We'll see. I just had my first match, an elimination tag match (Benoit, Mr. Kennedy and Trips vs Cena, Rey and Burchill).

You guys weren't kidding. Countering is a motherfucker. I'm not a fan of the new grapple system either, but hey, it was my first match, I'll get used to it.

Hey, can anyone else confirm that you can't use Experience points you've earned until you finish Season Mode? I went through about 13 months of Season Mode as Boogeyman before I lost to Kane twice a week before WrestleMania and got traded to Raw...only to start all over again. WTF. And I couldn't even use my 12,500 Exp points. I got fed up and started over with Kurt Angle (95 rating) in Legend Difficulty. I'm going to just sim all the matches and hope I win the important ones.

Then hopefully I can win the title at WM and use my Exp points.

But is there a way to use them before finishing Season Mode?

What the fuck? I've played the season mode like 3 times and I still have not gotten to SummerSlam. I'm doing one with Edge right now, just won the tag titles with Masters at Unforgiven, get traded to Smackdown, But i've done a season with a Smackdown guy and it doesn't go to SummerSlam. ( and I played it threw till WM. ) So where's SummerSlam?

No clue, But I've yet to play at SummerSlam, and the 3 Faces of Foley are all I need for Legends. Just wondering... who did you use in season when you got SummerSlam?

i've got all the legends...
i did smackdown on hard and raw on normal and got all the ppv's,
stuck on the legend challenges thou, how the hell do you beat mick foley, mankind and cactus by using mankind .
also i gathered 80k exp in season using randy orton, when i completed it i tried to use them but i couldn't... so you need to complete it using a caw...
if you want i will come online and trade you my 99 caw so you can just edit him...

Three words EA....Count Out Victory Also, you got to be Dude Love against Mankind, Cactus and Foley.

I went through season with my CAW and got Summerslam everytime.

Only need to unlock the GM Mode trophy and then I've done it all apart from the online achievements.

Speaking of online, I found out something more annoying than button mashers and move spammers....QUITERS! Should have won at least 6 more matches than I have if people didn't be fucking dicks and quit, so I neg rep their ass :foc:

Had an awesome elimination tag match online though. I was Batista and my partner was RVD, we went against Edge and Triple H. My partner got pinned after about five minutes and left me to fend for myself. Got my ass handed to me but managed to turned it around. We were all in red and I clotheslined HHH and speared Edge and pinned him, then I went back to Triple H and Batista BOMBED!!!! him for the three, I was really chuffed

I've built my CAW up from 38 on season. Just vary your moves from striking, quick grapples, and running grapples/ strikes, until you get a finisher. Then try to lay on a couple of heavy grapples, then hit your finisher.

Rinse and repeat

I guess it sorta makes sense, but I'm used to taking different wrestlers through Season Mode and then using their experience to build up my CAW. I usually stay realistic with mine, so I keep it at like 94 or so.

Summer Slam missing??

This is something else I mentioned about improvements to be made to the series.

Last year you had a few Raws then a PPV but not all of the PPVs. Bullshit.

As I said earlier I started a season on Raw with HBK (on 07 I mean) I had 4 weeks of Raw, no PPV, turned down the title shot and went straight on to WrestleMania!! Surely that's not normal!

This game is gonna last me a looooooooooong time. I unlocked everything and played season mode through twice in the first week last year. Now I'm working (out of the house from 8:45am til 9:30pm everday) I've hardly had chance to play.

Oh well, value for money I guess.

Hey, for two years now, we've been told that we can use existing superstars' voices for our CAWs. Is that or is that not true? And what's up with that Mexican-sounding CAW voice somebody used in a YouTube video once? All 5 of the voices I got have American accents for the most part.

Which controller setup you using?

If its the analogue one it's pretty simple...

Just do any strong grapple and move towards the hotspot, should start automatically. So grap and go to corner/middle of ropes/announce table/ring barrier/steel steps/ring post/centre of ring apron.

On another note...what table specials are there?

I've done chokeslams with Taker and Big Show, a DDT with someone else and I've seen a pedigree through one too.

Theres also a power bomb. I was kinda pissed off that you can't chose one for your CAW. Same goes for the winning animation

Wasted 15 minutes during a season mode match, I was Flair against Bam Bam in a Parking Lot Brawl.

Only to find out the match couldn't possibly end, as neither Flair nor Bam Bam has an Impact finisher

Anyways, the game is still fun, shame I've been really busy lately or it would be getting more playing time. I still have yet to make my CAW. I also started GM Mode, and once again got my ass kicked because I book like a smark. Also, being unable to challenge for a title unless you are in the Power 25 is the most retarded idea ever

Rey Mysterio is so fucking ridiculous in this game. I mean for fuck sakes, he reverses everything gets special in after two moves and pins you in orange.

I was Finaly I hit the celtic cross and knocked Mysterio into red he kicks out at one gets special hits 619 and pins me in orange.

Hmm, I got a unexpected KO in season mode by flapjacking Orton onto a car, so yeah, you don't need a KO move to finish the match.

I'm still undecided on the game. Yes, it's fun and I enjoy the environmental grapples and some of the new features, but take all that out and I'll much rather be playing 06.

My overall feeling is that this game is pretty good gameplay wise but there's just so many stupid glitches in commentary, ring intros, etc.. that it really ruins the experiance.

Can't say I've run into that many audio glitches. The only one that really springs to mind is a match between Mickie James and Trish where the announcers start talking about Batista.

Out of curiousity, are you playing the PS2 or 360 version?

Also, another random thing I found... If they're on the ground and you drag them to the ropes, you'll put their throat over the bottom rope and choke them.
