So in 3 hours, the only real note worthy stuff was the Becky-Steph segment and EC3 actually doing something for once. Maybe Balor vs. Lio Rush as well.

Everything else was pretty much skippable or just watch the Hulu version.

That's pretty bad for a Road to Mania show since this is when WWE usually puts the most effort into RAW.

I'm going to assume it's going to be a pretty precipitous drop off. The past 2-3 weeks have had a consistent story thread from beginning to end of the show which has definitely helped, but this week, they front loaded the Becky Lynch segment the crowd was hot for, and then had nothing to really keep people tuned in.

Finn vs Lashley was promoted, but I don't know how much of a lure that is. Angle's "future" is a potentially decent draw, but it's not to be something people needed to absolutely see live to keep them tuned in.

Hoping this was a blip and they haven't entirely abandoned the "story thread through all three hours" pattern they'd been settling into.

Note:

WWE still hasn't announced the ppv calendar for this year (other than SummerSlam/Survivor Series) and they usually announce this in November the previous year.

They haven't even booked the location of RAW the week after WM yet.

I feel like I vaguely remember reading something about them talking about changing their live events system/schedule because revenue was down in that segment, but I may be making that up.

Ok, am I just being a sexist or are there WAY too many women segments nowadays? Personally, I am not a fan of having two women’s matches on Raw (to each their own), but holy hell, they’re literally turning the show into some Feminazi takeover. I already lost the urge to keep up with show when they were aiming for the children’s demographic appeasement, but now it seems (although I could be wrong) like they’re switching to a predominantly female demographic. I think I’ll wait for AEW to grow enough to the point that they’re an actual threat to Vince’s shat-show before I return to watching wrestling full time again, provided there’s good content to come of it.

The only thing that remotely interested me was to see how Jarrett performed. So glad he ditched that 90's attire as looked pretty shit on him now. Only watched the WWE YouTube video of it, so about three minutes worth.

God, Raw is so unwatchable right now.

I listened to the Post Wrestling recap. It sounded fucking awful. And before anyone says "Maybe you should actually watch it," fuck you -- maybe it should actually entice me and not sound awful in bites.

In theory, I get the Steph/Becky stuff, but Steph is fucking horrible. I don't care about her in the same way that Vince demanded you care. Vince was the WWF, and he still is the WWE. Steph is playing owner, but she's not really the owner, and she's nowhere near the star her father is.

Also, I've just got to say this -- I love Becky Lynch, but the scripted "I've got heart," "my moment" faux-Stone Cold stuff is really third rate. It feels so inorganic. It's not even that's Becky's bad, it's just that it's lifeless and cliche by this stage. And what's the psychology behind suspending her? The only way that makes kayfabe sense is if they put a spin on the old Austin/Vince dynamic and Steph revealed it was to make people want more Becky, which subverts the purpose of the heat between them in this context.

I'm not buying Becky Lynch main eventer at this point.
