I also love the irony of him bitching about the Fulham players 'pressuring' the referee.

Ah yes, that was another one which was pure gold.

But we all know Mourinho thinks that there should be one rule for Chelsea and one for everyone else.

Surely officials shouldn't give decisions unless they're certain they're right though.

The ref said the lino told him he saw it. But there seems to be a lot of doubt about that.

If he saw it why didn't he flag? Cos he didn't. Therefore it was bad even though the result was good. He guessed and got lucky. Doesn't mean that what he did was right.

Nigel Reo-Coker was dominated by Pedro Mendes on saturday.

Not suprising though, since one is a Champions League winner and the greatest Portugese player of all time and the other is a WIMBLEDON REJECT.

Wow even when I wrote this I didn't realise HOW BAD Birmingham are. Not saying Liverpool didn't deserve to rip them to shreds but come on. No Premiership team should ever get beat by another one 7-0 never mind at home. Makes me embarassed and I don't even give a flying shit about Birmingham and want them to go down. Fucking hell so bad.

To be fair, all of our goals tonight could have been avoided by better teams.

Crouch's first and Cisse's should've been kept out, and I'm sure Taylor's positioning was off for Riise's goal.

The marking was non-existent for Hyypia's goals, and they just left HUGE gaps for the Morientes goal and Crouchie's second. Plus the own goal.

Liverpool played well, and cut them apart, but I think it was more a case of Birmingham being pure shit, than Liverpool being that great. I'm pleased with the result, and with the strikers scoring, there are a lot of positives to take from the game, but Liverpool fans shouldn't forget that we just beat, in my opinion, the worst team in the league. Even Sunderland don't capitulate like that.

I can't really see how you can call Birmingham worse than Sunderland. Sunderland haven't won at home all season and are on course for not only the lowest points total in Premiership history but I think in English footballing history. HOWEVER, recently Birmingham have been playing worse. Just terrible terrible football which would make me feel sick if I ever was unfortunate enough to be a Birmingham fan and paid to see a game.

Sunderland, for all their faults, have not fallen apart like that at all this season, which in a way is credit to McCarthy (in a backhanded sort of way). They're a worse team, but in a way Birmingham should be far more ashamed because they have much better players and have performed much worse.

Good point about the better players MMM. They have been playing so shit I even forgot that there are some half decent players at Birmingham. The only reason I want Birmingham to stay up is because they want to sign Nicky Butt. If anyone else wants him I'd be amazed. Otherwise they don't deserve to stay up and they almost certainly won't.

Yes we were shite tonight and have been for most of the season and the chances of us staying up are slim at best but we are by no means worse than sunderland, sorry Mackem.

Just out of curiosity packt up why are you so desperate to see us go down.

I wouldn't say desperate . I just hate it when big teams are down there really. I actually really like Bruce and think he's an alright bloke but his management this season has been terrible. I dunno what it is in me but if a good team is doing shit I want them to suffer for it. It was the same with Leeds I just wanted them to get there come uppance or whatever. Rooting for the underdog and all that. I don't think you can deny that Birmingham should be doing better than WBA, Portsmouth or even teams like Fulham for example.

I agree I think we should be doing better than the teams you mentioned but sadly for me we aint and we have no one to blame but ourselves. Some of Bruce's decisions this season have been very bad for example playing 17 year old Marcos Painter at left back and Clapham in midfield when he could have easily paid Clapham at left back and Lazaridis in midfield.

Of the three of us down there I think Pompey will be the ones to get out of it.

Yeah that decision confused me too. Lazaridis has even played at left back quite a few times if I'm not mistaken?? Painter looked very edgy against Gerrard who of course is absolutely world class. I always remembered Clapham as more of a left back and Lazaridis as a midfielder but I know they can play at both positions.

Today I was almost certain you would lose before kick off and then after 55 seconds it was literally all over. I used to think Pompey were destined for the drop but lately its all been going there way and the other teams have seriously hard run-ins. So I think they will stay up too.

Yeah Lazaridis has played at left back a few times but was not all that convincing.

As we are in agreement about the teams that are going down who do you think will replace us, obviously Reading are a certainty.

Yeah we aren't to be honest. Chelsea look like they are dawdling but still not too bad. Defending for the goal was shocking still however. And lol at Given pushing Babayaro, wish more people would - maybe he'd learn to defend once and a while.
