They'll definitely be doing the Cena/Barrett teaming down the line.

After this whole thing is done, though, Barrett may as well go back to FCW for a while and reinvent himself. It's the only way he can come out of all this looking decent, by the fans forgetting who he is.

Don't get how you guys don't see how Barrett has been buried as a complete inept buffoon time and time again.

To be fair, he might be a good face. All he has to do is feud with Nexus and Miz and not even change his character. Raw only really has Cena and Orton as top faces right now (Although JMo is coming, obviously) while they have Miz, Punk/Nexus and Sheamus as heels.

They've built Barrett into the main event since he started and he's held his own easily. I don't see him moving out of it for at least a few months and even then, look like someone who could be a threat when needed.

I mean seriously why would Cena and Barrett join forces, friend of my enemy is my friend works in most situations but these two have been trying to kill each other for months. If anything Barrett should be even more pissed at Cena blaming him for causing the distension in Nexus that lead to his expulsion.

An another option which could work is Cean and Barrett take out Nexus, and then when Cena goes to celebrate Barrett fucking kills him. Proving that he a) is still a killer Heel and b)doesn't need Nexus to get the job done

Im just really pissed bcause this entire angle could have made Barrett a fucking superstar and instead they've booked him like a total assclown

I agree, but they'll probably have Barrett going around looking for help and no one willing to help him after all he put the company through. Keep Cena off TV a few more weeks, and have a segment where Barrett is getting beat down by Nexus. And in the distance, the cries of "rabbadoo" are heard and Superman swoops in for the save. They set up the match after Cena cuts a promo essentially showing pity for Barrett.

Jesus, I really hope that doesn't happen but it's a complete possibility.

Nah, fuck the Nexus as far as Barrett is concerned. Just turn on Cena and go completely rogue. Or tell Cena to fuck himself, win the title after Mania while Nexus are still focused on Cena and feud with Punk after that.

Doesn't even really need to win the title. Have him be #1 contender and have Nexus think "Oh shit, we didn't see him as a threat" and nexus can take him out. I cannot wait to see what they do with how entertaining Raw's been in the past 2-3 months.

Problem with that is antiheroes only really work when the crowd is ready to cheer him, and by crowd I mean everyone not just you and I and Xero. Very few people are ready to cheer Wade Barrett, hell when Punk kicked him off the cage there was more cheers than anything else

No fucking way should Nexus take Barrett out, Barrett is Nexus really, Otunga is bland and everyone else can't work the mic for shit and some can't work in the ring for shit.

They'd probably have Barrett come out acting like Cena too, all animated and cartoony, saluting and shit.

Fuck feuding with Cena is like a death curse, because Cena doesn't put anyone over ever, I don't even mean necessarily losing either, you can put the other guy over and still win, Cena doesn't even do that.


Hell this whole thing is stupid why would CM Punk kick Barrett out anyway, he had spent the last several weeks on commentary showing sympathy for Wade and standing up for him to the other announcers, Wade is the strongest member of Nexus and the only won he you know can win matches and yet you toss him out to keep guys like Otunga (who has shown to have terrible plans, who has shown to always go behind the leader's back only to fuck things up), it doesn't make sense to kick out your strongest guy.

They should have had Nexus constantly beating Cena and have Barrett have multiple wins over him, including at least one win that was clean. Then start the SummerSlam build and ended Nexus right there with team WWE going over, but had Barrett get away somehow and regroup a few months later as a solo guy who's gunning for a world champion Cena.

Barrett wouldn't have had to win the title or that feud, but he would have had to look strong.

But I digress, they ruined Barrett for me.

What I thought would have been awesome is that as soon as Cena became part of Nexus Barrett should have ordered him to take out Randy Orton, help Nexus win matches, etc... Then set up a match between Orton and Cena and order Cena to win the WWE title. From there you could do two things, Cena lies down for Orton and gets fired and then beaten down and taken off tv for a bit. Or as I'd love to have seen it Cena wins then the next night on Raw Barrett orders Cena to defned the title against him and lie down. Cena does so but when Barrett makes the cover,Cena rolls through 1,2,3 still Champ but fired. Have Cena cut a promo saying that the prestige of the WWE title means more to him then his job, then Nexus jumps and kills Cena off TV for a few weeks. So now the title is held up and the GM declares that the KOTR tourney will determine the new WWE champion. Now here you could have Orton win KOTR and then have the Miz cash in right after (Orton would have had to wrestle 3 or 4 matches let's not forget) or Shamus wins beating JMO and then the next week at the coronation ceremony when JMO kicked the crap out of Shamus have MIz come in and cash in and there voila you have almost exactly the same feuds as before only now Barrett doesn't look like a complete idiot (I mean yes Cena pinned him but Barrett would have regained his heat by killing Cena right after) and the WWE title is put over a little more even as Cena cared about it more then his job.

I really don't like the idea of a Nexus and some Nextus group considering they'd BOTH be heel groups. It's just odd.

While some idiot criticized one typo I had by then doing typos himself, I just wonder if you could have a few tag teams developed and a three way feud.

While Barret and Sheamus fought each other last night, I could surely somehow see them create an anti-Nexus AND anti-Cena team. Sheamus had his run-ins with the group in late 2010 to the point he'd run from the ring so there is a history there. Sheamus isn't currently in the title picture but still has some significant cred. Perhaps you could add Sheffield when he gets back from injury as being a Barret loyalist since he never really was booted from the group.

You could also have Cena and R-Truth essentially form some sort of alliance since Truth is around Sheamus on the pecking order and was also fringely involved in the Nexus storylines. Throw in Daniel Bryan and/or Darren Young and you have a team there as well.

Half the Raw roster would be involved in this, but it could be a package to get you a big match at Wrestlemania and potentially main event future PPV's. Having some triple threat match of Punk vs Cena vs Barret. Or some sort of 2 vs 2 vs 2 tag match at Wrestlemania could be made.

Meanwhile you can keep the Orton/Morrison/Miz title matches in picture with perhaps a returning Y2J to feud with the face that is not the #1 contender.

Again to me, to make it work you'd need to elevate a few mid level heels to fill out the US title division picture. Like maybe having poor Ted actually win a match.

I don't wanna see a Barrett led Anti-Nexus group. Wht would a guy like Darren Young who was callously cut from the group by Barrett have any sympathy for Barrett? Pretty much everything Nexus did was on Barrett's orders, so why would anyone that they attacked want to team with him?

Of course, you have the "Bigger Picture" idea. Maybe they are setting it up for Barrett to "turn" and re-join Nexus (kinda like McMahon being the "Higher Power").

Personally, I'd have Barrett "banushed" to SmackDown either by Punk threatening to wreck havoc on Raw if Barrett stays so the GM sends him acorss or "for his own protection".

Then, when Taker returns, he can start up a fued with Barrett - due to costing him the Buried Alive match - who won't have Nexus to back him up anymore.
