There is a high probability that spawn is included. Netherrealm has a deal with MacFarland to use him in a game and its only for the next couple years or so.

I don't think it's a deal so much as Todd being cool with it if they choose. And from the sound of Todd in that interview I don't think there's any kind of time limit. He seems to be a fan of MK.

Videos from IGN and live streams from NetherRealm confirm Predator, Tanya, and Tremor (MK Special Forces) as the next set of playable characters.

Mocap was planned to be in MK X but got dropped due to balance issues and having a hard time fitting in the storyline.

Stryker, Smoke, Rain, Kabal, and Cyrax are all rumored to be the next set(s) of characters to be revealed in the near future.

What I was saying is the roster will look as it is now because character expectation supersedes explanation. Of course after the fact they'd come up with something. The roster looks exactly how it would based on what I was saying. You don't think they'd just add a character and not come up with a story?

And now we have popular characters return and people think the mind control plot was first penned and then returns happened. This is seriously not how fighting games are designed.

One of the reasons fighting game backstories are often absurd is because when characters are created or chosen from the franchise backlog, they choose in regard to player options/expectations. Can some of you entertain the possibility that the roster may have been constructed how I said? Just for curiosity?

The producer of the game no longer is willing to promote the game on Twitter due to constant death threats. Final straw was someone threatening to kill his family if Reiko wasn't added in the game.

Scrubbed his Twitter account to remove all personal and business-related info on it.
