It would be interesting to see how Kelly turns out in the new timeline.

Rogue retained her white streak in her little cameo, so some version of the Liberty incident did indeed happen, or at least some event with Magneto's mutation machine.

Almost would have preferred that they didn't show so much of the "happy future" bit. Left the past more open to change.

Like, maybe screwing around with the timeline somehow makes Iceman/Angel/Scott/Jean all born earlier and Xavier can assemble the real "First Class" for the next movie. Clearly that does not happen, though.

Yeah that's what I mean, feel that would've been the route they'd have taken if Jennifer Lawrence wasn't such a star right now. Don't get me wrong, the film was great, but the Mystique scenes were definitely the low points of the film for me. It all ties in though with her character being all about being proud to be a mutant etc etc etc

Just got back. Thought it was really great. Safe to say that Quicksilver surprised everybody, after those pics surfaced. Totally get where they were going with the look now, and it works.

Good to see Mystique flipping around and breaking arms again. Missed that in First Class.

I have the same concerns as others about the future ending. If we know that everyone lives to have a wonderful hope filled future, doesn't that kind of remove the tension and drama from any further movies that take place in the past?

Maybe they can just use some superhero sci-fi mumbo jumbo to explain that the happy future is a divergent timeline where Apocalypse was never born. Multiverse theory and all that.

Also gonna reiterate that they should have held off on the X-Men: Apocalypse announcement.

Post credit scene was great, but how much more awesome would it have been if it was completely unexpected.

I think you are looking way too hard into it. Just because the future at that point looks bright, didnt mean there wasnt any nasty shit that they had to further go through to get there. It also doesnt mean that it stays that way forever. It didnt even show that things were good, but rather that everyone was just alive.

Saw this last week at the Chinese theater in L.A. Have to say I absolutely loved it. Easily the best X-Men film they've pumped out in a long, long time. I want to say it's about even with X2, which was may favorite of the series going in.

Agree with everyone on Quicksilver. He was a joy to watch. Loved the "my mom knew a guy who could that line".

Everyone brought their A game to this movie and it showed. Was very much pleased with Magneto consistently being a heel bastard and damn near ruining everything at the end.

Great fucking movie.

Can't they just keep doing combined movies?

You could just have Patrick Stewart telling Wolverine what he missed out on, as we watch The First Class cast go through it. I feel like that could happen.

Also with the 3rd Wolverine movie you think they just re-do X-Men: Origins Wolverine with a different spin?

Actually Apocalypse has been confirmed to be telling another duel perspective story with two casts (thought not as prominent as Days). If I had to guess; the secondary setting would be Age of Apocalypse.

Wolverine 3 could just retread Origins now that there may be a very different version of the Weapon X thing to have occurred. In fact, everything about Wolverine 3 is up in the air. There are three whole timelines to choose from. Of course, Hugh Jackman has already revealed that they've looked at Old Man Logan. I just wanna see X23 and the return of Sabertooth.

There's no point to do anything prior to Days of Future Past like a direct a sequel to The Wolverine, because that whole timeline doesn't exist anymore.

Just do a new version of Origins. How many times do you actually get to redo a movie that everyone wants to see? Redo it

It would be exactly like the book so I imagine they would adjust things to make it a fitting movie experience.

Jennifer Lawrence wasn't that big of a star yet in First Class, and that movie was mostly about Mystique, as well. Maybe the makers of the last two films were just big Mystique fans?

Finally caught this yesterday. Enjoyed it, but didn't leave me with a 'WOW' feeling once i left the cinema. That being said, i really enjoyed the First Class cast, except Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique. Huge man crush on the actor playing First Class Magneto. The guy exudes the perfect attitude and energy.

Just an observation: The casual viewer was pretty confused regarding the plot. A lot of people in the cinema kept whispering questions back and forth asking their companions, or just wondering aloud why the X-Men kept reappearing and disappearing, etc. Especially after the first scene and the end, when we see everyone alive and healthy.

Did any of you experience the same?
