a decent keeper. IMO it was letting in sloppy/late goals that cost Wolves and Leicester this season.

Also someone who'll get you a decent number of goals. And a fair bit of luck.

Yeah another central defender would be good. Has anyone seen how crap Neil Shipperly is? I know he scored the goal that took us up but he's shit and the way he plays really pisses me off, anyone know a good striker Palace could sign? Cause the only player that comes to mind is Clinton Morrison.

Claudio Ranieri will finally be put out of his misery today when he is sacked by Chelsea.

Football365 can reveal that Ranieri has been summoned to Stamford Bridge, where he will finally be told his fate.

This follows two meetings last week with first Peter Kenyon in London and then Roman Abramovich in Milan when he expected to be sacked, only to be find himself talking about tactics.

But after Chelsea got assurances from Porto boss Jose Mourinho at the weekend, they are now free to dispense with Ranieri's services.

Mourinho will be officially unveiled as new Chelsea boss within the next 48 hours.

Ranieri is expected to walk away with an £8m pay-off - £6m for the remaining three years of his contract and an extra £2m to allegedly prevent him publicising details of his treatment at the club.

I always liked the guy, he gets on really well with the players and this is going to damage the moral of the team. The main players that don't get on with him are Mutu and Hasselbaink, and its hardly a fucking shame if Jimmy was to piss off anyway.

Spurs or a Serie A side, I don't think he will go to Spain. I would hate it if he went to Spurs and they beat us next season anyway, what with all the money we have spent and they are shit, but it would annoy me more if Ranieri was in charge, but I wouldn't blame him for going there.

Yeah Rachubka did well in goal, United reject. The Mansfiel penalty taker was too cocky.

And how they hell did Sodje stay down for seven minutes? It didnt look THAT bad.

He rejected Celtic because of the quality of the SPL even though they are in the Champions League every year. Obviously Qatar's league is better than the Premiership or he would went there.

Well his agent claims he rejected Celtic because they offered him a trial,rather than a deal straight away.

He obviously went for Qatar for the money,why should he get less at a mid table side who will not be playing in Europe in the form of Bolton.As a Barcelona fan he's proved to me that he is a quality player.You can use that diving thing on so many players now that its untrue ,so that last comment is unjust.

Agent claims. He forgot to mention he got offered 40k a week when Celtic were first interested and used that to get more out of Bolton. Celtic and Bolton got sick of waiting.

Diving comment is unjust? Oh come on! He got hit in the thigh with a ball at the World Cup and went down holding his face to get the guy sent off. And who else do I use diving excuses on?

I'd rather play for Bolton for 25k a week than spend anytime playing in a Mickey Mouse league. If Bolton is good enough for Okocha and the rest then it's good enough for him.

Yeah it could and in most cases, I'd say those who have went there aren't good enough for other decent leagues. I think the De Boer's and Batistuta possibly are but that's about it.
