I watched the first half an hour of Germany vs USA last night before the Chelsea game. The US ended up getting hammered 4-1 but they seemed to be playing the weirdest formation ever.

Real Madrid did that same formation a few times this season.

Makes a change for the US anyway. I still remember them playing 6 across the middle.

They were talking about that formation and said the reason why the Americans used it was because they wanted to shove the ball down the middle as much as possible as they thought that was Germany's weakness.

Yeah Real used that quite a lot I remember a few years ago. Had Makelele and Helguera I think holding with Zidane and Figo in front of them and then Ronaldo and Raul. Not a bad team. Didn't do much though.

If I was playing those "players" that kind of money I'd be fucking pissed if they played that poorly. Seems as though the players are employed by him its not a big thing that he expects some sort of level of performance from them. League two sides get beat 7-0 by Premiership teams (rarely) not fellow Premiership sides. Fucking hell that result still pisses me off so much I just want to slap all those Birmingham players.

I dunno, I mean, I think he has a fair point, the papers talk bollocks a lot, but they need something to go on, and it seems as though Defoe was touted to clubs, and we probably did the same with Cisse, hence Rafa has come out with this.

Then again....he could be trying to unsettle a player we want to sign in the summer.

I dunno. I just don't like clubs speaking on behalf of others you know. I know lots of clubs do it and Rafa ain't the first I just don't think its right when anybody does it. Another thing is Inter and Van Nistelrooy. With that one i think it's clearer that its there to unsettle. I'd swap Cisse for Defoe any day btw.

Yes same here cisse is a bag of shit while i don't no what problem spurs have with defoe but he's a decent player in my book!
